Welcome to the 2026 JF Bulls ScaleBuster Bull Sale, IOWA’S #1 SALE FOR PRODUCERS WHO SELL THEIR CATTLE BY THE POUND.
This set of bulls is bred to add pounds to your calf crop and profit to your bottomline. These bulls are backed by some of the most productive cows in the industry. The JF cow herd was built with performance, maternal and overall quality in mind.
All bulls selling will be semen checked prior to the sale and sell with a fertility guarantee as per the terms and conditions recomended by the American Simmental Association. If a problem occurs, the buyer is responsible to return the bull to JF and will have the option to select a suitable replacement or take sale credit.
We will retain ¹/₃ semen interest in all bulls. Therefore, ²/₃ semen interest, full possession, and salvage value sells on each bull.
We are happy to welcome back Double B Angus as guests to the sale this year. Their bulls are being developed at Janssen Farms and are performing well alongside ours.

Welcome to the Janssen Farms ScaleBuster Bull Sale!
What a ride the cattle industry is on! Where does it end? What is the new normal? I wrote this letter last year and thought, there’s absolutely no way I can write this same thing again in my lifetime, and yet here we are. Bred heifers, feeder cattle, fat cattle, kill cows and bulls are all still setting new record prices. The lack of feeders, with the border being shut down, has potential to swing the feeder market even higher, and the lack of kill cattle coming shows promise for higher fat cattle prices. With rumblings of heifer retention slowly starting to hit the headlines, there could not be a better time to line yourself up with a calving ease herd sire.
Cow numbers in the U.S. are not what they were years ago but the kill data says that carcasses are getting bigger to compensate for the lack of numbers. So not only will calving ease sires become a premium, but if they have growth data behind them that premium becomes even greater. There’s no easier way to increase your weaning or fat cattle weights than to buy a bull on a sale named after that exact thought!
Our focus at Double B Angus is to combine EPDs during the mating selections that will lead to bulls meant for breeding heifers and young cows down the road. We select for low birth weight and high calving ease numbers, but that does not mean we don’t consider the growth side of things. Our goal has always been to keep the end user in mind when breeding cows.
