Why is it important that I participate?

The Lycée is like an international village—where families join together to build something bigger. Participation in the Annual Fund demonstrates our shared commitment and support of what makes the Lycée so unique. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly impacts your child, their classmates, and every teacher. Collectively, your gifts fund the experiences that define a Lycée education.

I am already paying tuition; why do I need to make a gift to the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund provides critical, flexible support that tuition alone does not. It allows us to remain agile and act on unique opportunities, offer strong financial aid, invest in academic programs and faculty, and enrich arts, athletics, and after-school programs.

How much should I give?

Just as there is huge diversity in our community, there are gifts of all sizes. Our median gift is $500 and our leadership giving threshold is $25,000. We encourage all members of our community to support the Annual Fund at a level commensurate with their ability to give and sustain every year. Every gift of every size is important, meaningful, and deeply appreciated.

What is a matching gift?

Many employers have a matching gift policy that can double or triple the impact of your donation. Please check your company’s website for more information about their matching gift policy and how to apply.

Je paie déjà les frais de scolarité ; pourquoi devrais-je aussi faire un don au Fonds annuel ?

Les frais de scolarité ne couvrent pas la totalité des besoins de l’école. Le Fond Annuel fournit un soutien essentiel et flexible, permettant au Lycée de rester agile, de saisir des opportunités, d’offrir des aides financières substantielles, d’investir dans les programmes académiques et le corps enseignant, et d’enrichir les activités artistiques, sportives et extrascolaires.

When should I give?

Some donors jump in on our Day of Giving—November 20— to be part of that collective effort. Others make a pledge—a promise to the school that you intend to give a donation by the end of the fiscal year. For instance, you can pledge $2,500 to the school in November but decide to pay it in March. It is a way to solidify your commitment to the school on your own timeline while making the promise to contribute in advance. All Annual Fund gifts should be completed by June 30, 2026, the end of our fiscal year.

I plan on attending the Gala. Doesn’t that count as my Annual Fund gift?

We’re so grateful you’re joining us at the Gala—your support of this special event makes a meaningful difference for our community. While Gala proceeds do benefit the school, ticket purchases are not considered gifts to the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is a separate effort that directly supports our students and programs, and every family’s participation truly matters. We invite you to consider making a gift to the Annual Fund in addition to attending the Gala. Unlike event tickets, Annual Fund donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How else can I help?

There are many ways to make a difference! You can volunteer to reach out to parents you know, help share information about the Annual Fund, and encourage families to join together toward our goal of 100% participation.

Quand devrais-je faire mon don ?

Donor-Advised Funds (DAF)

You can recommend a grant to the Lycée through your DAF and enjoy associated tax benefits. Donors aged 70½ and older also can make qualified charitable distributions directly from their IRAs to a charity to reduce their tax burden.

Matching Gifts

If your employer has a matching gift program, please send your company’s matching form in addition to your Lycée contribution. We will return the form to your company, which will issue a matching gift contribution directly to the Lycée. A Lycée donor receives full credit for both the original gift and the amount of the match.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts (also known as legacy gifts) include naming the school as a beneficiary in your will. This can offer donors tax and income benefits while ensuring a vibrant future for the Lycée.
