From the Editor So Fun It’s Scary
What’s your favorite thing about Halloween? Is it the free candy? Decorating your house to look like a haunted mansion? Watching all the scary movies you can stand? These are all perfectly good choices, but I’m guessing the majority of you would say it’s the costumes you get to wear. After all, is there anything more fun than pretending to be a large Twinkie or SpongeBob SquarePants? If you’re a big fan of costumes, you’re going to love this week’s Las Vegas Magazine cover feature: Cirque du Soleil’s “O” at Bellagio (“Water World,” p. 30), which arguably has the most amazing costumes of any Cirque show—which is to say, any show on the entire Las Vegas Strip. Editor at large Brock Radke takes you on a tour of this incredible production that has lost none of its allure or sense of mystery over the last 23 years. (It celebrated that anniversary this month.) Fans of Halloween will also definitely want to check out associate editor Kiko Miyasato’s collection of holiday-themed attractions, drink specials, menus and even shopping experiences (“Happy Halloween!” p. 13). Speaking of shopping, check out some of the Halloween-themed products you can buy at Golden Nugget (“No Tricks, Just Treats,” p. 18). We only ask one thing: Save us a Squishmallow!

Drink It In Even before you enter the Spiegeltent to experience the phenomenon that is Absinthe, you’re excited; how can you not have a sense of wonder upon seeing that huge tent right outside Caesars Palace? And the interior! The whole space is decorated to give it a

steampunk feel, and a small, circular stage at the center has you wondering, “What are they going to be able to fit in there?” As it turns out, plenty, from acrobats and dancers to jugglers and sensual singers, all highlighted by the extremely profane (and
very, VERY un-PC) Gazillionaire and the irresistible Green Fairy. It’s almost impossible to not be swept up in all this craziness and ribaldry. Make sure to grab a drink (or two) at the bar; an altered state only heightens the euphoria you’ll get from Absinthe. –Ken Miller

Authentic Charm Family-owned restaurant Ping Pang Pong is known in Las Vegas for philanthropy, beautiful décor and great food. The sheer number of items on this local favorite’s menu is truly dizzying, with signature dishes and specialties vying for equal attention. Order up classic apps like pork pot stickers, chicken lettuce cups and spring rolls to start, or try the grilled lamb chop to change things up. If you are in the mood for barbecue, the Cantonese BBQ items include a half roast duck, crispy pork belly and honey-glazed pork barbecue. There are chicken dishes like the Taiwanese-style three cup chicken, shrimpstuffed chicken and kung pao chicken, and seafood dishes such as San Pan prawns or Dragonwell shrimp (with green tea flavor). There are plenty of fried rice, noodle and clay pot options like the Night Market fried rice, starring sliced beef with Thai chilis, and anchovy and chicken fried rice. You’ll even find separate sections for lobster, red cod, eel and geoduck, with different preparations for each one. –Nina King

Take a Spin If you want the views, all the views, take a short trip on the High Roller observation wheel in The Linq Promenade. This gigantic attraction is like an enormous Ferris wheel, but with cars that can handle a large group—so there will be no chickening out with a “no room for me” attitude. The wheel fully rotates once every half hour, and hits 550 feet at its maximum height, but the trip around is really smooth,

and you may barely even realize that you’re moving. There are a number of different packages available, including a “Happy Half Hour,” where you can drink as you take a spin, with up to 10 guests allowed on the wheel. The magic is back in Las Vegas. And we’re not just talking about all the amazing things the Las Vegas Strip offers—we’re literally talking about magic. Our legendary illusionists are almost completely returned and packing in showrooms once again, and that includes the Westgate’s star headliner, Jen Kramer. What separates Kramer from the rest of the pack is the intimacy of her show—she eschews the larger theaters, packed with pyrotechnics and special effects, opting instead to really connect with her audiences. Hologram concert brings legend to life When Whitney Houston exploded onto the scene in the mid-’80s with “Saving All My Love For You,” her appeal was impossible to ignore. And for years, her string of hits guaranteed you’d hear her on the radio on a regular basis. But somewhere along the way, Houston made the leap from great voice and hitmaker to legendary superstar, a consequence of not only her career choices—including a truly untouchable version of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” for the movie she starred in, The Bodyguard—but her tumultuous lifestyle, including a very-public upand-down relationship with Bobby Brown. Nearly a decade after her untimely passing, Houston remains a beloved figure to millions who

treasure that transcendent voice (who else but Houston could reach the top 20 of the U.S. Top 100 with a rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner”?) And for the first time in North America, you can enjoy that voice in a production show at Harrah’s, An Evening With Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert. While Houston has been re-created thanks to state-ofthe-art special effects, this is a production show in every other traditional sense, with a live fourpiece band and backup dancers choreographed by Fatima Robinson. If you’ve ever seen the hologram technology in Las Vegas before (whether currently in Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay
Bay or in the past when Celine Dion’s Caesars Palace residency featured Elvis), you have some idea of the amazing evening you’re in for. You’ll swear Houston is actually on the stage, belting out classics like “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me),” “The Greatest Love of All” and a cover of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love.” The show is a partnership between Houston’s estate and BASE Hologram, and her former manager and estate president Pat Houston called the show “another chance for us to relive and celebrate the talent that we were so lucky to receive for more than three decades.” –Ken Miller Harrah’s, 702.777.2782 or ticketmaster.com

Downtown Elegance Odds are many of you have checked out Circa Resort & Casino by now, Derek Stevens’ latest project in Las Vegas. If you have, you know that he’s all about the complete experience, including great food. And it all started with Andiamo Steakhouse, Stevens’ world-class restaurant at his first property in Sin City, The D. You really feel like you’ve stepped back in time once you walk through Andiamo’s doors. This is a classic steakhouse in every sense, from the servers who prepare Caesar salads tableside (a highlight we really recommend) to the classic cocktails on the menu. There’s so much to enjoy here, especially for steak fans. Couples will want to consider the 32-ounce tomahawk, a ribeye that will turn every head in the place. Whatever you decide on, you get your choice of Bearnaise sauce or the restaurant’s signature “Zip” sauce. We recommend the latter, as there’s simply nothing else like it in town. There’s also lamb chops, veal osso buco and a Berkshire pork chop for meat lovers, as well as a vast pasta menu. Shrimp scampi here is a can’t-miss option. –Ken Miller The D, 702.388.2220
Let Off Some Steam
Hitting Home Of the four stand-up comedians who made up the original Blue Collar Comedy Tour (Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White), White has perhaps gone the farthest from catchphrases and Southern stereotypes. You won’t hear many references to “tater salad” in White’s current material, despite “They call me tater salad” being perhaps his most wellknown catchphrase. White still has his Southern twang and his unpretentious attitude, but his comedy

has become more wide-ranging as his success has afforded him opportunities beyond his humble roots. He’s still self-deprecating enough to be relatable, though, and his material about marriage hits home with a lot of his audience. Huzzah! Tournament of Kings starts with the majestic wizard Merlin coming out into the theater in the round and welcoming the audience to an evening where various countries gather to cheer on their kings as they compete in feats of strength and knighthood. Your seat assignment for the evening assigns you to a country—Russia, Ireland, Spain, Austria, France or Hungary—or the dragon knight. Banging your tankards, shouting for good and evil and joining in song and merriment is continuously encouraged. Guests feast on a multicourse dinner of roasted, seasoned Cornish game hen, lemon pepper roasted potatoes, corn on the cob, a dinner roll and an apple square pastry for dessert. The fun part is being able to eat everything with your hands, without those weird looks from your neighbor. But just as the beautiful maidens seduce with their dance and the kings continue their fantastic feats, darkness falls over the theater as the evil dragon knight descends into the arena. Feel Right at Home
Mirage steakhouse has that star chef allure Few restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip have a better location than Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak. Nestled in the heart of all the action at The Mirage, it’s also right next to the property’s gigantic atrium. But you quickly realize that Colicchio’s destination is a wonderful complement to the lush foliage and water features, with its dark, burnished wood décor and warm, welcoming atmosphere. You’ll see a lot of dishes that you recognize from other menus, but Colicchio has packed a flavorful twist into each one, from the French onion soup smothered with caramelized Gruyère to the jumbo lump crab cake served with watercress, apple and remoulade. Even the

salads make your tastebuds pop with surprise, especially the romaine Caesar with a soft-cooked farm egg and pickled white anchovy. Main courses will be familiar to any fan of a classic steakhouse, and all are worthy of consideration. You’ll be tempted (and rightly so!) to order the 16-ounce prime rib, served with au jus and Yorkshire pudding, as it’s easily one of the best things on the entire menu, but there’s something for every palate here: Seafood lovers can enjoy sea scallops, served with peas, mushrooms and pancetta, and king salmon, accompanied by summer squash, cherry tomatoes and cippolini onions. The 12-ounce Colorado lamb chops are amazing here, as are all the steak
selections, from a 10-ounce American wagyu skirt steak, flavored with a Tabasco rub, to the 48-ounce Mishima Farms ultra filet mignon, meant for multiple diners. Make sure to pair your meal with one of Colicchio’s great sides, from smoked peas and street corn to creamed spinach and decadent truffle risotto. Surely you’ve saved room for dessert? Well, even if you didn’t, you’ll still want to take something sweet to go, like the flourless chocolate cake topped with raspberry compote, the vanilla cheesecake with strawberry compote and vanilla bean whipped cream, or the luscious key lime pie with graham-cracker crust and blueberry compote. –Ken Miller

Since Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat’s opening in 1990, it’s not only served as a sanctuary for some very big cats (some of whom once performed in the Siegfried & Roy magic show) and sea creatures, but it also focuses on scientific research, education and conservation outreach. It’s the perfect place for parents to take their curious, animal-loving kids to learn about these beautiful animals and their habitats. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported to some distant jungle or African veldt, replete with abundant grassland, greenery, trees and waterfalls. Within the habitat, you’ll find lions, tigers and leopards lounging and grazing in the grass. Perhaps you’ll even see a tiger dip their paw into the waterfall. Majestic as these animals may be, they’re pretty lazy, and there’s not a lot of action. Yet, once you move along to the Dolphin Habitat area, you’ll see those incredible aquatic creatures swim and splash around in their pools. If you’re lucky, you might catch the trainers working with the dolphins, and you’ll witness the tricks and aerial feats that they’re capable of. –Las Vegas Magazine Staff
Endless Portions For all-you-can-eat goodness, the Brazilian steakhouse experience cannot be beat, and Galpao Gaucho is a great example. Choose from two all-you-can-eat options: A fully stocked salad bar or both the salad bar and 17 different cuts of meat. Everything is fresh and delicious—deviled eggs, salads, fresh fruit, soups, charcuterie, pastas and more will have you piling your plate high (although we don’t necessarily recommend that, given the meat odyssey you are about to embark on).
Everything here is authentic—the food is prepared according to cultural standards, and servers know all about the history of the cuisine. So feel free to ask as many questions as you want while enjoying cuts like ribeye, lamb chops, chicken, grilled salmon and more. Like a lot of people during the pandemic, Jean Pierre Francois used the downtime to learn a new skill—making, from scratch, his own limoncello, which he bottles and named GiamPietro. But, unlike a lot of people, Francois has dedicated his career to one celebrity chef, Bobby Flay. This month, Francois, a New York native, celebrates his 15th year with Caesars Palace and 25 years with the famed chef, currently serving as general manager of Flay’s new dining concept, Amalfi at Caesars Palace. Francois first hooked up with Flay back in 1995 when he started as a food runner at Mesa Grill in New York City. From there he managed the company’s store Mesa City, then ran Flay’s Bolo restaurant and eventually landed in Las Vegas, where he became general manager of Flay’s popular Mesa Grill in 2005, 11 months after it opened at Caesars Palace. Francois was with the restaurant until it closed its doors in 2019 to make way for Flay’s new dining
concept, Amalfi, which opened in early 2021. “Bobby’s culinary fantasy was to have an Italian seafood restaurant,” Francois says. Part of Francois’ job as general manager includes putting together the wine and beverage program, which is a huge inspiration for him, he says. He loves to help create new cocktail recipes and taste new wines. “Another favorite part of my job is opening the door every night and just having the guests come in and be wowed by this new expression of what Bobby is doing,” Francois says. “To be able to wake up every morning and be able to work with your friends—I don’t know what else I’d do. You have to have a passion for this. And an insane work ethic. And you have to be a little bit deranged to do what we do every day—just the frenetic energy of what a restaurant is. There’s a constant discovery—the food, the people you work with, the guests. And there’s a love that goes into it, too.” –Kiko Miyasato

Late-night experience has all the vintage Vegas feels It’s the type of entertainment that made Las Vegas, well, Vegas, baby. Reminiscent of a time when performers like the famed Rat Pack would show up late at night to various lounges around town and put on impromptu performances— sometimes joined onstage by other local and visiting singers, comedians, dancers. It was that type of entertainment when anything seemed possible—a night of fun, a little naughtiness, frolic and just darn good music. This is what Brian Newman: After Dark brings back to Las Vegas. The limited-engagement show—beginning at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 28-31—is the quintessential vintage Vegas night out on the town. Take a turn away from the typical nightclub and

bar experiences and put a little Vegas into your Vegas vacation. The show is held inside the über-cool Nomad Library, which after dinner service transforms into a kind of speakeasy. A small stage is on one side of the space, and roomy booths in the center serve as the VIP section because they line a small catwalk where the talent performs. On the outer perimeter of the room are cozy tables perfect for date night. A menu of small bites is available, and there’s also bottle service, a sizable menu of specialty cocktails and a full bar. Fans of Lady Gaga might be familiar with trumpeter and vocalist Newman. The longtime New York City performer has been the bandleader for her Lady Gaga: Jazz & Piano shows. And
a possible benefit for those attending the After Dark show is that Gaga has been known to drop by the show and perform (Gaga has performances at Park MGM Oct. 24, 28, 30 and 31). But other popular singers have stopped by as well, including Kelsea Ballerini, Ashanti and Robby Krieger. Besides the crackerjack band, other numbers in the show have included drag and burlesque performances. After Dark is all that Vegas once was when it comes to a late night of incredible music, witty banter, cool ambience and flowing drinks. But for a fabulous way to experience the restaurant, weekend brunch can’t be beat. The restaurant, which began the A Taste of Spago Brunch this summer, loosens up on Saturday and Sunday starting at 11:30 a.m., with a DJ providing beats and the Fountains of Bellagio offering a show beginning at noon. You can sit inside or on the patio, with the best fountain views outside (of course), but tables alongside the floor-to-ceiling windows offer great views as well, as the plumes of water will fill your angle of view. If there are football fans in your group, several screens in the dining room will let them keep tabs on the game. The brunch menu keeps it casual as well, offering classic breakfast and lunch dishes, plus several varieties of Puck’s celebrated pizzas. I recommend starting with a mimosa (available in a mix-and-match bottomless format), avocado toast and a pastry basket; although each seems so simple, they deliver huge amounts of flavor. Even the butter is special, cultured and sourced from a Vermont farm for spreading on house-made bread. The toast is built on that bread, with copious amounts of avocado, herbs, thinly sliced radish and chilis. If you are in the mood for caprese, nibbling on the brunch version with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and basil is a beautiful thing. Seafood lovers can indulge in bigeye tuna tartare,

ften described as surreal and ethereal, Cirque du Soleil’s landmark production “O” at Bellagio is more than the Montreal-based entertainment giant’s most successful show around the world. It’s one of the most technically advanced theatrical presentations anywhere, arguably equally iconic in Las Vegas to the wondrous dancing fountains that front the hotel and casino at the heart of the Strip. The water is perhaps the most celebrated element of “O,” the 1.5-million-gallon pool that serves as the diffuse foundation of one of the Strip’s all-time greatest venues. No matter how many times one has visited this theater inspired by a 14th-century European operahouse, the way that water is used so masterfully to convey the idea of infinity and other otherworldly themes continues to astound. It’s been 23 years since “O” arrived at Bellagio, and Las Vegas has never been the same. Without a doubt, it is recognized as one of the most influential pieces of entertainment in the city that built a reputation for doing just that. But one of the show’s defining characteristics, and something that could never be duplicated on another stage, is the sheer number of visual scenes that float across this aquatic stage during the performance. The original creators of “O,” including writer and director Franco Dragone and director of creation Gilles Ste-Croix, first envisioned an avant-garde piece where the entire physical appearance would change every few minutes. That ambitious endeavor evolved into the current production that moves swiftly through unbelievable, dreamlike scenery while showcasing the unique athletic artistry of its international cast.

Once the curtain rises and the stage is revealed, the introductory scene makes dramatic and immediate use of the beautiful proscenium as red-coated characters fly across the space and a trapeze duo act sets the tone. An island arises in the middle of this magical body of water and an impressive hand-balancing act performs on seemingly stable ground, a physical connection that gradually builds the scale of the show. Just when it seems things have taken a serious turn, it’s time to bring out the clowns, resting on the roof of their floating home. “O” is constantly, effortlessly balancing between scenes of smile-inducing whimsy and emotional, high-tension moments. Different styles of dance are represented, as are unique, age-old circus performances, all powered by a full live band and vocalists injecting unlimited energy into the theater from their two studio rooms perched above both ends of the stage. Be careful with how long you allow these amazing musicians to attract your attention, because at any moment a skeletal ghost ship might appear above the water for its acrobatic voyage. Of course, everyone has their favorite acts and scenes from “O”: perhaps the joyous celebration when the acrobats emerge to play on the powerful Russian swing; or the near finale when a trapeze artist descends from above balancing on her head; or the inside-joke, blinkand-you’ll-miss-it moment when the show’s underwater scuba crew quickly surfaces like a squadron of beached seals. There are times to laugh and cheer and times to sit quietly, stunned at the artistry and befuddled at the creativity behind this masterpiece. And then there is the desire to come back and see it all over again.

south bed, foxes sail through a koi pond. On all sides you’ll find mushrooms, acorns, dragonflies, squirrels, hedgehogs and more, all created with a botanical bent. The fall display is open 24 hours, but only runs through Nov. 13. So if you are waiting to go until your return trip, don’t. Go now!

Sammy Hager brings residency and new cocktails to the Strip

The Red Rocker has been spending a lot of time in Las Vegas lately. Sammy Hagar has always bounced onto the Strip for a quick rock concert and to check up on his Cabo Wabo Cantina location at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort, but he’s committing to a bigger party in the desert with his new Sammy Hagar and Friends residency show at The STRAT. The former Van Halen frontman is bringing his all-star band known as The Circle to create a nonstop musical party (with plenty of surprise special guests in the works), and the first of three weekend runs begins Oct. 29-30. Hagar says he’d like to be back in Vegas on a regular basis in 2022, too.
You recently launched the Sammy’s Beach Bar Sparkling Rum Cocktails right here in Las Vegas. Why did you decide to do that? I really got into this business because I think I can do a better job, the same reason I got into tequila and the same reason I got into rum. It’s the first sparkling rum cocktail, so I’m in front right now. In 1988, I started making Cabo Wabo Tequila, one of the first pure agave tequilas, and I’m proud of that, but it cracks me up when I read something that says George Clooney or somebody started (celebrity tequila brands). It’s like,

oh really? But to spring into this (canned cocktail) category, I knew I’d have to make a lot of noise, and Vegas is the place for that. The STRAT 702.380.7777
Have you ever considered moving to Vegas? I’ve considered it, but everywhere I live, I’ve got an ocean. I just can’t stand not having a big piece of water I can walk on every day. It’s kind of like my therapy. There’s something about the ocean that allows me to grow old gracefully, to stay healthy and in shape, and to be rejuvenated. Was the downtime a creative period for you? COVID was such a negative, disturbing and confusing time, I could not write a song. I practiced a lot, played a lot of music around the house and came up with ideas, like this new cocktail idea, and I had a lot of time to work on it. But I said yes to a lot of things and came up with a lot of things I wanted to do when the world did open back up. I didn’t want to go back to the same old grind. And as soon as I went out and started doing shows again, I’ve been writing songs like crazy. Your residency at The STRAT is one of those projects. What are these shows going to be like? Nobody is going to hear the same thing twice. One night we’re going to come out and play Van Halen for an hour, then start cherry picking. Another night, we might just play Montrose, which will be fun because that’s only about 35 minutes of music. I want to do it with a different theme every night and really mix it up. You’ve already said how you’re really going to transform The STRAT Theater into a Cabo-style beach party, which is something different for a Vegas show. The team at The STRAT has been awesome and they’ve really allowed us to come in and do what we want to do. That room is great and I looked at every room that was available in Las Vegas. My fans, the Redheads, they come from all over the world, and you want them to be in a place like Vegas where they can have a good time before and after the show. The experience in Vegas is like no other town. If you can’t find something to do here, you’re either broke or in a really bad mood.

THE LAS VEGAS STRIP’S LONGESTRUNNING SHOW, Legends in Concert, continues to prove why it’s one of the mustsee shows in town: It’s always evolving, rotating its lineup of celebrity impersonators so that you are practically guaranteed to never see the same show twice. Over the years that I’ve seen Legends, the list of entertainers is almost too great to remember. Just off the top of my head: Celine Dion, Steven Tyler, Barry White, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Madonna, Prince, Lady Gaga, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Jon Bon Jovi, Bob Marley and Bruno Mars have been brought to sparkling life on the Legends stage, always backed by incredible bands that helped replicate the signature sounds that give you goosebumps. And in 2019, the show got even better, thanks to the inclusion of a host to tie all the acts together: Frank Marino, himself one of the longest-performing entertainers on the Strip, who not only provides a hilarious monologue to open each show, but changes his wardrobe between each act, so expect plenty of outrageous get-ups. If you never got a chance to see Marino in his successful drag shows An Evening at La Cage or Divas Las Vegas, now’s your chance to see the talents that made him a Vegas legend in his own right. And for a limited time, Legends has adopted a theme: “Direct From London,” in which all the tribute acts impersonate U.K. performers. Not only are the visuals sweet, you’ll hear gondoliers serenading you during the ride down the man-made canals throughout the Grand Canal Shoppes, making the ride just that much more interesting. It’s been named one of the most romantic things to do in Vegas, and we’re sure your sweetheart will agree. Ah, mi amore.
Light it up! In downtown Las Vegas, Fremont Street Experience features the behemoth overhead attraction known as Viva Vision. The light and music show was upgraded earlier this year, and now features 16.4 million pixels. Numerous videos, with music by artists from Imagine Dragons to Linkin Park, play up to eight times a night, and now during the day, on what is the largest video screen in the world. Visitors can also head to SlotZilla to try out the zipline that swooshes people from one end to the other, either sitting, or superhero-style. Height, weight and age restrictions apply.
Bellagio is home to some of the Strip’s finest restaurants, but one we find ourselves revisiting time and time again is Harvest by Roy Ellamar. The focus here on sustainable ingredients is admirable, but Ellamar backs up his strong environmental stances with some seriously delicious food. Just wait until you dig into appetizers like pork belly lettuce wraps or main courses like a half-chicken brined in local ale and hay smoked. Best of all? You can do all this and feel very, very good about yourself!

It was understandable that the food community got seriously amped about International Smoke, a collaboration between Michael Mina and Ayesha Curry. But the hype was well-deserved. This salute to fire—the origin of all cooking—just keeps the hits coming, from Mama Mina’s falafel (you’ll never want another) to smoke St. Louis cut pork ribs, the creativity here is just off the charts. And the Lilikoi Mai Tai, served in a Spam can, is already one of our favorite cocktails.
Take your Mexican food experience up a notch—or two—at Javier’s at Aria. In addition to a collection of high-end tequilas, Javier’s boasts a huge menu, using only sustainable seafood and the highest grade of Prime Angus beef.

For one of the best combinations of food and incomparable views, try a meal at Lago by Julian Serrano. While looking at the Fountains of Bellagio through floor-to-ceiling windows, enjoy Serrano’s novel take on Italian food: small plates. This gives you the ability to try more without filling up quickly. Osso buco, potato gnocchi, tomato braised beef meatballs, bass-ricotta stuffed ravioli ... you can have it all.
Anxious to get back to shopping after sheltering in place? Head straight to Miracle Mile Shops, a 1.2-mile-long enclosed mall with more than 160 stores and restaurants. Head to MAC Cosmetics or Sephora for beauty products, and H&M, French Connection, Guess or Desigual for the latest fashions. Or grab a bite at Buffalo Wild Wings, Cabo Wabo Cantina, Lobster ME, Nacho Daddy or PBR Rock Bar & Grill.
Nachos at an Irish pub? Yup! The unique combination of potato chips, cheese sauce, chives and corned beef make Nine Fine Irishmen at New York-New York a hot spot for Irish-themed cuisine. The bar and patio are great places to enjoy a pint of Guinness, too.
Who doesn’t love Hershey’s Kisses? At Hershey’s Chocolate World at New York-New York, you can find all sorts of different flavors of one of the world’s most beloved candies, along with many other Hershey’s products. Spanning 13,000 square feet, the store features a Statue of Liberty made of almost 800 pounds of Hershey’s chocolate (sorry, you cannot eat it!), as well as 800 Hershey’s chocolates and candies. What was originally supposed to be just a pop-up restaurant at Red Rock Resort quickly became so popular that it’s now a permanent installation. And one bite at Marc Vetri’s Osteria Fiorella. will tell you why: It’s all about good, satisfying comfort food here, as well as a whole lot of personality. F1 drivers of the future can test their skill levels at Pole Position Raceway, an indoor facility where souped-up electric karts powered by 18 horsepower motors reach speeds of up to 45 mph. As long as you’re at least 48 inches tall, prepare for some serious competition—after getting the hang of the physics in your first race, you’ll be aching to get back out on the course, trying to shave tenths of a second off your previous time. Las Vegas for some time: Omega Mart by Meow Wolf, an otherworldly experience with personality to spare. At first glance, it appears to be just a grocery store like any other, with brightly lit shelves popping with colorful products to stoke your impulse to buy, buy, buy.
But you quickly realize the theme here: Look closer. As you scan the various cans, boxes, packages and bags, you see that things are not quite what they seem—and that the humorous, askew personality of Meow Wolf is absolutely everywhere. For
