PRESIDENT’S NOTE Dan Bouet
To Our AZPCA Members,
Our events are bustling this time of year, with plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the road with your Porsche and some friends not to mention the perfect weather for some top-down driving if you are fortunate enough to have that variety.
The club has a full calendar ahead, with our annual “New Members’ Day” event being held on March 14 at Culinary Dropout in Tempe. This is a fun opportunity to learn a little bit about the club through some brief presentations, meet the people behind the efforts, and give new members a chance to introduce themselves. We will also be providing complimentary raffle tickets for various MSR credits toward your preferred AZPCA activity, along with a grand prize eligible for any program. It’s our way of saying “Thank you” to our members.
If you are considering some higher-speed exercising of your Porsche, there are just a couple more opportunities before the summer break. We’ll be hosting a weekend track event at Inde Motorsports Ranch on March 28–29, and our last Autocross will be April 4 at Phoenix Raceway. The summer heat is simply too brutal to host those kinds of events during that time, so sign up for one- or both. Otherwise, October is when we’ll see the return of our performance driving events.
Enjoy the weather and your AZPCA friends, and I hope to see you at a future event!
Dan Bouet
From the EDITORS Gregg and Ali Bull
It’s not just the cars, it’s the people! And our club has witnessed a very exciting event combining one of Porsche’s most classic models and a very lucky AZPCA member who was fortunate enough to win this fabulous vehicle! Thanks to everyone who helped to keep the surprise and make that event extra special. A big thank you to National for such an amazing raffle!
As the desert blooms our region is officially kicking off a busy 2026 schedule. March isn't just about driving it’s about reconnecting.
We have a fantastic lineup this month, starting with The All-Porsche Grand Display which is happening today (March 1st) The Ladies have a drive to Boyce Thompson. We are also welcoming new members this month at the New Members’ Day event. We also have a drive and overnighter planned to Old Tucson so that should be fun. This month’s PnP is at The Breakfast Joynt and we have a special tour at the CAF which will give our members a rare glimpse of a lovely B-17 Bomber and more. Not to be left out, HPDE is having a weekend event at INDE, a crowd pleaser.
We encourage everyone to review the upcoming Driver’s Education (DE) and Autocross schedules in this newsletter so you don’t miss out on any of the upcoming events. Let’s make this season safe, exciting, and rewarding.
In this issue, you’ll find our calendar full of amazing upcoming events as well as a review of our first Arizona Region Tech Session.
Let’s make sure we show up in force, celebrate the camaraderie of this club, and remind ourselves why we love these machines. It’s not just the cars; it’s the people!
Cheers, Gregg & Ali

NEWS from within the AZPCA community
The Big Reveal…
On January 8th, our Region President, Dan Bouet, received an email from Vu Nguyen, PCA National Executive Director, stating that one of our members won one of the 911 raffle prizes.
The AZPCA husband-and-wife, Eric and Shaelyn Dobrzynski, membership as winners in the Porsche Club of America National Member-Only Raffle. Selected at random from a nationwide pool of more than 170,000 PCA members eligible to participate, this AZPCA couple captured one of the national grand prizes an extraordinary achievement and a proud moment for our region. The PCA raffle is open to members across the country, with thousands of entries submitted for the opportunity to win a brand-new Porsche 911 paired with a $35,000 cash award. One of our own AZPCA members was selected, making this a rare and celebratory occasion worthy of recognition!
Dan shared this confidential information with our Board of Directors.
Dan and Michael Mansour, our Social Chair, begun planning the reveal for our PCA raffle winner
Michael spoke with our winning members, Eric and Shaelyn Dobrzynski. They are a wonderful, high-energy couple who have really enjoyed their interactions with AZPCA and are excited to participate in more club events. They currently do not have any events planned where a reveal could naturally take place, so we developed a plan to bring them together in person without raising suspicion.
The approach was to introduce a "New Member” feature article for the February newsletter issue of Going Places. Eric and Shaelyn were told they were randomly selected as the first featured new members and invited to participate in an in-person interview. They were enthusiastic and agreed immediately. As part of the interview setup, we suggested meeting at a Porsche dealership of their choice, noting that AZPCA has strong relationships with local dealers and access to conference space.
They selected Porsche North Scottsdale (PNS). Michael went to PNS in person and met with GM Brad Levine and his team to explain the raffle win and our goal of hosting the reveal at their facility. PNS was extremely supportive and offered their space, requesting only that we hold the reveal closer to opening time rather than near closing, to ensure adequate bandwidth from their team.
The reveal happened on Sunday, January 25th . Michael and Angela Manente, Assistant Editor, met Eric and Shaelyn at PNS for casual conversation and then moved to the conference room, overlooking the service area. Angela conducted a staged “Meet a Member” interview for Going Places feature. Michael took a few pictures and excused himself so he could orchestrate the arrival of the Board and Chair members and work with the dealership staff to set up reveal surprise. Once everything was in place, Michael came back up to the conference room just as Angela was also wrapping up the interview.
Fun Fact from the interview: Eric built his Jeep during COVID and they enjoy off roading. That’s how they fell in love with the Southwest! Learn more about the Dobrzynski’s in “Meet a Member.”
NEWS from within the AZPCA community
The plan went off without a hitch. Eric was overcome when they were informed, they won a new Porsche 911 GTS! Michael did an exceptional job coordinating this special event for our region and making sure it was a total surprise
Special thank you to Porsche North Scottsdale for hosting, Haydn Howe, Sales Manager and Richard Strahota, representing PCA National.

Meet this Month’s Featured Members’ - Eric & Shaelyn
1. When did you join PCA?
We joined in 2025
2. What Porsche(s) do you have?
We have a 2012 991.1 Cabriolet, our first Porsche was a 2001 996.
3. Where are you from?
We grew up in the Detroit Michigan area, spent a few years in Southern Utah and relocated to Scottsdale a year ago. We first dated in 2002 and officially together since 2003. We got married in 2012. We were on a hiking trip to Zion National Park. We’re sitting drinking coffee in the morning, watching the sunrise, and Shay goes, “I think we should move here.” We fell in love with the southwest after taking a cross-country trip. Thirty days later, I bought a house.
4. Family?
Our immediate families are back in Michigan (parents, brother and sister).
5. Work background or trade?
Eric is a Personal Financial Planner for a non-profit out of Washington, D.C. Shaelyn has been a veterinarian for over 13 years. She practices at Daisy Mountain Veterinary Hospital in Anthem.
6. What makes your car special?
It’s a Porsche! I’ve also like convertibles, so it’s always been one of those passions. I love the open-air feel and the drive ability of it is just fun. The uniqueness of it, like the blue interior.
7. Have you attended any region events since becoming members?
We attended the New Members’ Day event in 2025 Porsches n’ Pancakes at Anthem Country Club. Planning to sign up for Fountain Hills Concours.
8. Have you personalized your car?
We replaced the black top with a blue top and painted the calipers blue. Also new headlights.
9. Favorite memory with a car?
Over COVID we built a Jeep and we trailered it out and did a two-week road trip in September 2021. It inadvertently, made us fall in love with the Southwest. All the mountains and the climates we went through in Utah and Colorado. God was looking out for us on that trip! We pulled into Utah after off roading in Colorado, arrived in Utah and pulled into the hole in the rock, the famous one in Moab (Arches). We get out there and the Jeep is out of the trailer (a flatbed trailer). There wasn’t a single strap strapping the Jeep to the trailer. They all fell off and the Jeep didn’t even move! We had come down a giant hill, twists and turns and it had stayed on the trailer. And luckily, we were there because a guy who was hauling a car, walked up and told us our straps weren’t strapped. And so…Oh, my God I can’t believe that Jeep didn’t go into the back of the truck. This was quite an adventurous road trip to say the least.
Meet this Month’s Featured Members’ - Eric & Shaelyn
10. Where/Why did you buy your Porsche?
Always wanted a Porsche. It happened because we were shopping for a new car for Shea, like SUVs, and ended up at a Subaru dealership. They had a 996 for sale and she was like why not! So, we bought a new Subaru and the 2001 Cabriolet.
I don’t look at cars as cars. People buy cars to buy cars. It’s like I buy a Jeep because I get to do jeep things and be with Jeep people and then get into the community. We have close friends now that I would have never met if I didn’t buy a Jeep. And then the same thing with the Porsche community. I didn’t buy a Porsche just to say I bought a Porsche. I’d be like, I’m going to join PCA and join the local car group.
11. High school nickname?
Eric’s was Dobs Shaelyn’s nickname is Shay
12. Top 3 cars you would own?
1. NEW 2026 Porsche 992.2 Carrera
2. Porsche Spyder RS
3. Lamborghini
4. Aston Martin Valkyrie

AZPCA Member Survey Results Reflect Satisfaction with the Club
Words and Photos by Mike Ferring
Last summer the club surveyed us members to find out what we like and what AZPCA could do better, and the results were very positive—so positive that we had to comb through pages of your comments to shake loose ideas for what the club could improve.
Each of the major activities banged the rev limiter for satisfaction and each of the communications—website, Going Places, email, and social—scored highly as well.
Rated on a scale of 1-5, all of AZPCA’s regular activities score well, with the High-Performance Driver’s Education nearly hitting a perfect 5. Monthly meetings scored the lowest with 3.8. Going Places, Web, and Email blasts hit 4.3-4.4 and Social Media 3.8.
Don’t Change a Thing.
Based on those satisfaction scores, AZPCA would be justified to sit back, pat itself on the back, and keep doing what it’s doing. Thank you very much. But we decided to dig deeper and see what we could do to
make you even happier.
The survey asked a number of open-ended questions that opened some opportunities. Our survey committee plucked out 15 ideas that respondents had offered or had indicated were problems to be solved. We presented those to the Board of Directors and then the Board asked the committee to boil them down to the most important.
Broad Suggestions
Broadly speaking, here are the items that floated to the top.
• Members live throughout the Phoenix Metro, but events seem to cluster around Scottsdale. Social events and tours should try to show up in other sections of this large region.
• The most popular tours or events fill up quickly, leaving out some members. What can we do to serve those members? Could we duplicate the popular events so more people can take part?
• Balance weekday and weekend drives. Some members can’t take weekday time for tours.
You can see a theme building there: Try to be more inclusive.
The HPDE program was the highest rated of the club activities.
The driving tours are one of the top reasons members choose to be part of the Arizona Region of the Porsche Club of America.
Continued.....AZPCA Member Survey results
Specific Suggestions
• Include a speaker or program in the dinner meetings. All four of us on the committee thought it was important to try to go beyond social gatherings.
• Schedule regular tech sessions. This has already started happening and they’ve been quickly soldout.
And then there was a smattering of other, less urgent or important ideas.
• Link drives to Saturday Cars & Coffee meetups.
• If possible, format Going Places for easier screen reading.
• Consider letting people follow a tour route at their own pace rather than in a caravan. (Steve dissented, saying he didn’t think this was a true tour.)
• Consider a gimmick rally.
• Make sure there’s an onramp for activities for new members.
Former IndyCar driver Arie Luyendyk drew an overflow audience to an AZPCA dinner last fall. Can we make this kind of program a regular part of the monthly meetings?

Review - Arizona Region Tech Session
n Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Arizona Region held a Tech Session at one of the Region’s sponsors, and Arizona’s premier auto service for exotic and European vehicles, Aces Elite in Mesa. Thirty-three members attended the event for a very educational presentation by the founder and industry veteran, Jim Huard. Jim’s presentation was focused on Porsche-specific collision repair and insurance matters.
Jim has extensive experience in collision repair, performance tuning, and OEM-grade calibration for exotic and European vehicles. Jim presentation consisted of the following topics:
Immediate Accident Protocol
In the event of a collision, the presenters stressed the importance of documenting the scene thoroughly with photographs of all angles, license plates, road conditions, and the vehicle VIN. It is critical to notify law enforcement immediately, but owners were advised not to admit fault at the scene, as insurers determine liability based on documented evidence. Furthermore, Jim Huard recommended that owners insist on their own choice of transport rather than settling for the
Review - Arizona Region Tech Session
rotation tow company called by the police, ensuring the vehicle is moved to a Porsche-certified specialist.
Insurance and Parts Requirements
A significant portion of the discussion focused on insurance policy nuances. To avoid financial loss, owners should seek Agreed Value or Stated Value policies rather than standard fair-market value coverage. It is also essential to ensure a policy includes an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts endorsement. While some insurance carriers often include OEM coverage automatically, other insurers may use aftermarket or used parts unless an endorsement is present. This is particularly vital given that Porsche-approved repairs require specific painting methods with only four approved paint lines globally and strict adherence to factory-standard calibrations.
Advanced Repair Technology
Modern Porsches, especially those manufactured from 2024 onward, utilize complex unibody structures and over 15 onboard computers. Aces Elite demonstrated that repairs now require high-tech equipment, including nitrogen plastic welders for bumpers and pulsed MIG or TIG welding for aluminum components. Because any component removal can trigger Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), a certified repair must include a full suite of scan reports, structural repair printouts, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) recalibrations to ensure the vehicle meets factory safety standards.
The Arizona Region has plans for more Tech Sessions with a variety of subject matters throughout the year. The future Tech Session event dates will be published in the Going Places Newsletter Calendar of Events and the Region’s Website Calendar.
Aaron LaBeau is a relatively new member to the Arizona Region Porsche Club of America, since May, 2025, and drives a 2023 Cayman 718. The Tech Session was his first event attended and has signed up for the Porsche with a Purpose Concours event in Fountain Hills.

Autocross is the sport of trying to navigate your car through a defined course of pylons usually on a large parking lot, faster than your competition.
Autocross courses are set up using soft orange traffic pylon cones (which will not damage your car) and events are run at speeds usually between 40 -65 MPH, usually all in 2nd gear. Autocross is a “performance driving event” and a safe way to learn how to drive your car at its limits. You not only learn how to handle your car at speeds that you drive daily, but you also: Gain confidence in your driving ability. Learn the limits of your car’s brakes. Learn correct seating, hand, and feet positions. Learn the limits of your car’s tire adhesion. Most importantly, autocross is a social gathering of friends with a common interest and is simply a ton of fun!
Your family is welcome and there are usually plenty of people to socialize with.
Be prepared for big fun.
HPDE - DRIVING YOUR PORSCHE ON THE TRACK
Expand your car control skills and explore the capabilities of your Porsche on a racetrack in a safe, controlled environment with no speed limits! AZPCA’s HPDE & TT program (that’s short for High Performance Driver Education and Time Trials) is all about experiencing your Porsche on a road circuit. AZPCA provides personal driving instructors for new participants to guide them through the day. Our instructors will navigate you along the road circuit, teach you the fundamentals of driving at track speeds, but also keep you in a comfort zone so you have a good time. There are flaggers on track, just like at a real racing event. The club also arranges an ambulance and tow truck on site for emergencies.
For the HPDE events, four groups of approximately 10-25 drivers are formed based on experience levelBeginner, Intermediate, Experienced, Advanced. Grouping allows everyone attending to have a good time. Beginners don’t have to stress about having little/no experience- chances are, there are several other drivers in the same group just starting out.
Based on instructor evaluation, you are advanced to the next group up when appropriate. Sometimes this is after one day, or sometimes it takes a several events. Higher run groups typically mean more speed but with a better, practiced skill set to control the speed safely. This keeps track days exciting for you as you advance your skill set.
While this is definitely NOT racing, there is a natural tendency to evaluate yourself to other drivers in your group, but HPDE is not structured to award “fast” times. To satisfy the competitive nature in you, we offer options for all levels of expertise.

IMPORTANT AZPCA Information
AZPCA Region Event Cancelation Policies & Event Organizer Responsibilities
Event Cancellation Policy
Most of our events have attendance limits, and they fill up quickly. Also, we often have waiting lists for those wishing to attend but do not have a secured attendance spot. Increasingly, attendees sign up and simply do not show up for the event without canceling in advance. This behavior impacts the event registrar/organizer, the event facility, and those on the waiting list wanting to attend but cannot. This behavior demonstrates a lack of common courtesy, requiring it to be addressed proactively. On the first occurrence a warning will be issued, and on the second occurrence privileges to attend future events may be impacted. Also, any registration fees for paid events will be forfeited without recourse since the club is charged regardless. The cancelation policy requires cancelation of your registration on MSR for paid or unpaid events a minimum of 7 days prior to the event date, unless there are serious and extenuating emergency circumstances as assessed by the event registrar/organizer. Most importantly, please be courteous to your fellow members so that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy events.
Event Organizer Responsibilities
Event organizers are required to send out a reminder approximately 9 days in advance of any event reminding registrants of the event and summarizing their responsibilities by including the following language:
Thank you for your RSVP. Please note that whether or not there is a registration fee for this event, the restaurant is expecting a certain number of attendees we provide to them in advance and incur cost accordingly If you need to cancel please do so at least one week prior to the event date (being a no-show without notice is rude to other members who wish to attend, the restaurant and to the event organizer). Additionally, if there is a fee or prepayment associated with the event, it will be forfeited if cancelled less than 7 days before the event. Thank you!”
Additionally, event organizers are requested to send out a reminder two or three days prior to the event simply as a courtesy to remind those attending.
IMPORTANT AZPCA Information
Reimbursement & Stipend Policy for AZPCA HPDE Events:
1. Reimbursement is provided to 5 key workers / volunteers for actual round-trip fuel cost (upon providing receipts), and if applicable, $120/night stipend for lodging/ incidentals. If it is not an overnight event and/or a requirement, then spend is reduced to $40. Key workers are volunteers that are attending the event solely to work the event but not participate in the event. Examples could be: Grid worker(s), Safety inspector(s), Timing and Scoring Chair, Safety Chair, Event Chair, CDI. Excludes: Corner workers/flaggers.
2. A corner worker/flagger is offered a $100 stipend or a $175 MSR credit for a future HPDE event, by choice of the flagger.
3. Other non-critical volunteer positions are provided a lunch (lunch will either paid for individually or provided as part of event to all participants).
4. The Event Organizer is reimbursed for fuel costs related to event planning/execution and round-trip fuel cost (upon providing receipts and log).
5. Continue to offer discounted registration fees for approved AZPCA Instructors.
Policy adopted by majority vote of the Board of Directors at the June 2023 BOD meeting
Danielle’s Column - Late Night or Bust
STORY BY DANIELLE BADLER
Here’s an answer to a problem you probably never thought of. What? Stay with me. What to do about the potential demise of late-night TV talk shows.
Why, you ask? Well, I happen to like a drole monologue, some wacko news clips, a little “schtick.” I find it works wonders to clear my brain and settle into never-never land. Most nights, I can hardly get past “Meanwhile,” which is just fine with me.
But the fabled time slot, the ghost of Paar and Carson and Leno, is being racked and ravaged. Colbert is canceled. Kimmel went dark, came back and … who knows what’s next.
Well, here’s a proposition for the producers. An outline for a complete rethink. It’s a proposal. A treatment. A look at how the late-night concept could recapture its glory. Here’s the idea; go vertical, on a rotating basis, based on broad -based themes.
Like cars, theater, film, sports, fashion … for the whole show. Oh sure, they could still touch on the day’s headlines, in the traditional monologue. But the whole warmed-over guest at the desk thing, and the featured musical act, would be totally rethought, along the lines of the theme for the evening.
I’m focusing first on Kimmel. The plan would be to move the show from LA to Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world. And … where … Jimmy’s … from! I know, right? And, to kick off the reboot, they would launch the concept around the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Can you see Max, and Lewis, and Lando, and Oscar on the couch? Yucking it up with Jimmy?
I can hear the dialog now. “Who actually drinks the most champagne on the podium?” “Do any of you guys ever exceed the posted limit, when you’re not racing?” “By how much?” “Who actually brakes the latest, and does this comport with any other performance abilities?“ “What kind of life insurance do you carry?”
One idea would be to resurrect the goofy driving course that Leno had, when he did that ill-fated one-hour pre-late news show. Remember that fling, and that track? It looked like a pre-teen obstacle course for go-karts with governors. They even had balloons marking the turn-in points.
This time around, Guillermo would hop into the latest vehicle of choice, supplied by an advertiser … like … wait for it … Cadillac! Think about it - with their F1 car making its debut this year, what better way for GM to show its mettle I bet Mary Barra would be
Danielle’s Column - Late Night or Bust
willing to drive it on-stage. And then, if Guillermo can see out of the car, without a booster seat, he’d set the time to beat.
And, you guessed it, for the following show, Audi would be the featured advertiser, and F1 car. Followed by Ferrari. And Aston Martin.
Now, if this isn’t a compelling reason for Porsche, and BMW, to enter the fray, what is? First the Kimmel show, next the world.
You want audience participation? How about “guess the horsepower at idle of a ’26 F1 car?” “What’s the downforce at 200 mph?“ “In the wet?” “How do you find reverse?”
“Does every F1 ‘pilot’ (said with a French accent) fly their own private plane?” “When you’re watching an F1 race on TV, what do you say, when your family asks you to change the channel?” “At a pit stop, would you rather be a tire-changer, a lug-nut wrencher or the guy who lifts up the front of the car with that metal contraption?”
For winning, the audience member would get to BE the child seat for Guillermo –Guillermo would sit on the winner’s lap, so he can actually see out of the race car.
And, think about this, they could highlight the next season of “Drive to Survive!” I’m sure Netflix would swoon at the opportunity. Invite on a producer, who brings with him clips from the new season. You know the routine, he sets it up, sits back and … we watch snippets of the production
It’s brilliant. Because then, we don’t need to sit through each episode of the whole series, the incessant team orders to “push, push,” the rivalries, the wins, the losses … all from last season. Because we already know the outcome – it’s from last season! We just get the best parts.
And what happens to the live studio band? Replaced by audio clips, of a V-8 engine, a V10, a V-12, revving up to redline. Earphones would be optional.
Oh, I’m in. For this show, I might even stay up, beyond the monologue. Hey, late night, let’s do it.

The Stuttgart Market Letter
Written by David K. Whitlock
January wasted absolutely no time humbling me. In my year-end recap for 2025, I predicted that unit volume would pull back modestly, noting that early January had produced the lowest number of Porsches for sale across the three major online auction platforms that I could remember seeing. That observation held true for about a week. Then the floodgates opened. January 2026 went on to become the biggest January on record since I began tracking the market, posting a 73% sell-through rate on 605 cars for a staggering $72,122,544 in total dollar volume. For context, January of last year closed at a 69% sell-through rate, $41,125,442 in sales, and 561 units. Much of this outsized dollar figure can be traced back to a number of heavy hitters crossing the block at Mecum’s Kissimmee sale, paired with strong action out of Arizona and online, setting an unexpectedly aggressive tone for the year ahead.
Leading the charge in January was the 918 Spyder, with five examples crossing the block and three finding new homes. The headline sale was a 2015 918 Spyder showing just 845 miles, finished in Paint-to-Sample Pure Orange and optioned with the Weissach Package, along with Color-to-Sample Pure Orange interior piping in place of the more common Acid Green. While it was described as a one-of-one color, there are in fact a handful of other Pure Orange cars known. Even so, the combination of low mileage and eye-catching spec proved irresistible, resulting in a new auction record at $6,050,000. The other two cars to sell did so strongly as well, hammering at $3,575,000 and $3,205,000. The two remaining examples failed to meet reserve, both stalling just short of the $3m mark.
Not to be outdone, January also delivered a new auction record for the Carrera GT. This one came as a bit of a surprise, as it was not the lowest-mileage example we have seen, showing just over 2,000 miles, nor was it a particularly exotic specification, finished in Seal Grey Metallic over Dark Grey leather. Even so, it became the first Carrera GT to cross the $3m mark at auction, selling for $3,085,000. Staying with the Porsche supercar theme, we also saw a strong result for a 959 Komfort, which sold at $2,535,000. Showing just 1,000 miles and modified by Canepa with their Phase II specification, this example featured a claimed 640 horsepower along with Canepa’s suspension upgrades. That result landed squarely between the roughly $2m we typically see for standard 959s and the $3m territory occupied by full 959 SCs Reimagined by Canepa.
Another one of my predictions for 2026 was that Boxster and Cayman values would begin to level off for standard variants, while the special cars would start to separate themselves. So far, that thesis is holding up well. January delivered the first 718 Spyder RS to cross the $200k mark since May of last year, with a 1,700-mile example selling for $214,000. Finished in Paint-toSample Gulf Blue and well optioned with the Weissach Package, Magnesium wheels, and PCCB brakes, this result suggests buyers are once again willing to pay up for the right spec. Digging further back into the Boxster catalog, we also saw a new auction record for a 987 Boxster Limited Edition. Showing just 3,000 miles, it sold for $53,666, a figure that even eclipses recent

Boxster S Limited Edition results. Rounding things out was a Boxster RS 60 Spyder with 22,000 miles that brought $48,000, topping recent mileage comps and reinforcing the strength of the special-edition Boxster market.
993 Turbos carried their late-2025 momentum straight into January, highlighted by a 37,000mile 1997 example that hammered at $395,000. Finished in Black over Black, the car was lightly modified with Bilstein PSS9 dampers and RS adjustable sway bars, changes that appeared to be well received rather than penalized. Condition was strong, service history was well documented, and factory options such as Sport Seats and carbon-fiber interior trim helped round out the package. At $395,000, the result topped recent mileage comps that have largely lived in the $340–350,000 range.
Looking ahead, the calendar doesn’t offer much time to catch our breath. RM Sotheby’s Miami sale lands at the end of February, followed closely by the Amelia Island auctions in March, both of which are poised to bring another wave of high-quality cars to market. After an opening month that already rewrote the January record books and validated more than a few early predictions, 2026 is shaping up to be a strong year. If January is any indication, bidders remain engaged, selective, and willing to pay up when the right cars appear.

Sign up for PCA’s free monthly e-newsletter, Mart Fresh News!
The Porsche Club of America features news, videos, and information about the current market for used Porsches in the monthly Mart Fresh News email newsletter.
Mart shoppers are PCA members who know Porsches, know what they’re looking at, and are serious, ready, willing, and able buyers — not tire kickers. Because PCA members take care of their Porsches, vehicle quality in The Mart is better than other websites. And these are not anonymous buyers and sellers, they are registered PCA members.
The Mart is one of the most visited parts of PCA.org, recording over 650,000 page views per month.
Mart Fresh News also highlights a variety of Porsche listings from PCA’s Mart Classifieds. When you find a vehicle in The Mart, you can be assured that it’s been cared for by a registered PCA member — not some anonymous seller.
In addition to your online Mart ad, you get a summary version of your ad in Porsche Panorama.
It’s a free benefit of membership — there is no charge to place an ad in The Mart!

PCA has 20 registries for those super enthusiastic about their Porsche model
The PCA Registry program was established in 1995 to encourage closer relationships within Porsche model owners in PCA. The program allows PCA members to network with others in their specific area of interest. Sharing of information fosters restoration and maintenance of members’ automobiles. A registry can potentially provide a new resource for historical displays at Parades and other PCA events, along with information for articles in Porsche Panorama. Don’t see a registry for your Porsche? We are also looking for individuals who are interested in starting a registry for a model that doesn’t have an existing registry.

The 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder was a special version of the 997 Turbo S offered exclusively to customers who had ordered a Porsche 918 Spyder, giving them a companion car while waiting for their hypercar’s delivery. Although mechanically identical to the standard Turbo S, it stood out with distinctive Acid Green accents on the badging, brake calipers, and door mirrors, a theme carried into the interior with matching stitching, instrument dials, illuminated sill plates, and PCM screen highlights. Each car also carried a dashboard plaque bearing the same number as its owner’s 918 Spyder. Available in both Coupe and Cabriolet form, Porsche originally planned to build 918 examples, but only around 146 customers opted for the package, making it one of the rarer special editions of the 997 generation.
This 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet Edition 918 Spyder is a Canadian-market example showing just 13k kilometers (~8k miles). Finished in Silver, it features the signature Acid Green accents unique to the Edition 918 Spyder, including badging and trim details. Modifications include an aftermarket SharkWerks center muffler bypass and a set of HRE 19″ center-lock wheels, which add a more aggressive appearance and soundtrack. With low mileage and subtle upgrades, it remains a rare and desirable counterpart to the 918 Spyder itself.
With only 146 examples produced, comps for the 918 Spyder Turbo S are tough to come by. The last one to hit the auction block was a 4,000-mile example that sold for $140,000 back in February 2024. Before that, a handful of cars traded between $130,000 and $180,000 over the years, with that $180,000 sale being a 260-mile Black example back in 2017. With all that in mind, I didn’t see this coming our Spotlight car sold for an impressive $230,000.
