Women's Division members know that spring starts with planning for Great Taste of Grapevine. 2023 will mark the 27th year that the Women's Division has hosted this showcase of local restaurants, and while this year's event will feel familiar, it will also differ from past years. Great Taste co-chairs Brandi Hodge Villegas and Les Jordan have partnered with the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau to host this year's event on Thursday, April 20th in downtown Grapevine. Weather permitting, we will be at the Cotton Belt Railroad District, both on the train platform and the surrounding area. There will be fabulous food to sample with seating outside and on the train. If our Texas weather precludes us from being outdoors, we will move to the spectacular CVB building at 636 S. Main Street. Either location will represent the heritage and history that makes Grapevine a unique corner of Texas. The funds raised at Great Taste are returned to our community through the purchase of school supply packs distributed at the annual Back to School Fair hosted each year by GCISD. Last year, the Women's Division purchased more than 1,400 supply packs for qualifying low income students in pre-K through high school. This year, the number of qualifying students has increased substantially and we expect to purchase a record number of supply packs. Learn more about how the Women's Division has been serving Grapevine since 1965 by joining us at one of our monthly meetings. Membership is open to all Chamber members, both women and men, who share our mission to serve our community while networking and promoting our businesses. Our March Women's Division luncheon will take place on March 14 at the Blankenship Center and we would love to have you join us.
