Like many successful businesses, Fulcrum Group's growth has reflected the growth of the community it serves. As the needs of clients have evolved, so too has the firm.
What started as a small local practice has expanded into a team of professionals with a broad range of expertise, allowing the firm to offer increasingly specialized services while maintaining the personal relationships that have always been central to its success.
While accounting is often associated with numbers and compliance, the work extends far beyond financial statements and tax returns. For many clients, Fulcrum Group serves as a trusted advisor, helping business owners navigate challenges, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that support long-term success.
This year marks an important achievement for the firm: 30 years as a member of the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce

For Fulcrum Group, the milestone represents more than longevity. It reflects decades of commitment to the local business community and the relationships built through Chamber involvement. The Chamber has provided opportunities to stay connected through local events, networking opportunities, and ongoing engagement with the business community.
Reaching this milestone is especially meaningful given the firm's roots in the early 1980s and its continued commitment to serving clients across the region.
"As a locally owned firm, we believe supporting the community helps create a stronger and more diverse business environment "
As a locally owned firm, community involvement remains an important part of Fulcrum Group's philosophy. The team believes strong businesses contribute to strong communities, and that supporting local initiatives helps create a vibrant and diverse economy for everyone.
More than four decades after opening its doors, Fulcrum Group continues to build on the foundation that has guided the firm from the beginning: professional expertise, trusted relationships, and a longterm commitment to the people and businesses of the Peace Region.

At its simplest, the business of hospitality is about providing a place to stay. But for this 25-year Chamber member, it has always been about much more than that. "At its simplest, we put heads in beds."
It's a straightforward description, but behind it is a philosophy that has guided the business for decades. Hospitality is about creating experiences, building relationships, and providing a welcoming place for travellers, work crews, families, sports teams, and visitors to the Grande Prairie region.
Over the years, countless guests have passed through the doors, each with their own reason for visiting. Some stay for a night, others for weeks or even months. Regardless of the length of their stay, the goal has always remained the same: make people feel welcome and ensure they leave

with a positive impression of both the business and the community.
When asked how the business has evolved over the past 25 years, the answer comes down to a single word: connections.
Through Chamber membership, the Best Western Hotel & Suites Grande Prairie has built relationships with fellow entrepreneurs, community organizations, local leaders, and other businesses throughout the region. Those connections have created opportunities to collaborate, support one another, and grow together.

Some of the most valuable opportunities have not come from advertising or marketing campaigns, but from conversations, introductions, and partnerships formed through involvement in the local business community.
While many businesses measure success through revenue, occupancy rates, or awards, the milestone that stands out most is something much more personal.
For this business owner, the greatest achievement has been building a strong team and creating a workplace where people choose to stay, grow, and build their careers. Long-term employees have become part of the organization's story, helping create a culture built on trust, consistency, and service.
That same philosophy extends beyond the workplace.

Community involvement is not viewed as an obligation; it is part of the business's identity. Supporting local organizations, helping where possible, and building meaningful relationships has always been a priority.
After 25 years as a Chamber member, the business continues to demonstrate that hospitality is about more than providing a room for the night. It is about people, relationships, and creating lasting connections that strengthen both the business and the community it serves.
"Hospitality is about creating experiences, building relationships, and providing a welcoming place for visitors to our community "

As long-time Chamber members, both owners have volunteered, attended events, and actively participated in Chamber activities for the past 20 years. Those relationships have helped create a strong network of connections, friendships, and business opportunities.

Many Chamber members have also become valued customers, helping Signco grow alongside the community it serves The Chamber's network has played an important role in the company's success and continues to provide opportunities to connect with local business leaders and organizations
Community involvement has always been an important part of Signco's story
Over the years, the company has donated digital billboard space to
not-for-profit organizations, helping promote fundraising events, community initiatives, and charitable causes By sharing one of its most valuable resources, Signco has helped local organizations increase awareness and connect with the community
Beyond the business itself, the owners have volunteered with organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Northwestern Polytechnic, United Way, and Maskwa Medical Center
As Signco celebrates 20 years of Chamber membership, the company remains focused on helping businesses be seen while continuing to support the community that has supported them.
After all, visibility is about more than advertising. It's about being present, building relationships, and contributing to the success of the community around you.
"Visibility
is about more than advertising.
It's
about being present, building relationships, and contributing to the community."
