God is great and He is a good God.
A lot of people have issues and are looking for help—a place where they can feel accepted. During these times, it can be difficult to find a church home. In my own life, there have been times when people have prayed
for me in church and have interceded for me. It is always great when somebody can stand in the gap for you when you are feeling at your lowest. It is also important—even more of a blessing—when you can do the same for somebody else.
“After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the Lord had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring. The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part” (Job 42:10-12). Job 42:10 tells us that when Job prayed for his friends, God was touched and Job was fully restored twice what was taken away. This is why we go to church—to support one another.
