Raising the Flag, Honoring the Future: Sammamish Valley Grange celebrates America250 with Flag Day Event submitted by Brenda Vanderloop Sammamish Valley Grange #286 (WA)
Sammamish Valley Grange #286 (WA) participated in Woodinville’s community-wide “America 250” event on Flag Day, June 14, 2026, with a Flagpole Dedication, lecture, and reception. Along with the Woodinville Heritage Society and the Susan Woodin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Grange is helping to connect local events, community members, and organizations in celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary. This initiative is bringing together partners across art, culture, storytelling, and daily living to highlight how Woodinville reflects the broader American story through the people, places, and experiences that shape our shared sense of place. Scouting America Troop 909 presented the colors, then Grange member and history buff Marshall Moon shared a detailed and historical perspective on the American Revolution to a full house.
