Ready to thrill you with fun and naughty moments, Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical, The Rocky Horror Show comes to Blackpool as part of a new world tour.
Having been seen by over 35 million theatregoers, The Rocky Horror Show is the story of two squeaky clean college kids – Brad and his fiancée Janet.
When by a twist of fate, their car breaks down outside a creepy mansion whilst on their way to visit their former college professor, they meet the charismatic Dr Frank-n-Furter. It is an adventure they’ll never forget, filled with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity.
Directed by Christopher Luscombe, The Rocky Horror Show is the biggest party and features timeless classics, including Sweet Transvestite, Dammit Janet, and of course, the pelvic thrusting, showstopping Time Warp.
Mr.Blackpool is an end of the pier show at the end of the world from multi-award winning theatre maker Harry Clayton-Wright. Set in the not too distant future against the decimated backdrop of climate collapse or late stage capitalism – you decide, could be both – four Blackpool performers embed the history of ‘end of the pier’ entertainment into a series of turns inspired by their lives and stories, the town’s history and modern politics. Cabaret, magic, dance and drag, this is cultural archaeology and satire at its campiest, presented in lurid technicolor and garish seaside spectacle.

Connecting through stories and skills
At Blackpool Grand Theatre our projects connect stories and skills. Inspired by stories on our stage over 1,000 young people and many community groups have made their own stories whilst building skills in performance, dance, creative writing and storytelling.
This has built confidence, resilience and listening skills in over 500 children in our schools project ‘Tales Retold’. We were delighted to launch our ‘Small Steps Big Stories’ early years project with 130 little ones.
