2026 Continental Connection Bull Sale

Page 1

Welcome WELCOME

Welcome to the 8th annual Continental Connection Bull Sale. The optimism and positivity in our industry right now is absolutely radiant. Farmers and ranchers are finally being compensated appropriately for the hours of work we put in to feed the world! But, we all know that this business is so much more than feeding cows and baling hay – this is a people business! Therefore, aside from the quality of our bulls, you, our clients, are our highest priority. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us so services like free feeding and free delivery are ones we are proud to provide. Don’t let distance stop you from owning the genetics you want. You handle the selection; we’ll handle the rest!

This offering of Limousin and Charolais genetics have been carefully selected for you with docility, performance, fertility, and longevity in mind. They go through our strict selection process and must meet our criteria for temperament, yearling weight, and scrotal measurements. The bulls are developed on our corn silage and haylage ration with our homegrown brown oats and a mineral supplement. They are fed with longevity in mind while still offering the growth and performance you demand. They will be semen tested and guaranteed on sale day. They deserve to be seen in person to truly appreciate their power, however, videos will be available online in early March.

We invite you to join us in person on March 14th to view the bulls, have a great meal, and bid at our live auction. BC Livestock sales staff will be onsite to answer your questions or confidentially bid on your behalf. Live online bidding is also available through BC Livestock’s NextLot platform. Of course, you are always welcome to come view the bulls any time prior to the sale, coffee is always on!

Respectfully Yours,

PINNACLE’S NEW ORLEANS 3N 1

We wanted to start the catalogue with a bull that not only makes us proud having bred both his dam AND his sire, but one that could go into any program and be a calving ease King! His dam is a young cow that is a full sister to the Kansas City bull that is working so successfully in the Eden Meadow’s program for the Hepper family. She knocked it out of the park with this calf and we are very excited to see her develop in our program. New Orleans came small, but then grew like stink, the perfect combination of calving ease and performance. If you’ve never experienced the excitement of New Orleans yourself, this guy will get you pretty close!

LVLS Denver is an AI sire that we have used extremely successfully in our program. He’s produced sons like the previously mentioned Kansas City bull who is making his mark on the Eden Meadow’s program, but also females like the dam of Lot 1 who are producing herdsires themselves. This bull is long bodied, big topped, super hairy, with just a moderate 72lb BW. Be sure to put 3 stars beside this guy.

3 PINNACLE’S NO ESCAPING 10N 4

Another pen favorite here. I have loved this guy since he was little and he’s impressed me at every stage. His dam is beautiful, heavy milking cow that came to us from the New Life Limousin program in Ontario and has impressed us year after year. She had a two year old son in the sale last year who is now working for Walter and Lisa Elisa in Vanderhoof, BC. This long bodied, deep chested, big footed bull has a herdbull presence to him and will command your presence on sale day.

There will be No Escaping the attention this guy will be getting on sale day. A sleeper in the pen that has exploded since weaning and is quickly making his presence known. This is the first bull this cow has given us after several daughters and she nailed it with this guy. His moderate 82lb BW coupled with his Limo muscle and eye appeal will make him a very popular choice. These Harley sons will be one of the most consistent sire groups on offer this year.

When I said these Harley sons are consistent, I wasn’t kidding. Noel very closely patterns his ¾ brother, Lot 4 - great growth and muscle expression, good footed, with nice Homo Polled skulls, not to mention the Carcass Weight EPD in the top 15% of the breed! This bull has a maternal brother working for Dimps Horn of Watch Lake, BC.

PINNACLE’S NOEL 31N

Another one of these good honest Harley sons. Long bodied, great muscle, and a great hair coat. Nero is one that is dear to my daughter Austyn, as he is out of her bottle baby cow, Holly. The money raised from Holly’s progeny are going directly to help Austyn and her post secondary education. We’ve always taught our kids the value of hard work and the hours she spent making sure this cow lived are now being rewarded! His full brother is working hard for Marvin Monical at Lac La Hache, BC.

If you are looking for a red heifer bull, this guy should be a the top of your list. He comes from one of our very favourite calving ease AI sires, BBAR Bentley, and with just a moderate 70lb BW, this bull sailed to the top of my favorite’s list. His 2 year old dam did a fantastic job raising this guy to meet all of our expectations, be sure to have a close look at Noble on sale day!

This Magic Mike son is a pen favorite of mine. He has the Limo muscle and character that you love, but is soft made and great footed. Mike unfortunately got injured early in the 2025 breeding season, which after producing a set of bulls like this one, is heartbreaking for us. These Mike sons are full of growth, performance, muscle, and eye appeal. Don’t miss the opportunity to get one of the last ones.

If long bodied, deep ribbed, big topped, and puppy dog quiet are on your check list, then this guy will tick ALLL the boxes. This homo polled Mike son was a contender for our 2025 show string and we think very highly of him. Already a pen favorite for some of the visitors who have toured the bulls this spring, he is sure to have many friends come sale day. Not to mention he has a maternal sister who has become a very beautiful momma for a local 4-H family!

MATERNAL GRANDDAM

MATERNAL GRANDSIRE

It’s not very often that you get a young cow that raises her twins so successfully that they BOTH make the bull sale. She raised over 1400lbs of calf on her own and bred back to calve this spring. If that doesn’t say hard working, fertility, and stayability, I don’t know what does! Get your hands on these genetics while you can!

Lucky for you there are two of them to choose from! Baby B is virtually identical to his brother Lot 10 and to prove the maternal strength in this cow, her first calf is my daughter’s 4-H female raising a heifer baby with an udder to rival any Angus cow. These twins are their own proof in the flesh, but also on paper with WW and YW EPD’s in the top 10% of the breed.

This Long Beach son was also in contention for our 2025 show string. Big hipped, soggy middled, super quiet and hairy! We love this cherry red bull and come sale day you will see why. This bull comes from a beautifully uddered Flatliner female and Pinnacle’s Long Beach on the top side. Long Beach sold in our 2024 sale, but we bred him to a few of our top cows before he went to work for Anna Frost of Vanderhoof, BC.

DAM SIRE
PATERNAL GRANDSIRE

Another one of these cherry red Long Beach sons out of a big bodied, beautiful brood cow. If you’re a sucker for the cherry ones like me, this guy will certainly catch your eye. The maternal strength in this bull shines through, not only in his numbers with a milk EPD in the top 15% of the breed, but with two brothers working for Randy Saugstad and Doug Schunter. Most recently his maternal sister was sold to Payne Livestock of Lloydminster, SK in the Night Shift Sale for $14000.

These Rush sons could be two of my favorite red bulls in the pen. Rush is an AI sire we have used extremely successfully, so much so, that we are using 2 Rush sons in our current Herdsire battery. This guy will have your Nickers in a bunch when you see how soft middled and great hipped he is. I also love the small homo polled skull on this bull, to me it says calving ease all day long! He also has a maternal brother working for Marvin Monical of Lac La Hache, BC.

Another great Rush son with huge maternal backing. This bull comes from one of our most consistently producing red cows at 9 years old who calves on time every year with a beautiful udder. What might be most Notable is his impressive set of numbers to back his growth and maternal strength with WW, YW, and MILK EPD’s in the top 1/3 of the breed. His maternal brothers are working for John Gilbert and Marvin Monical, and maternal sisters are working in our herd.

Night Rider is a super cool fella. Long bodied, deep sided, with great neck extension that gives him a ton of style and eye appeal. He was born twin to a heifer, but fortunately he got all the good genes! John Wayne is a new AI sire we are using and are really happy with how his progeny are turning out. This homo polled bull will certainly grab your attention sale day.

If you are impressed by the Harley sons, but wanted one in red package then here you go! Genetics are a funny deal and sometimes black + black = red. Luckily in this case it also equals dang good! This bull has tons of muscle expression and is big ribbed and big topped. His dam is one of our leading black cows with sons working for Ken Allison and Michael Matvieshan.

Heifer bull alert! If no nonsense heifer bull is on your list then this guy should be on it. Just a moderate 80lb BW out of a two year old cow who went on to wean him at 704lbs at 205 days. He is small skulled, smooth shouldered, and long bodied, all the makings of a calving ease master.

Huge hipped bull here with tons of muscle and dimension. This Hector son is unique individual with a ton of style and eye appeal. He has a bit of scur on his skull, but don’t be worried, I assure you it is not horns. This bull is backed by an impressive set of grow and carcass numbers, some in the top 3% of the breed. He has a maternal brother working for Marvin Monical and a maternal sister working for Tyler Skeels of Rimbey, AB.

You may have Ninety Nine problems but calving trouble won’t be one with this guy in charge. Just a moderate 88Lb BW coupled with his smooth shoulder and long sided carcass are the makings for a sleep easy herdsire. His 10 year old dam has been one of our most consistent producers holding her condition, foot structure, udder structure, and calving on time every year. If you want one to keep daughters out of this guy would be high on my list as his dam currently has 3 daughters in production for us and Payne Livestock. He also has a maternal brother working for Michael Matvieshan in Kelowna, BC.

Every year there is an extra special one in the pen and this year it was Narcotic. He has been a standout since birth and one who turned Nate Marin’s head in early June saying “that’s a good one right there.” Narc is explosive in all directions with his muscle, dimension, and bone structure. But despite his performance he’s still beautifully fronted and small skulled. He was a member of our 2025 show string and was awarded a banner at each show he attended. Narcotic is going to have a lot of friends come sale day and you will soon see why we are so addicted.

Really nice SOS Jackpot son here out of a young cow who really did Nail It. He has great muscle and hip shape, is big topped, in a moderate framed package. He is also clean skulled and smooth through his front end making him a very attractive option.

DAM Here is one of the biggest performing bulls in the pen this year. If you are looking for one to produce a pen of tan calves that will smash the scale down next fall, this guy is your man. His sire, Halftime, is a new AI sire out the Payne Livestock pen that we are using with great success. He has a maternal brother working for Keegan & Ryan Mack.

Nas X has been a crowd favorite since our open house back in September with many attendees commenting on how nice he was. He as grown into a great herdsire prospect with lots of hip shape and dimension and a great set of feet and legs. Don’t be bothered by his scur buttons, he is double polled.

MATERNAL GRANDDAM

The steer jocks would call this guy “freaky fronted” or “cobra necked” – translation – he is extremely clean fronted and extended through his front end with a nice double polled small skull. Birthweight doesn’t tell the whole story, this bull is nice and smooth through his shoulder and long bodied making him made for calving ease! His dam is a heavy milking beautifully uddered cow who has been a very productive addition to our herd. He has a maternal brother working for TF Cattle Company.

This embryo bull is probably one of the stoutest made, deepest bodied Char bulls we’ve raised. Negotiator is moderate in frame, but makes up for it in body and muscle shape. His sire is one that needs no introduction in the Char world and one that is quickly making his mark on the breed. We were lucky to get our hands on a few straws of Historic semen to flush one of our donor cows and this guy and his flushmate sister were the result. If a pound making tank is your kind, then this guy is it!

DAM

Niagara is following in his sire’s footsteps when it comes to being built for calving ease. This bull is moderate in frame but very smooth made and finer in his make up. His 13 year old dam is still very youthful, has kept her condition, foot quality, and udder quality while continuing to breed on time each year. Niagara has a maternal brother working for Diamond Island Cattle of Quesnel, BC.

New to the Continental Connection is this offering of a two year old Charolais bull. He is just a young April herdsire prospect, but has grown into himself and developed quite nicely. His dam is an up and coming star in our herd shortening her calving interval from April to January in two years. Fertility is in this guy’s genes!

We don’t have many bulls in our two year old offering this year, but these guys are raised with longevity in mind. Never pushed, raised on grass last summer, and developed for the long game. This long bodied Harley son will service your cows with stamina and confidence!

The only Magic Mike son available in a black package, so if you’ve been impressed with his sire group, but wanted a black one, this guy is it! This homo polled herdsire prospect has a maternal brother working for Moffat Ranch of Quesnel, BC.

MATERNAL SIB

Mainstreet was a lifesaver for us this last breeding season when he had to pinch hit for his sire after Magic Mike was injured on the job. This bull stepped up to the challenge and settled the whole breeding group without any misses! This is a bull we think highly of in person and on paper. He has growth and carcass EPD’s in the top 25% of the breed and with calves already on the ground we are even more impressed! Take a close look at this pro come sale day.

Packages of Select OPEN HEIFERS

We had the opportunity early in 2025 to sell some females to some up and coming breeders, so we didn’t have as large a pool of heifer calves to choose from as we normally do. However, we kept this pen of beauties specially to offer at the bull sale as we thought they made a very nice consistent package. They are from sires we think highly of and from cows that are still producing today. These heifers are purebred and papered, but will sell as commercial females. Papers can be transferred if the buyer wishes.

PACKAGE OF 3 RED PUREBRED LIMOUSIN FEMALES

These three Iceman daughters are from one of the most consistent pen of Char heifers we’ve produced to date. We didn’t ship any Char females last fall and when we chose this group we could literally almost close our eyes and point and we couldn’t go wrong. Iceman has worked so flawlessly in our program that selling is daughters is our only choice to keep using him, so please enjoy this group as much as we do. These females are purebred and papered.
