Join KFR in restoring dignity, one table, one bed, one life at a time.

KFR is a charity dedicated to refurbishing donated furniture and white goods to support low-income households and individuals in crisis.
We have two showrooms now serving the Wiltshire community, further strengthening our commitment to social responsibility and local support
By offering a wide range of quality, affordable furniture through our unique two tier pricing structure
Green for those most in need Blue for the wider public
We ensure that everyone has the opportunity to furnish their homes with dignity and choice The expansion to Swindon not only increases accessibility but also reinforces our mission to promote sustainability, reuse, and community wellbeing across the region.
Our mission is simple but powerful: “Because no one should be without a bed to sleep on, a cooker to cook on, or a sofa to sit on.”
We collect, repair, and redistribute second-hand items, saving over 150 tonnes from landfill annually, and make them available at affordable prices or free through our Crisis Provision Fund
This fund directly supports people fleeing domestic abuse, families facing eviction, and children living without basic home comforts.
Beyond our showrooms and our provision fund, KFR is committed to wider social and environmental responsibility.
We are proud to be a Living Wage employer, ensuring fair pay and dignity for our staff.
Across Wiltshire, we work closely with local recycling centres to collect items suitable for reuse, giving them a second life and preventing unnecessary landfill waste.
In addition, our house clearance service offers a cost‑effective and environmentally friendly solution for households and businesses, combining efficiency with sustainability
Together, these initiatives reflect our dedication not only to affordable furniture but also to building a greener, fairer community
We believe that everyone deserves a safe, dignified home, no matter their circumstances. We’re not just a furniture charity; we’re a lifeline for people across Wiltshire who are facing unimaginable hardship
We help:
Families fleeing domestic abuse who arrive in new housing with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
People evicted or made homeless, trying to rebuild their lives from scratch.
Children sleeping on bare floors, without a bed, mattress, or even a blanket.
Parents who can’t afford a cooker or a table, forced to prepare meals in unsafe conditions or eat off their laps.
These aren’t rare cases they’re daily realities for hundreds of households in our community And that’s why our work matters
Our showroom is open to everyone. Whether you’re in crisis, on a tight budget, or simply looking to shop sustainably, you’ll find affordable, quality furniture and white goods, all refurbished with care and purpose.
Every item we sell or donate helps someone move forward Every corporate partner, volunteer, and donor helps us reach one more family in need.
We don’t just support people, we support the planet Every item we collect, repair, and redistribute:
Reduces landfill waste
Cuts carbon emissions
Extends product life cycles
Promotes circular economy values
In the past year alone, KFR has:
Saved over 150 tonnes of furniture and appliances from landfill
Reduced CO₂ emissions equivalent to taking dozens of cars off the road
Supported hundreds of households with essential items many at no cost
KFR works hand in hand with local organisations to ensure that support reaches those most in need across Wiltshire.
Yet our mission cannot be achieved in isolation; it thrives on collaboration
Corporate partners are essential allies in scaling our impact, helping us extend both our reach and resilience.
Volunteer Engagement: We create meaningful opportunities for corporate teams to volunteer, fostering stronger morale, teamwork, and a genuine connection with the community. These experiences not only benefit those we serve but also enrich the culture within partner organisations
Product Donations: By donating seconds, returns, or surplus stock, manufacturers can give new life to items that might otherwise go to waste Together, we transform potential landfill into valuable resources for families, while showcasing a commitment to sustainability
Funding Support: Contributions to our Provision Fund enable us to act swiftly when urgent needs arise, from supplying beds to families in crisis, to providing cookers for single parents striving to rebuild stability. This fund is a lifeline, ensuring that no household is left without the essentials
Through these partnerships, businesses become more than supporters; they become catalysts for change, helping KFR build a fairer, greener, and more compassionate community

Volunteer Power
Team volunteering days at KFR offer more than just a break from the office; they’re a chance to make a real difference.
Corporate teams can:
Help deliver essential furniture to families in crisis
Sort and prepare donated goods in our warehouse
Refurbish items to give them a second life
These hands-on experiences build team morale, foster empathy, and connect employees directly with the impact of their efforts Many volunteers leave with a renewed sense of purpose, and some even return on their own time
“M Group are committed to supporting our local community here in Wiltshire. We love what KFR do for the local community and we wanted to get involved somehow That’s when Dan suggested we helped sort their warehouse area by building and sorting the large stock of beds that had come in. We had a great time today and we are already looking at planning the next one! ”

“Kennet refurb is a fantastic place and it's great that this place exists to stop secondhand furniture going to landfill. The only down side is the two price system, if you you are buying second-hand it's cause you can't afford brand new Therefor the items should be one price to everybody Please consider changing this because it's not fair on the people who can't claim benefits, yet can't afford brand new”
I bought a bedside table and chest of draws from KFR they were delivered on time and the staff were great throughout the whole process I was also able to donate my fridge and washing machine
Thank you Dan and the KFR team
We have visited a few times We don' t always see what we want but have had success at least 4 times This is a great place to get second hand furniture They have sofas, beds, table and chairs, electrical goods and more
A great selection of household items, from furniture to electrical goods With 2 prices, one for those on benefits or the standard price for those not on benefits
Great idea, good prices and well run indeed!
Brilliant place, super friendly and helpful staff, great value, can’t recommend highly enough I was in a desperate position, these guys gave me hope when I thought there was none They really came through when I needed them the most
Thank you so so much!
