Throughout it’s nearly 115 years, deep-seated values of relationships, trust, people and performance have remained at the heart of the company. German American Bank is dedicated to helping the people and communities they serve to thrive. As a community bank, relationships always come first. The local Owensboro team proudly supports many causes that create opportunities for greater prosperity and quality of life, especially youth organizations and our schools. Through impactful relationships with Girls Inc., Leadership Wesleyan, and Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club, the German American Bank team has the opportunity to contribute to a brighter future for young people in our community. The School Spirit Card program is an exciting initiative that gives customers a unique opportunity to support their local schools. The School Spirit Check Card is free to customers with a German American Bank checking account. Every time the card is used to make a purchase, German American Bank makes a donation to your participating school of choice. Over $3,200 has already been given back to the six participating Daviess County Schools in 2024 and that number continues to grow. To get your School Spirit Check card, simply stop by any German American Bank office and request your Apollo Eagles, Daviess County Panthers, Owensboro Red Devils, Trinity High School Raiders, Owensboro Community & Technical College, or Kentucky Wesleyan College check card!
