Dear Gonzaga Faithful, As the third oldest Jesuit high school in America, Gonzaga has embraced our Bicentennial anniversary with enthusiasm, devotion, and humility. We are deeply indebted to the visionaries who came before us and who prepared Gonzaga to thrive for the decades – and indeed centuries – to follow. The young men of Eye Street have enjoyed a wonderful year on campus, and their excitement in the classroom, on the stage, and on the playing field has been a joy to witness. Held in early December, the Gonzaga Mothers Club Gala, A Roaring Return, was a great success and served as a bold testament to our collective resilience, sense of community, and strength. We have begun our next two hundred years with vitality and excitement. We continue to remain true to our commitment to mold young men of faith who meet the rigors of their academic demands, and who are well prepared for what awaits them beyond Eye Street. This publication, which we call our Printer’s Proof, serves us in two important ways: to thank the many who have invested into life on Eye Street thus far this fiscal year (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022) and to encourage those who have yet to make a gift to do so before the end of June. This publication reflects gifts that were made between July 1, 2021 and April 15, 2022. The names listed here, as well as those who make a gift between now and June 30, will be included in our Annual Honor Roll of Donors this fall. In addition to gifts made to our annual fund, The Gonzaga Fund, this publication reflects gifts made to the Forever Gonzaga Bicentennial Campaign. Generously chaired by Monica and John Thompson III ’84 (P ’19) and Michael Tierney ’70, the Forever Gonzaga campaign’s primary focus is to maintain our accessibility by growing our endowment – including via funds whose remarkable impact is highlighted on page 23. As our endowment grows so too will our ability to keep tuition low relative to our peer schools and to maintain and grow tuition assistance to deserving students and families. This academic year, Gonzaga had a financial aid budget of $4.1 million, offering tuition assistance to over one-third of our student body. In addition, Gonzaga offers a tuition discount to all of its students – as full tuition is significantly less than it costs to educate our young men. Our ability to offer this level of aid is directly dependent on your generosity. We are extraordinarily grateful and humbled by your support.
