GIMI OPERATIONS

Training for Excellence

"When we invest in training, we don't just build skills we build confidence, create opportunities, and prepare future leaders."

Training remains one of the most important investments we make in our people. The impact is reflected not only in stronger operational results, but also in the growth, engagement, and advancement of our team members.

June was filled with learning opportunities across our operations, with teams spending time exploring different departments and strengthening their understanding of our business. Pictured below, the Honore Apparel team collaborating on opportunities, challenges, and ideas to drive continued success.

Triple Diamond Logistics Center

As we continue to grow our impact across the community, we recently completed a key project walkthrough for our second Logistics Center and third Bargain Barn. The walkthrough confirmed that the project remains on track for the planned opening on July 23rd.

We're excited about the opportunities these new locations will create for our team and the communities we serve. We are currently hiring for several positions in the Venice area. If you know someone seeking employment or looking to grow their career with Goodwill, please encourage them to apply. These roles offer a great opportunity to gain exposure to our post-retail operations and build a rewarding career within the organization.

Team Member Spotlight

Zach received a 5 Star review for his world class customer service. The customer said, “Zachary is kind, respectful and genuinely a positive person.” He told them, “If I can make someone’s day a little better, then I’ve done well.” Outstanding job, Zach!

GIPB OPERATIONS

Second Quarter Successes

GIPB finished the second quarter $937,813 above budget, reaching 106.69% of goal. This success reflects the daily work of our teams and leaders. Thank you for continuing to Pursue Excellence, protect donor value, and drive strong results.

As sizing continues to roll out, we have even more opportunity to build on this momentum. Moving into the third quarter, our focus remains on strong production with full and fresh sales floors.

Summer of Image

June marked the launch of Summer of Image across the GIPB territory, with Sales Floor Image serving as the first area of focus. Throughout the month, stores focused on cleanliness, recovery, merchandising, and customer experience, bringing the initiative to life in ways both large and small.

As Summer of Image continues, July shifts the focus to Production Room Image, with an emphasis on safety, river flow, teamwork, and productivity.

Horizontal Balers

Both North and South Operations received a major upgrade with the delivery and installation of horizontal balers!

This investment takes our Post Retail process to the next level, increasing production from one bale every 75 minutes to one bale every 15 minutes.

A big win for Post Retail and an exciting step forward for GIPB.

The Breakers Furniture Donation

During The Breakers' South Tower renovation, GIPB partnered with the hotel to give quality furniture a second life through our retail stores.

Thank you to Jeff Garboden, Julie Greco, Pierre Pressoir, Mickey Bailey, and our Ryder partners for coordinating the pickup and distribution of this large donation.

This was a great example of teamwork, partnership, and making the most of every donation.

End of an Era

After many years of serving donors in Stuart, FL, the Country Club Plaza ADC closed in June. We thank everyone who contributed to the success of this shed and the impact it made in the community over the years.

PM Reminder

Standardized Status = Faster Decisions (Red, Yellow, and Green)

Instead of teams interpreting status differently, define it like this:

• Green

o Milestones are on schedule

o No major risks impacting the project

o No escalations needed

• Yellow

o Timeline might slip without intervention

o Dependencies unresolved

o Mitigation plan exists

• Red

o Milestones missed

o Critical path is blocked

o Scope/timeline impacted

This is a simple but powerful best practice that scales easily across teams and functions
