GIMI OPERATIONS Triple Diamond – Now Open! July marked an exciting milestone for our organization with the opening of our third Bargain Barn and second Logistics Center at 201 Triple Diamond Blvd. in Venice. Beyond enhancing our ability to serve a growing community with a vast selection of merchandise, this facility has expanded our mission impact by creating employment opportunities for more than 20 new team members.

TLC Meeting – Building Connection As part of the Triple Diamond opening, we introduced a unique New Hire Orientation experience for our team.

Team members spent a day learning about the flow of donations through our retail operations and gaining a deeper understanding of the critical role the Bargain Barn plays in our overall success. The experience also provided an opportunity for new team members to build relationships, strengthen teamwork, and establish connections as they prepared for opening day.

Our TLC team participated in a dedicated learning experience focused on mental health awareness and the power of connection. Supported by Ellie Mental Health of Sarasota and Manatee, the session equipped leaders with a greater understanding of how mental well-being influences both individual and team success, while reinforcing the important role leaders play in creating a culture of support, empathy, and engagement.

GIPB OPERATIONS “Levers of Impact”

“Preserving What Matters”

On July 28, TLCs and leaders gathered at the Port Salerno Civic Center for a leadership meeting built around one idea: the levers we pull every day create impact for our teams, our business, and our mission.

The Breakers, a Palm Beach hotel, highlighted GIPB as an important partner during an event about its sustainability efforts. From recycling cardboard and pallets to giving gently used items a second life, our teams are part of that impact. Donn Githens, Brady O’Neil, Abra Joseph, Jeff Garboden, Julie Greco, Arlene Skerrit, and special guest Patrick Githens attended the event.

After kicking off the day with a lively game of Bop It, leaders took the stage to share best practices on sizing, transaction value, recovery excellence, rotation and pulls, real-time coaching, and safety culture, showing how each lever contributes to our success. The day also included a review of the new six-week training plan, insight from leaders who have gone through the process, a meaningful conversation about mental health led by Ellie Mental Health, and a reminder that world-class customer service is a lever everyone can pull. Even in his absence, Brady was part of the day through a video message. A special thank-you to Josh Simkowitz for recording the presentations and to Arlene Skerrit for helping support the meeting.

Sunscreen Contest Congratulations to the Woodbridge GGC team, the clear winner of our Sunscreen Contest! Thank you to all of our teams for their engagement and participation as we begin to pull the New Goods lever. The runner-up will be announced on August 10.

SAFETY & RISK MANAGEMENT Safety & Risk Management It was an exciting month for Safety, Risk Management, and Loss Prevention as we supported the grand openings of GIMI's third Bargain Barn and second Logistics Center at 201 Triple Diamond. The Risk & Safety team partnered with operations to provide training on PPE, material handling equipment, safe lifting techniques, and trailer loading while welcoming and connecting with our new team members. This collaboration was a great example of our Mission Statement and Core Values in action.

Loss Prevention Katina and Holly traveled to GIPB with our insurance partners and legal counsel representing Workers' Compensation and General Liability. The visit provided valuable insight into the importance of timely reporting and reinforced our shared commitment to protecting our customers, team members, and organizational assets. Bernard in LP was also able to show a little recognition. Well done! The GIMI Risk Management meeting focused on safe trailer loading practices for donated goods, reinforcing our commitment to protecting team members, customers, and the donations entrusted to us. Thank you to Dora and Chris for leading this important discussion. Michelle shared key audit trends and highlighted the positive impact our teams are making through their ongoing commitment to improvement. These efforts continue to support our Core Values of Prioritizing People, Promoting Accountability, and Pursuing Excellence.

Jamie Berger, Loss Prevention Manager, recently visited GIPB with Kevin Ouellette to connect with the team, gain insight into operations across the territory, and support the ongoing efforts of Jerry and Beau. This month, our primary Loss Prevention focus remains on strengthening cash-handling practices. By following established procedures and paying close attention to cash accountability, we can reduce overages and shortages while helping protect our team members, customers, and organizational assets. Loss Prevention and Risk & Safety remain available to provide training and support on NetTrack reporting, alarm systems, and other LP-related processes.

Recognition is key!

Cybersecurity Tip: Verify Before You Update Congratulations to two Information Services team members celebrating service milestones this month. Thank you both for the commitment and expertise you bring to the Information Services team every day.

Legitimate updates come from IS-managed tools — never from a pop-up, an email link, or an unexpected support call. • Close any pop-up claiming your device needs a driver update. • Information Services will never ask for your password or MFA code. • Report anything unusual to the Service Desk right away.

We digitized the talent acquisition requisition process into the Requisition Tracker; a Power App integrated with WESA.

• Real-time visibility into every open requisition • Leaders can view, track, and produce reports on demand

• Requisition status captured in one system of record

Why It Matters • This replaces a manual spreadsheet that was prone to keying errors and lagged behind actual hiring activity. Leaders now work from a single, always-current source of truth.
