2003 年、当時一緒にトロンボーンを演奏していた仲間からの依頼で作曲した小品 です。
「楽聖」ベートーヴェンの名曲 5 曲から旋律やモティーフを借用し、緩やかな行 進曲風に構成しています。後半にはモーツァルト（2 曲）やハイドン（1 曲）も姿 を見せ、曲名の「謝肉祭」のごとく賑やかにクライマックスを迎えます。

Performance time: approx. 2’50”
This short piece was composed in 2003 at the request of friends who were playing the trombone with me at the time. It borrows melodies and motifs from five famous pieces by Beethoven, the ‘saint of music,’ and is composed in a gentle march style. In the latter half, Mozart (two pieces) and Haydn (one piece) also make an appearance, and the piece reaches a lively climax, just like the title ‘Carnival’ suggests.
