There’s Nothing Like the Real Thing Want New York pizza in Las Vegas? Look no further than this outpost of the Southern California favorite How many times have you heard—when not on the East Coast—that a pizza spot is cooking up real New York-style slices? And then you bite into a thick crust with unbalanced flavors topping a pie that could not be less New Yorkstyle in any way, shape or form? As a once-East Coast resident, specifically New York and New Jersey, I’ve often eaten the real deal New York slices, and I’d be hard-pressed to find an equal here in Las Vegas—until I ate one at Richie Palmer’s Mulberry Street Pizzeria of Beverly Hills. “We wanted to do New York pizza on the West Coast. Not New York-style but New York pizza. Very authentic,” said Darren Tripicchio, general manager of Richie Palmer’s Mulberry Street Pizzeria of Beverly Hills. His family, specifically his uncle Richie, opened the first shop in Beverly Hills in 1991, and today they have four spots in L.A. The first Las Vegas location opened along with Resorts World Las Vegas in 2021. Many of the recipes come from Tripicchio’s grandmother’s kitchen—the sauce, the ziti, the salad dressings. “We’re real New Yorkers coming in and bringing our pizza,” he said. “… Our focus on that balance with the sauce, the cheese, the dough—that old-school New York Bronx pizza, that’s what it’s based on. (It’s) a very thin crust and crispy. And it’s all about the balance and the ratio

between the dough, the sauce and the cheese. It’s an art. The balance of the three is what makes a pizza excellent.” Besides two of the most-popular pies, the cheese and the pepperoni, Tripicchio is pushing the envelope with unique creations that were supposed to be on the menu for a limited time, but became so popular they’ve become mainstays: the bulgogi pizza is a Korean barbecue-style pizza with bulgogi beef in a made-in-house marinade, onions, scallions and homemade spicy mayo; and the carne asada pizza with carne asada steak, pico de gallo, cilantro, salsa verde sauce and a made-in-house cilantro aioli drizzle. “Please come visit us and you’ll see—a lot of people tell us we’re the best,” Tripicchio said. “We never abandon quality; it’s always going to be top-notch.” Insider tip: Don’t skip out on ordering the frozen margaritas. They partnered with good friend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his Teremana Tequila brand to create two frozen margaritas that have become best-sellers. So Many Choices
This Strip food hall offers some of your favorite classics— from tacos and sliders to chicken—in one convenient spot If you’re looking for some of the best eats in Vegas while keeping the price affordable and the timing quick, check out Miracle Eats Food Court. This pretty, all-in-one stopping place features a variety of restaurants gathered inside a courtyard with vines, ferns and flower pendant lighting hanging from wood beams, while wooden planter walls separate the area outside. Inside, you’ll find a variety of favorites not only from Vegas, but other areas, too. If you’re in the mood for Mexican food, I can’t recommend Tacotarian highly enough. This home-grown Vegas favorite serves up a variety of Mexican treats, from carne asada and barbacoa to a taco and birria platter. The birria is sublime (and everything served is vegan). The founders of Tacotarian took pains to replicate the flavors you’d find if you traveled to Mexico City, and the quality here is obvious. You can even get a michelada. Another big name here is Carnegie Pizza, which serves up a variety of slices, garlic knots, marinara for dipping and more, replicating in both flavor and looks the Carnegie Pizza made famous in New York. The white

pizza has to be my favorite, but the pepperoni has plenty of fans. Irv’s Burgers serves up luscious all-American classics with a loving backstory that dates to the 1940s along Route 66 in California. Get fries, chili dogs, shakes and even veggie burgers here. Go a little decadent with Lobster ME’s “Maine Dishes.” With traditional lobster rolls, lobstersicles, lobster mac and cheese and lobster grilled cheese, you are sure to satisfy that lobster craving without a long wait at a fancy restaurant. For more casual fare, Dave’s Hot Chicken serves up sliders, mini-sliders, tenders and bites in seven spice levels, plus sides like mac and cheese and shakes. Chipotle features bowls and burritos customized to your liking. Accompany your meal with a drink from Fat Tuesday—these frozen beverages come in plenty of flavors and are fun to take along with you. Be on the lookout for SoulBelly BBQ to open soon as well. This is a massive favorite in Las Vegas’ Arts District from James Beard-nominated chef Bruce Kalman. –Nina King

This Location Cannot Be Beat Restaurant and bar sits right across from Allegiant Stadium
When there’s a football game or concert at Allegiant Stadium, a great alternative to paying those high parking prices is WSKY Stadium, a restaurant and bar conveniently located near the venue that offers plenty of parking at reduced prices. But even when there isn’t an event at Allegiant, there are plenty of reasons to make WSKY Stadium a part of your visit. For starters, it offers an extensive beer list featuring more than 20 taps (with great labels like Able Baker, Belching Beaver and Moose Drool), as well as plen-

ty of bottles and cans of your favorites. It’s also got a killer cocktail list, highlighted by the Frey Fog, a smooth, silky twist on an Old-Fashioned finished off with a fog of smoke. The food here is the perfect accompaniment to that drink, with sandwiches like the Italian Grinder, a beast that features salami, ham and spicy capicola topped with smoked provolone, lettuce, onion, banana peppers and garlic vinegar aioli, and the T&T smash burger, a twist on the classic burger with two smashed patties,
white American cheese, caramelized onions, shredded lettuce, tomato and giardiniera aioli. Steak, pizza and many more dishes will satisfy any other cravings. Food for Thought
The plant-based creations at this Strip hot spot will make you see vegan cuisine in a completely different light If you’re thinking about that whole turn-over-a-new-leaf-for-the-newyear, and trying veganism is that leaf, then get happy! Crossroads Kitchen in Resorts World Las Vegas serves some of the most creative, innovative dishes you’ve seen anywhere, let alone in a vegan establishment. The restaurant serves Sunday brunch and dinner daily. For the buffet-style brunch, indulge in chicken and waffles, sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs, along with French toast. (Yes, it is all vegan, so fill your plate—I really love the bacon.) A pasta station creates a fresh dish for each person. When it comes to dinner, there are almost too many dishes to choose from, but there are a few signature ones to consider. The Impossible cigars are super meaty, with spicy almond milk yogurt for dipping (spicy diablo sauce and a little lemon complete the dish), while a cheese and pâté plate presents blue cheese, Boursin and even Camembert varieties to pair with mushroom pate. Two personal favorites are the fried calamari —tasty rings of chewy mushroom that emulate calamari very well—and stuffed squash blossoms, with almond ricotta inside and marinara for dipping.

The pasta course is so inventive, with such items as linguine scallops in white wine and garlic butter, lasagna Bolognese with Impossible meat, campfire potato gnocchi with a root vegetable velouté and burnt onion ash; and roasted celery root and chestnut tortellini. Dishes change seasonally, so get these if you can. The protein section of the menu isn’t going to disappoint, either. The eggplant filet really looks like steak, and the hearty nature of the vegetable satisfies that urge for meat. The grilled lion’s mane steak comes with truffle potatoes and a mushroom bordelaise. Get pizza options like pepperoni, truffle mushroom bianca or fig, and sides like roasted honeynut squash and fennel and Umbrian lentils and farro. Crossroads Kitchen also offers a nutfree menu to accommodate people with those sensitivities. And for dessert, how about a brownie sundae with coconut whip, fudge sauce and brandied cherries or sorbet? It sort of makes that going vegan thing seem easy, eh? –Nina King

And for fans of pizza, a must-visit destination is How Ya Dough’n, an outpost of the South Florida viral sensation. What sets How Ya Dough’n apart from so many other pizza parlors is its— you guessed it—dough, scratch-made New York-Neapolitan sourdough pies crafted with an 8- to 12-day wild yeast fermentation process. Bar combines video games with beer and cocktails Game a different way while in town! Take that $20 bill you were going to put in the next slot machine and head to Player 1 Video Game Bar instead—it’s a short drive off the Strip. For just $9, you can enter a world of gaming where betting money is not on the agenda. “We are a bar arcade that caters to adults, 21+, plus no smoking, no gaming other than video gaming,” says Jeffrey Benoit, owner of Player 1 Video Game Bar. Years ago, Benoit and friends were playing a heated game of Halo and drinking some beers in his living room. “And then the wives wanted us to find somewhere else to play,” he says, laughing. So, he and said friends opened their first bar arcade in Orlando in 2012, and in 2019 brought the concept to Las Vegas. “We also wanted to do a retro arcade-style video game bar in Las Vegas—I love Las Vegas,” Benoit says. He’s a longtime gamer and collector and brings that love to his bar. “We span the whole history of gaming from the 1970s to 2025,” he says. Once you pay the cover and step inside the bar, you’ll enter a gamer’s paradise with tons of arcade games and consoles available to play as much as you want—for free. Gaming consoles are set up throughout the space at various high-top tables and include PlayStation 5, Xbox and Xbox 360, Nintendo 64 and Sega Dreamcast; there are even lounge-

Just take a look around and see what you can find.” And what goes better with gaming than drinking?! “Beer and video games is just a natural mix,” Benoit says. “We focus a lot on craft beer and local breweries. We do a lot of seasonals. We
have 50 taps and we’re always changing them with seasonals, one-offs, stuff you can’t find everywhere. Our cooler has about 200 different styles of beer.” Player 1 also offers a robust menu of meads, from Viking-style meads to more mod-
ern versions that are sweet and fruity, plus soju and sake options. For those looking for a cocktail, Player 1 offers a menu of video game-inspired cocktails. The most-popular cocktail (and our personal fave!) is the Princess Peaches, made with orange spirits, grenadine and lime with peach ring candies. The Vice City is a mix of pineapple vodka, strawberry and coconut and is garnished with lines of powdered sugar. And the Potion of Mana is a cool sip made with orange spirits, blue Curaçao, lemon juice, sugar and soda water and comes with a potion bottle of glittery Mana for you to pour into your drink and change its color. “Player 1 is a nice break from gambling,” Benoit says. “It’s a nice stop to see the history of gaming. Massage therapist lead looks forward to the future Going into 2026, Marcina Moore says, “We can only go up from here!” The upward trajectory of her career as a massage therapist began in 2003 when she got certified in deep tissue and medical massage and, by the next year, opened her own business in Texas, which she ran successfully till 2017. That year, Moore decided to bring her skills to Las Vegas, joining Canyon Ranch Spa & Fitness at The Venetian Resort. Two years ago, she made the move to Serenity Spa & Salon at Westgate Las Vegas, where she is

currently the massage therapist lead. Not only does Moore perform deep tissue and sports massage, she supports the whole massage therapist team. “I guide them to be good examples,” she says. “It’s about warm greetings, protocols, taking care of guests, making sure they’re trained on new treatments. I make sure to set them up for success.” For Moore, being a massage therapist is a passion. “We’re very intuitive,” she says. “It comes by learning the skill, and through experience, you intuitively know
how to heal someone’s body.” What would she do if she wasn’t healing people? “I’d make sushi,” she says. “Sushi making seems complicated and I love a challenge. If not making sushi, I’d be a tour guide because I love to travel.” So, who knows, maybe next year, besides getting a massage from Moore, you’ll find she’s also making your sushi at a Strip restaurant or being your tour guide to the city. “2026 is conquering new things and taking on challenges,” she says. –Kiko Miyasato

Toca Madera brings deep flavors to the tip of your tongue By Nina King If you are in the mood for Mexican cuisine, then consider Toca Madera, a restaurant dripping with energy, where the vibrant Tulum-inspired decor is matched by the deep flavors of the food. Toca Madera is tucked off the main entrance of The Shops at Crystals near Aria, with an attractive tree-lined entrance drawing customers in. (There’s also an entrance inside the shopping complex.) That arboreal decor continues inside the restaurant, with trees and greenery in the bar and main dining area and dynamic artwork lining the walls. The ceiling is an artwork in itself with the beams curving and seeming to undulate overhead. The Mexican steakhouse/ fusion-style menu here features appetizers like guacamole with pepitas and

Bruno Mars closes out 2025 the way he started it: On top By Genevie Durano Want to close out the year on a high note? Before the calendar runs out, Bruno Mars is at Park MGM, turning the end of 2025 into a celebration. At this point, we locals claim Mars as a Vegas native. Since 2016, he’s performed over 100 shows at Dolby Live, building something that feels less like a residency and more like permanent residence. When he first started in 2013 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, everyone warned him against it. “Someone reached out and said, ‘Bruno, we want you to play a residency at the Cosmo,’ and everybody was telling me, ‘No! Don’t do it! This is where entertainers go to retire!’” Mars told the Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2024. “They were saying, ‘It’s too early in your career to be playing Vegas like that!’ But I fell in love with the city very early.” That love has paid off, and anyone who saw those early performances at the Cosmo (myself included) could see that Mars would become a Vegas mainstay. It’s the kind of move that sums up her entire career: always ahead of the curve, impossible to ignore. (Seriously, is there a more recognizable initial-plus-shortened-last-name celebrity?) She’s been in the pop culture consciousness for so long that entire generations can track their coming-of-age moments by whichever J.Lo iteration they were obsessing over. Dressed in black and white with details like bow ties and opera gloves, Lewis’ supporting crew makes the show feel so much more glamorous simply by being dressed for the occasion. Of course, the star of the show has her own breathtaking fashion moments, including some fantastically voluminous opera gloves and a shimmering gown that cascades down from the hanging moon prop from which Lewis sings “Fly Me to the Moon.” Soft serenades are just a fraction of the excitement this show has to offer.

Nothing fills the cold winter months with warm merriment quite like song and dance. There’s something magical about each seasonal spectacle that pops up, and Leona Lewis’ A Starry Night at Voltaire inside The Venetian Resort is no exception. This residency masterfully combines stunning visuals, jazz and Motown influences, and personal touches to create a Christmas crowd-pleaser like none other. The show opens with an adorable phone call from Coco, Lewis’ daughter, which really sets the show’s upbeat yet sentimental tone. Then Lewis uses her stunning voice to perform holiday classics like “Winter Wonderland” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.” Not only is the U.K. songstress a fabulous vocalist, but for this show she’s accompanied by a talented jazz band and backup singers. Something that becomes apparent in the first few acts of the show is just how beautiful the stage design is and how it complements the show itself.
