Mississauga,
Dear This refers to your application for permanent residence from within Canada on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.
Humanitarian and compassionate factors are assessed for the purpose of determining whether to grant an exemption from certain legislative requirements to allow your application for permanent residence to be processed from within Canada. On April , 2022, a representative of the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reviewed your application. We are pleased to inform you that you meet the conditions (eligibility requirements), and your application has been approved in principle. You must meet all requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and its Regulations such as medical, security, passport and arrangements for your care and support. As your application is processed, separate decisions will be made about whether or not you meet those requirements. Should you require a “Certificat de Sélection du Québec” (CSQ), IRCC will contact the « Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration» (MIFI) on your behalf. Please note that your application for permanent residence could be refused if: you and your family members do not meet all other requirements of the IRPA and its Regulations for which you have not been granted an exemption; you receive a letter asking for a reply and you do not respond within the specified period; you fail to advise IRCC of any changes to your address and contact information. You may inform IRCC of changes by contacting the IRCC Client Support Centre or online at https://www.cic.gc.ca.
