The joint plan, called Forward Macon, focuses on building the workforce, attracting and retaining talent, attract startups and revitalizing neighborhoods.
PILLAR I - IMPROVE WORKFORCE Implement GreaterCareerWorks.org, a web-based app that links recruitment, skill-building, and career navigation into one collaborative system.

Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce continues to operate and update the Greater Career Works platform (greatercareerworks.org) and continues to see most metrics grow. Incorporated Bibb County School District's student internship website onto Greater Career Works Hosted the final two Future Workforce Fridays of the school year featuring the Army National Guard and Georgia Power Worked with Atrium Health Navicent to support implementation of their DECAL grant to increase access to after-hours childcare for third shift employees. Worked with Robins Air Force Base to work through issues listing job opportunities on Greater Career Works Promoted Greater Career Works at WorkSource job fair in Crawford County Presented Greater Career Works to state level leaders with Southern Company, who actively use the website for available local positions
PILLAR II - ATTRACT & RETAIN TALENT As part of Choose Macon, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce will create and implement a talent attraction plan that builds on the region’s cultural and business narrative. Hosted a MAC meetup in partnership with Startup Macon as part of Startup Week, inviting young entrepreneurs to meet casually and network Refreshed Choose Macon marketing blueprint to include digital ads, billboards, branding, website refresh and metric analysis Hosted a welcome event for new medical residents from Piedmont and Atrium Health Navicent, providing relocation information and an introducing to Macon's lifestyle assets
