Ownership Drives Excellence: Baird’s Enduring Impact in Owensboro BY STAFF WRITER

Owensboro, KY — In an industry often driven by profits, Baird Private Wealth Management distinguishes itself through a people-first philosophy rooted in employee ownership. As a 100% employee-owned financial services firm, Baird fosters a culture of pride, purpose, and accountability—values that resonate deeply in Owensboro, where the firm’s legacy spans more than 80 years. Originally serving the region as Hilliard Lyons, the Owensboro office joined Baird in 2019. Today, it remains a cornerstone of financial guidance, managing $2.4 billion in assets for over 4,000 households. With a team of 30 dedicated associates, Baird Owensboro continues to thrive on trust, integrity, and personalized service. “At Baird, we’re not just employees— we’re owners,” said Associate Branch Manager of Baird Owensboro, Shannon

Raines. “That means we’re invested in our clients’ success, and in each other.” This ownership model empowers associates to think long-term, not just quarterly. It’s a philosophy that has earned Baird both national and local recognition, including 21 consecutive years on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For® list and the Greater Owensboro Chamber Business of the Year (11-50 employees). “As an employee-owned firm, we have the freedom to decide for ourselves how to grow our firm. And we believe the surest path to achieving success is ensuring our clients are well cared for,” said Erik Dahlberg, President of Private Wealth Management at Baird. Beyond financial services, Baird invests in the Owensboro community through mentorship, internships, and volunteerism. The firm’s internship program draws national interest, while

local initiatives like Baird Gives Back Week and Baird Cares reflect a strong commitment to service. With over $430 billion in client assets and 160 offices nationwide, Baird blends global strength with local dedication. In Owensboro, that means building lasting relationships, empowering futures, and giving back to the community that has supported their business for generations. At Baird, ownership isn’t just a business model—it’s a differentiator.
