AUSTRALIA’S FAVOURITE PLAYGROUND What’s the best time of year to visit the Gold Coast The Gold Coast is a great place to visit year-round. Even in winter, the days are warmer. Spring (Sept - Nov) and Summer (Dec - Feb) is the time of year the Gold Coast shines with warmer temperatures. Watch the Broadwater come alive with holiday makers and locals on the water, swimming, boating, surfing - you name it. With the occasional thunderstorm on a hot Summer evening - get ready for a show. Winter (Jun-Aug) and Autumn (Mar - May), though the nights are cooler, the days are typically still warm and there are plenty of outdoor activities still in action. Visit the website “Destination Gold Coast“ to see what is on during your visit, there is always something happening on the Gold Coast. What are the best things to do on the Gold Coast? The Gold Coast coastline is over 70km and has the best beaches, soft sand, warm water, famous surf destinations and plenty of water activities such as swimming, paddleboarding, boating, fishing, snorkling, scuba diving, sailing, foiling, wind surfing - just to name a few. The Gold Coast is also know for its theme parks, Dreamworld, Sea World, Movie World, but if you want to get into nature and remove yourself from the hustle and bustle, it doesnt take long to find a national park to hike through, or find a camping spot to sleep under the stars on a warm summer night. All year round there are events, such as the Ground Water Music festival and the V8 Supercars. To see what is on, visit https://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Things-to-do/Gold-Coast-Events-Calendar. For more on restaurants, markets or destinations to visit - ask for our local guide at reception.
