Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) Examples of annual events GCCM organises various events in the marina all year long, contact reception to know what is going on while you are in the marina or shipyard. For example: End-of-Year Party To thank our loyal clients, we welcome all who are with us on Thursday, December 7th to join us for our End of Year Party on the Superyacht Basin. Come for a bite to eat, a drink, and some entertainment. Thursday 7 December 2023 from 4pm. Christmas/New Year Closing GCCM will be closed from December 23 to January 1st included. Our Dry store will still be open for our customers to enjoy the Broadwater during the Christmas Holidays! Clean-up Australia Day Let’s clean our backyard! Like last year, GCCM will lead the way to clean up Jumpinipin and make a great day out on the water. All clients are welcome to join. More information closer to the date. Sunday 3 March. Australian Superyacht Rendezvous Australia’s leading event for Superyacht enthusiasts and will showcase the magnificent cruising grounds along with world-class marine re-fit and repair services. Nature/Walking/Hiking Federation Walk Coastal Reserve This coastal reserve gives you two full-length walks to explore the coastline with established paths if you only want a mini walk. Trek over the dunes, see native vegetation and feel one with nature. If you have binoculars, take them wildlife is abundant in the area. federationwalk.org/ The Spit to Burleigh Head Point-to-point is 17.2km. This walk will take in the majority of the Gold Coast's glorious coastline. Depending on the time of year, you might even spot a whale or two. During your walk, you will come across plenty of cafes, galleries, and boutiques that will give you a bit of respite. If you have a fat bike or a bigger tyre mountain bike this route will also be perfect. Bally Mountain Bally Mountain is in Bonogin. The conservation area is 483 hectares filled with an array of Australian wildlife and native flora. This 6-km return trek is a challenge. It will take around 4 hours to complete. Once you hit the summit, you will see panoramic views of the ocean, Springbrook and Wollumbin – the views will take your breath away. Don’t forget to take plenty of water. Hinze Dam The heart of the Gold Coast drinking water supply. Take a walk around the dam because, this vast amount of water, greenery and simple beauty will make memories. Once you finish the walk, there are several places to stop for a picnic, go mountain biking or just find a quiet spot and bird watch. Dogs are welcome on a leash.

It caters to all boat enthusiasts, from motor boats to sailing yachts, from fishermen to superyacht captains. Aquatic cruising destinations Wave Break Island Main Beach QLD 4217 Wave Break Island is a man-made island which is designated to protect the western foreshore of the Broadwater. The island is popular amongst boaties and kayakers and due to favourable conditions is a great day trip getaway.
Tipplers Labelled and known as Tipplers is a popular local destination for South Stradbroke Island. Enjoy a couple of sundowners at the restaurant overlooking the beach.
Jumpin Pin. Norttheast tip of the island of South Stradbroke Island is a great spot to swim and fish. Either beach your runabout or drop the pick in this bay and enjoy everything about the beach.
North Stradbroke Island A 25 minute boat ride to the island. On the island there are a range of activities, bushwalks, swim, fish, surf, visit the township for cafes and restaurants, camping. Whale season is from September to November.
