In the Cultural Quarter you can find two galleries (free entry) as well as SeaCity Museum, MAST Mayflower Studios and Mayflower Theatre. Families can learn about Southampton’s connections with the Titanic at SeaCity or see the latest exhibitions at Southampton City Art Gallery or John Hansard Gallery. In Westquay South you can find Showcase Cinema de Lux and Hollywood Bowl. Head down to East Street and take a swing at 1st Base or show your competitive side and try out High Score Arcade, a free-play amusement centre, packed with over 80 games suitable for all ages (pre-booking for both is required). TAKE A PITSTOP… Southampton’s restaurants, pubs, bars, and cafés offer an eclectic range of delicious cuisines from all around the globe all within a short walk from the stadium and most, if not all family friendly. As well as your national favourites, the city is well known for its independent eateries, often home grown and family run. Westquay North and South features some well-loved places including Byron Burger, Kwackers, Thaikhun, Fridays, Wagamama and newly opened Las Iguanas.
If you are looking for alfresco dining, we recommend Carlton Place or Oxford Street, both well known for their independent dining, cocktail bars and outdoor areas so you can soak up the sun and tuck into brunches, pizzas, steaks, burgers, cocktails, coffee and much more. The Cultural Quarter is a great place to enjoy a meal before or after visiting some of the attractions in the area, or you can venture down to Commercial Road for even more choice. Bedford Place and London Road also have lots of on-the-go and sit-down options.

GETTING HERE AND THERE… It’s easy to get in and around Southampton, from bus to bike and rail to road. Southampton is a strong advocate of sustainable travel and we encourage you to walk or cycle wherever you can. For short journeys around the city, why not take a ride on the Voi e-scooters? To get started download the Voi app available on Android and IOS. First and Bluestar buses are operating regularly to get you in and out of the city centre.
