It’s a bittersweet week in Las Vegas. Despite a great start to their season, our brand-spanking-new Las Vegas Raiders failed to make the NFL post-season. Still, it’s been an exciting playoff slate, with enough surprises and upsets to keep oddsmakers on their toes. And this year’s Super Bowl promises to be one of the most exciting in recent memory. We hope you’ve scheduled a trip to Las Vegas for Super Bowl week; we’ve got plenty of great places to enjoy the game. I’ve rounded up a list for this week’s issue of Las Vegas Magazine (“Game Time!” p. 26), and hopefully it will come in handy when planning your Super Bowl Sunday. That’s the whole purpose of our magazine—to provide you with the best possible information to maximize your enjoyment here, regardless of how long (or how short) that may be. And this week’s issue is a doozy, everything from restaurants and entertainment to attractions and shopping. This issue truly has something for everyone. You loved him on America’s Got Talent, and while Piff the Magic Dragon’s show was shuttered last March (along with every other single production show), he stayed active in entertaining people on social media. And now he’s back at Flamingo. Check out our profile of one of the hard-
est-working magicians on the Las Vegas Strip (“Fire-Breathing Fun,” p. 22). It’s one show you don’t want to miss. Did you know that Las Vegas has a thriving craft beer industry? And a big part of it can be found downtown. Freelancer Bob Barnes has put together a nice road map of all the breweries you can find in downtown’s Arts District (“The Art of Beer,” p. 20). We don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say our beer scene stacks up with any other city in the country. But don’t take our word for it: Tap into the scene! Are you a fan of Las Vegas history? Managing editor Nina King has assembled a look back on one of the Strip’s iconic properties, The STRAT, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year (“A Towering Year,” p. 24). We’ve also rounded up some great restaurants: Edge Steakhouse at Westgate Las Vegas (“A Dining Gem,” p. 7); Delmonico Steakhouse at The Palazzo (“Big, Easy and Delicious,” p. 10); and Bazaar Meat by José Andrés at Sahara Las Vegas (“Out of the Fire,” p. 12). A Dining Gem An unexpected treasure is tucked down restaurant row at Westgate Las Vegas. The unassuming entrance to Edge Steakhouse leads into a beautifully decorated bar and lounge area—worth a stay for a cocktail with the bartenders—and through that space is an upscale, decadently designed dining room.
Starters here are a carnivore’s dream. Try the roasted bone marrow with a piquant onion jam or the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef tartare served with Kaluga caviar, black truffle and a wedge of beef-fat toast. Edge dry-ages all the steaks in-house for 40 days and adds pink Himalayan sea salt blocks to the meat
cases, which helps the aging process and permeates the cuts, helping to enhance the natural flavors. The domestic wagyu New York cut, top sirloin and filet mignon are standout picks. End with a dessert favorite, the Tahitian vanilla crème brûlee with berries. –Kiko Miyasato

So Much Goodness A vegetarian heading to a burger joint seems a little counterintuitive, but Shake Shack is the exception. On the menu is the oh-my-goodness-this-is-so-goood Shroom Burger, a portobello mushroom covered in a crisp-fried breading and stuffed with gooey, melty Muenster and cheddar cheeses and served on like-butter gluten-free buns. For carnivores, Shake Shack combines that burger with a cheeseburger for a towering taste experience, all topped with lettuce, tomato and the secret ShackSauce. Meat here is 100 percent, all-natural Angus beef, freshly ground, and made up of a proprietary Shackblend. But it’s not all burgers at this burger spot—the crispy chicken sandwich, topped with a buttermilk herb mayo, and flat-top dogs like the Shack-cago Dog, served with relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt and mustard, always delight. The hot spot, with views that overlook the Strip and adjacent Park, also gets big kudos for its handspun, made-inhouse-daily ice cream, frozen custards and concrete desserts. Playing in the Yard Even in pandemic times, the Strip is still a little overwhelming. Lucky for you, there are plenty of places along the boulevard to hang out and relax. And among the best spots is Beer Park by Budweiser, a rooftop bar that feels similar to an awesome backyard party, replete with picnic tables and artificial turf. Restaurant offers all the flavors of New Orleans I visited New Orleans for a wedding, and my main takeaway from the trip was this: New Orleans has some great food! I can’t remember a trip where I looked forward to my next meal more. One of New Orleans’ most venerable dining institutions is Delmonico Restaurant and Bar, a symbol of excellence for more than a century. And while it hasn’t been open quite that long, Emeril Lagasse’s Las Vegas outpost of that classic will put you in a New Orleans state of mind from start to finish. Delmonico Steakhouse is a stunner, from its décor to its attentive waitstaff to its overwhelming spirits collection. No matter your palate, you’ll find the perfect cocktail here. The menu is sectioned into “Distinct,” “Refreshing” and

“Spirited,” making your selection that much easier. A fan of Moscow Mules? Delmonico offers a “Pick Your Mule” program, offering the classic with vodka, bourbon, gin or rum. Or you could just ask to see the bourbon menu, mind-boggling in its size! This is a classic steakhouse experience, so you’re likely to dive straight into standards like the seafood tower, but you might also want to check out Emeril highlights like the apple-cured Kurobuta bone-in bacon, served with pickled watermelon rind and an Abita root beer glaze, or Creole boiled gulf shrimp cocktail, served with a tomato horseradish dipping sauce. Steak lovers, you have arrived! From the 20-ounce Prime bone-in ribeye to the filet
mignon, everything cut is either dry-aged or wetaged to perfection. You’ll taste the maximum amount of flavor in every bite. Main course excellence continues with Chilean sea bass, accompanied by salt-boiled fingerling potatoes, saffron broth, marinated olives and a petite green fennel salad, and the herb-marinated chicken breast, perfectly paired with roasted Parmesan potatoes, wild arugula and a herb emulsion. Out of the Fire Inside the beautifully renovated Sahara Las Vegas you’ll find one of the best restaurants in all of Vegas, Bazaar Meat by José Andrés. The interior is gorgeous. Bazaar Meat is essentially a steakhouse, but with some of the most innovative “classics” you’ll find. It’s an exciting menu, from appetizers to entrées—known for foie gras cotton candy mini cones, liquid olives and gazpacho shots. Beef carpaccio is a classic, and you can get that here with sirloin, Savora mustard and rolls. But you’ll also find the beefsteak tomato tartare, a dish that is vegan, but looks like a tartare—it’s incredibly flavorful, too. Go for salmon tartare or the Jamón Ibérico de Bellota. The ham has wowed fans for years, and amazingly really tastes of acorn. Get oysters or king crab from the raw bar, or a “Not Your Everyday Caprese” salad, where the heirloom tomatoes and basil pesto are accompanied by liquid mozzarella. And the fire pit, dominating the kitchen, issues forth such things as a quarter of a suckling pig, dry-aged strip loin in monumental sizes (20 ounces), or the more petite flat-iron steak (8 ounces). Round and Round They Go
This attraction’s denizens give the biggest smiles One of the most popular attractions here in Las Vegas is Shark Reef Aquarium. It is sometimes a great shock to visitors that such an incongruent element as a massive aquarium exists in the desert. As you make your way through the “ruins” of Shark Reef, you’ll see several environs for its creatures, including a humid jungle area, where golden crocodiles and Komodo dragons reside. Golden crocodiles are extremely endangered, with only about 100 left in the wild; the Komodo dragon is a carnivorous reptile with toxic saliva, very sharp teeth—and great eyesight. Travel on through the interior of this sunken temple and glimpse snakes and other creatures.

In addition to the reptiles near the beginning of the exhibit, you’ll peek through massive tanks for different sea creatures, from piranha to rays and all sorts of small and exotic fish. You’ll even see those famous sharks. A really neat area is the jellyfish tank, where boatloads swim about. In another tank, a large octopus lives; he’s occasionally shy, so keep your eyes peeled. A stingray tank and pool showcases those beautiful creatures, from juveniles to adults. Probably the most fun in the exhibit is the see-through tunnel, where a bunch of smaller sharks swim past. It’s incredibly mesmerizing, and even peaceful. Another interesting area is the sunken ship. Peeking through the beams here
yields views into a super-large tank. In this one, several varieties of sharks cruise past, and they are much larger than the ones in the tunnel. Do you know how many teeth those sharks have? Up to 3,000! To add to the wonder of the Shark Reef, you may want to take advantage of the Undersea Explorer VR Theater near the entrance of the attraction. In this virtual experience, swim along with mother humpbacks and their babies, dive into the midst of tiger sharks and hammerheads. It’s both fun and educational. Become the Expert What exactly does the S.T.A.T.I.O.N. in Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. mean? Once you know it’s Scientific Training And Tactical Intelligence Operative Network, the entire attraction makes sense. When you visit Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., you’ll be able to test your knowledge on the movie universe, and fill in many gaps you may have as you “train” to become an agent. Check out Captain America’s uniform and history, the Hulk’s biology and super strength, Wakanda’s mask, and the costumes of Ant-Man and the Scarlet Witch, as well as several others. Thor’s transit here is also examined on multiple screens in a special room, which also contains tons of info about him. There’s also a boatload of interactive elements, which tie in with each character. And you’ll find many, many incarnations of the Iron Man suit. You’ll finally compete against your companions and others in a culmination of your training in what is essentially a huge video game. Wings and Things You’re not hiding any secrets when you dine at Hooters. Everybody knows you’re there because you want quality chicken wings, delicious appetizers and an ice cold beer. Get ready to dig into classics like Buffalo chicken dip, Tex-Mex nachos and those original Hooters-style wings. Haute Spot If you’re familiar with Lisa Vanderpump’s home, Villa Rosa, then you’ll get an idea of the décor that awaits you at Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. “We have created a unique, decadent space with a majestic feel where guests can relax in a sexy garden oasis,” Vanderpump said when the venue opened in spring of 2019. Wet Heroine Partridge says that at The Laundry Room, “we’re most notable for our one-off cocktails. What can we do outside of the menu.” But the menu is defi nitely worth a look—cool cocktails, with even cooler stories attached to each one, just like the Wet Heroine, inspired by and named after a 1920s figurehead that ran a speakeasy. Giving readers a glimpse into a hidden gem There’s someone and someplace pretty amazing in downtown Las Vegas—and you’re staring and reading about it. This is Anthony Partridge, lead mixologist at The Laundry Room—the hidden cocktail bar inside the more easily findable Commonwealth on Fremont East. “There’s been many Commonwealth regulars that have never been back here,” Partridge says. “They don’t know it’s here. There is no other place in Vegas like this. When guests have asked, ‘Where else is like this?’ I always say, ‘There is no place like this, you’ve found it.’” The Laundry Room is a place for cocktail experiences. “There’s a cocktail methodology and philosophy that we bring to the way we build the cocktails and hearkens back to everything in that time frame when cocktails were cocktails,” Partridge says. And he’s the man heading it up. Born in England but raised in Las Vegas, he’s been “slinging drinks” for more than 20 years. He’s worked his craft from Phoenix to New
York City and back to Las Vegas—working in fast-casual restaurants, corporate venues, dive bars, nightclubs and high-end spots. “It took me 16 years to find this place, to find where I want to be,” says Partridge, who joined The Laundry Room in 2015. For him, being a mixologist at The Laundry Room means having a place for him to conjure up his creative side—to create and compose cocktails that guests have never tried, cocktails that they’ll be blown away by, he says. “We offer a very small, very small room where you sit here focused on your drink as opposed to anything else. I am able to give guests something more than what they thought they were asking for in the first place.” One of his favorite parts about being the lead mixologist inside this hidden cocktail haven is “producing and giving people an experience that they’ll remember forever in this type of environment,” he says, smiling. –Kiko Miyasato

Impressive restaurant lounges offer a laid-back experience There are many Las Vegas restaurants that offer exquisite lounge areas where you can still indulge in the food and beverage offerings. Make a dinner reservation, but while in town try doing it a little differently by hanging out inside the lounge area for a more laid-back, cool experience. At The Venetian and The Palazzo, Tao Asian Bistro has one of the sexiest lounge areas—an interior design of East-meets-West wrapped inside a decadent and dark environment. Just a short walk away is another Asian delight, Mott 32, where Chinese-inspired cuisine and cocktails can be enjoyed in the beautiful and expansive lounge designed with an upscale bohemian flair. For a cool, Cuba-meets-old-school-Vegas experience, head to the Flamingo’s Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse, where the lounge area has

Two favorite restaurant lounges that transport you back in time to that old-school Las Vegas experience are perennial favorite The Steakhouse at Circus Circus—its intimate lounge area surrounded by dark woods and vintage-inspired furnishings—and Edge Steakhouse at Westgate Las Vegas—its petite lounge just outside the main dining room offers high-top tables and just a few seats at the bar that make for a perfect setting for a romantic date night. For some group fun, Giada at The Cromwell offers a living room-type lounge area with low tables and sofas, all with a feminine touch to the design—a great place to gather with girlfriends for a cocktail. Another fun restaurant lounge,
one that whisks guests away to old-school New York City, is Carbone at Aria. The lounge here is spacious, and the interior design is an upscale nod to the postwar boom. For a period-piece design, there’s perhaps no more vogue display of classic, speakeasy-style surroundings than the lounge inside Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio. The lounge is so elegantly decorated that having a cocktail and bite here is a true only-in-Las Vegas moment. For another throwback design perfectly executed, the 1960s- and ’70s-inspired lounge at Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa Resort & Casino deserves a visit. Another beloved local haunt also expanded to kick off the new year when the Great Greek Mediterranean Grill (702.476.5818) opened another eatery on St. Rose Parkway in Henderson. This is the spot to satisfy your cravings for beef and lamb gyros, falafel pita sandwiches, grilled steak souvlaki and much more. One of the newest culinary hot spots in town planted its flag at the Tivoli Village center on the west side. Al Solito Posto (702.463.6781) is a new take on Italian classics from chef James Trees, who has already captivated locals and Las Vegas visitors with his hip Esther’s Kitchen downtown. This bigger, service-oriented dining space is serving up elevated versions of everyone’s favorites like eggplant Parm, seafood cioppino and Sunday gravy with braised short rib, meatballs and veal. If you’re seeking similarly homey Italian cuisine back on Las Vegas Boulevard, check out Carmine’s (702.473.9700) at The Forum Shops at Caesars, famous for its gigantic family-sized portions, spicy scarpariello chicken wings and porterhouse pizzaiola. For a lighter touch, head across the street to The Cromwell and sample elegant cuisine at Giada (855.442.3271). Don’t miss the pesto arancini, spaghetti with shrimp and lemon and risotto with crab and scallops. Whether or not there’s football to watch, Sundays are always for brunch in Las Vegas. At Bellagio, Sadelle’s (702.693.7075) continues to up the ante with pristine cuisine in one of the most beautiful rooms in any casino resort. Keep it simple with house-smoked salmon on a bagel with eggs or indulge with the Vegas omelet loaded with bacon and American and Muenster cheeses. On the east side, The Stove (702.625.5216) has grown into a neighborhood cornerstone thanks to amazing views and incredible food like short rib empanadas, pecan pancakes and suckling pig eggs Benedict. Downtown’s Arts District is booming with breweries The 18b Las Vegas Arts District was formed in 1998 to promote artistic endeavors of all mediums. In the past five years, the 18-block initiative has welcomed a new art form—the craft of brewing beer—which has blossomed into what can rightly be called a beer district, with five breweries, two brewery taprooms and a handful of beer-centric pubs.
Hop Nuts (1120 S. Main St., 702.816.5371) was the first to launch the beer renaissance in the district, opening in 2015. One of the more popular beers is The Golden Knight, a light-bodied, 7.5 percent ABV Belgian Golden Strong Ale brewed with pilsner and wheat

malt and European hops. Since opening, the brewery’s popularity warranted adding more brewing equipment to double its capacity, and also led to the opening of a taproom in Tivoli Village in 2019. Able Baker (1510 S. Main St., 702.907.1676) opened
in 2019. Its name refers to the state’s atomic history, as the first two atomic bombs detonated at the Nevada Test Site were named “Able” and “Baker.” The Atomic Duck IPA is one of its most popular beers, both at the brewery and around town. The onsite Arts District

A menu of European sausages, cheese and charcuterie boards is offered, as well as the full menu from Esther’s Kitchen across the street. The Mad Fermentist (1115 S. Casino Center Blvd.) opened in early 2020 on the second level of the Three Sheets Craft Beer Bar on Casino Center. The beers, contract brewed at Mojave Brewing in Henderson, include Dissonance, a 6 percent ABV Bavarian Hefeweisse Bier with blueberry, blackberry and raspberry purées. One of the signature brews at Nevada Brew Works (1327 S. Main St., #160, 702.664.1500) is Ariana Rye, a lightly hopped rye pale ale (a portion of its proceeds are donated to a local charity providing medical equipment for disabled children). A kitchen churns out fresh-baked pizzas, burgers, wings, cheese curds and pretzels.
Also newly opened, just two doors down, is HUDL (1327 S. Main St., #100, 702.445.7100). One of its most impressive brews is the 8.2 percent ABV 115° Imperial Stout with additions of brown sugar and dark chocolate aged in a bourbon barrel. HUDL and Nevada Brew Works share a sizeable outdoor patio. The aforementioned brewing facilities are pro-

viding more reasons to visit the Arts District. Also worth checking out are beer-centric pubs including Three Sheets Craft Beer Bar (1115 Casino Center Blvd., 702.912.0590), the newly-opened Servehzah Bottle Shop and Tap Room (1301 S. Commerce St., #130, 702.779.3176), and the soonto-open The Silver Stamp, all of which feature an ample selection of local beer.
LAS VEGAS owes quite a debt to John van der Put, better known as the acerbic, costumed prestidigitator Piff the Magic Dragon. During 2020’s horrifically crippling shutdown of Las Vegas, he was one of the few bright lights, trying to keep everyone’s spirits up by staying active on social media with live-stream broadcasts from his home (featuring showgirl Jade Simone, who’s also in Piff’s show on the Strip). It was both an entertaining diversion from the depressing realities of the moment and a constant reminder that, while Las Vegas’ entertainment community was shuttered for months, it never really went away. As Piff told Las Vegas Magazine shortly after returning last year, “It was difficult to stay positive. That’s what I found. Speaking to my friends from all walks of life, performers and people outside the industry, no one was doing OK. The creative part was easy because we had a two-year to-do list and finally had the time to make it happen, even though it felt slightly crazy to be working on those things. It was a bit like building Noah’s Ark. I would be, ‘The shows are coming back!’ And everyone was like, ‘Really?’ But we did it, we built the ark, and we’re ready to sail.” Piff is back at the Flamingo, although, in keeping with the theme of the post-COVID age, nothing is the same as before. For starters, Piff is no longer in his intimate theater; he’s now performing at the much larger Flamingo Showroom (the former home of such acts as Donny &

Marie, Richard Marx, Paula Abdul, Olivia Newton-John and many others). That’s because, in accordance with state mandates, he has to limit his audiences significantly. A larger space allows him to still have enough audience members to help generate the energy that makes his shows so much fun. For those who have seen his show before, don’t worry: Piff still singles out audience members to come on stage to assist him in his illusions; but now you’ll have to stand at least 6 feet away and wear a mask. Will it change the vibe of the show? Absolutely. Will it be any less funny? We highly doubt it. With Piff at the wheel, any situation, no matter how farcical or strange, is comedy gold in his hands. (Which seems completely fitting, considering van der Put’s alter ego is constantly talking about his obsession with gold— and princesses!) And he’s still joined by Simone and his constant compatriot, the ridiculously cute canine Mr. Piffles, who takes the whole show in amazingly relaxed stride— one wonders what it would take to really get a rise out of him, considering the trials and tribulations his master puts him through—feeding him large wedding rings, shooting him out of a cannon, and so many other brutal fates (OK, not really!). Piff was there for all of us in the darkest of times—it’s time for all of us to be there for him. So call, order a ticket, and welcome back entertainment to Las Vegas!

The STRAT celebrates turning 25 in ’21 By Nina King
When charismatic gambler and businessman Bob Stupak opened his Stratosphere hotel and tower in 1996, Las Vegas celebrated with him. Stupak had started his Las Vegas hoteland casino-owning days downtown in 1971, converting the Vault casino into Glitter Gulch, and installing the iconic Vegas Vickie neon sign (now on display at the new Circa Resort & Casino). He bought acreage north of Sahara Avenue on Las Vegas Boulevard and built a small casino, which became the site of the space-themed Vegas World hotel and casino in 1979. That hotel became immensely popular, in large part due to Stupak’s marketing acumen, and inspired plans for the tallest observation tower in the U.S., with rides and a restaurant showcasing the valley’s views. The Stratosphere tower opened in 1996 as hotel rooms were still being converted from Vegas World to Stratosphere. In 1998, tycoon Carl Icahn purchased the property and completed renovations by 2001. His American Casino & Entertainment Properties became the official owner in 2004. American Casino & Entertainment Properties retained ownership until

2017, although Icahn sold the company in 2007. Current owner Golden Entertainment purchased the company and the Stratosphere in 2017 and instituted an extensive renovation of the resort, which continued through 2020—it officially rebranded as The STRAT in 2019. Throughout the years, the property acted both as a locals casino and a tourist destination, and was known for its entertainment, attractions and dining, including Top of the World, a fine-dining restaurant that is still one of the most popular in Las Vegas. In fact, it’s the seventh top-grossing independently owned restaurant in the
U.S. as of 2019. The restaurant itself is unusual, as diners enjoy a view of the Vegas skyline that constantly changes, as the circular restaurant rotates 360 degrees every 80 minutes. Today, The STRAT also features PT’s Wings & Sports and 107 SkyLounge, which offers cocktails and a view just above Top of the World, although the lounge does not rotate. Entertainment options opened and evolved through the years, with the long-running American Superstars show paying tribute to celebrities like Elvis and Britney Spears, vampire-themed adult revue Bite giving way to Claire Sinclair’s Pin Up, and comedy clubs like the L.A. Comedy Club and variety acts populating the showroom. Recently, long-running Michael Jackson tribute act MJ Live was playing there (shows are subject to current COVID restrictions). As part of the new renovations, a circus-style tent was erected near Las Vegas Boulevard for Celestia, a show replete with acrobats and variety acts that opened in 2019. From the beginning, the attractions atop the tower have been a huge draw. Today,

there are three rides that take advantage of the height for maximum thrills—Big Shot, Insanity and X-Scream. A relatively new attraction, SkyJump, opened in 2010, and allows one to jump from the tower (the descent slows at the end). And when The STRAT celebrates its birthday month in April, it will do so with special events and offers through the month, so it’s the perfect time to plan a return trip to Vegas.

At MGM Resorts International properties, check in on your phone when you get close to the resort, and you’ll be able to pay and get a digital key. You can also check in with a contactless option on a kiosk and a more traditional front-desk option. Caesars Entertainment has rearranged front-desk areas and lines to accommodate social distancing, and provides hand sanitizer. Some hotels also have plexiglass installed at the front desk.
Hand sanitizer, everywhere! Every hotel that reopens is required to have stations for hand sanitizing throughout. MGM Resorts’ properties even offer new handwashing stations. You’ll notice that employees are masked and, if their job requires it, gloved. This goes for those employees you see and those who labor behind the scenes, in restaurants, loading docks and other areas. Those employees undergo a health self-screening daily and most are also screened for temperature.
There may be a line, as guests are being asked to maintain adequate spacing between groups and to try to ride with their own party, or ride with fewer people. Employees often clean and sanitize the buttons and commonly touched areas inside the cars, and clean escalator rails.
Feel good in knowing your room has been thoroughly sanitized. Surfaces have been wiped down; and linens and towels completely changed out. You’ll probably find extra towels in your room, and can always request more if needed. You may not find little bottles of amenities but amenities are still available. Housekeeping and other guest services may not be entering your room unless requested, and at some hotels, won’t be entering during your stay.

OK! It’s time to release a little tension, and maybe win a few bucks. Go grab some cash, and head to the floor. While you’re here, you’ll see a variety of measures being taken to increase social distancing, such as slot machines not being available right next to each other, congregating behind each other not allowed, a limited number of players at the tables and plexiglass partitions between dealers and players. You may be asked to step away from the game if you remove your mask to smoke. Casinos are required to have a plan to disinfect all the items needed to play, such as chips, cards, balls and dice.
Although venues may differ, most will implement 25-foot spacing between performers and audience members and space between each party to encourage social distancing. Masks are mandatory. There is a limit to the number of people allowed in the venue, per current Nevada rules.
Most restaurants require reservations, although not all. Many will text or call when your table is ready, saving you the hassle of waiting in line. You’re required to wear your face mask until you reach your table. It may feel much more intimate, as tables have 6 feet between them and the number of customers is fewer. Menus may be digital or one-time use paper menus. At some restaurants, permanent menus are sanitized between each use. Condiments won’t simply be stored on the table, and are sanitized between customers. Bars will also be spacing patrons’ parties 6 feet apart.

Although the number of attractions in Vegas isn’t as high as a few months ago, sanitation is still high on those that are open, and social distancing is easily seen. For instance, on New York-New York’s Roller Coaster, cars are loaded with the same party, and alternate cars will be empty.
One of the best ways is to check-out on the TV in your room, and hotels have been using this option for many years now. Look at your bill, OK it if all is correct, and get a copy emailed to you. If you have a physical key, most hotels will allow you to leave it in the room. Some hotels have check-out kiosks that are sanitized often.
While you’re here in Las Vegas, there are several things you can do to help keep yourself well and decrease the chances of you or someone else getting sick. Get hand rolls or cut rolls, and for the best of the night, order the omakase for a multicourse tasting menu. That even comes vegetarian, if you so desire. There are plenty of hot and cold dishes, too. Try monkfish pate with caviar, oyster or uni shooters, spicy crab and wagyu gyoza.
