Born and raised in New York, Glenn Allyn began building his multidisciplinary career through academic achievement and focused preparation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Hartwick College in Oneonta. He later pursued legal studies at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, where he obtained his Juris Doctor. These academic steps shaped the beginning of a professional path that would extend across aviation, law, and real estate.

Early Career in Law and Business

His first post-college position was in automotive sales, where he served as a sales manager at a dealership in Nyack, New York. After completing law school, he joined several established law firms in New York City and White Plains, ultimately becoming a partner at two. His legal focus included aviation law and ski industry liability. Early in his legal career, he contributed to significant cases dealing with air disasters, particularly those involving insurance and reinsurance complexities.

Experience in Ski Industry and Coaching

Glenn Allyn’s legal knowledge of ski-related liability was strengthened by hands-on involvement in the ski world. He coached youth ski teams for competitors aged 12 to 15 and worked as a staff trainer at a ski resort.As a J3/J4 coach, he taught technical race skills, built athletes’tactical awareness, and helped them prepare for competitive events. He also trained other instructors in teaching children, combining athletic coaching with instructional leadership.

Real Estate Development and Property Management

Over a 15-year span, he was actively involved in real estate as a builder, developer, and property manager. His work covered both residential and commercial projects. He handled responsibilities such as overseeing construction, managing leases, and maintaining building operations. This hands-on experience gave him practical insight into asset development and long-term investment strategies.

Initial Roles inAviation

His aviation career began as a Learjet captain at Northeast Jet inAllentown, Pennsylvania. He then moved into an executive role as Director of Operations for Tab Aviation, which had operations in New York and New Hampshire. These positions helped him build thousands of flight hours while gaining experience managing flight operations and regulatory compliance.

Aircraft Sales and Transaction Management

Glenn later joined Best Jets, Inc. as an aircraft sales associate and broker. His duties included facilitating transactions for jets, turboprops, helicopters, and other aircraft types. He guided clients through all sales process stages, including negotiations, evaluations, inspections, and closing procedures.This role expanded his knowledge of aviation markets and the financial structure of aircraft deals.

Leadership inAviation Services

He continued his career as Chief Pilot at M’Air Aviation, managing pilot operations, evaluating risk, and participating in aircraft sales and operational planning. This role allowed him to build leadership skills within flight departments, oversee safety standards, and prepare for a larger role in aviation management.

Establishing Flying Zebra

For over seven years, he has been the head of Flying Zebra, a private aviation company based at Westchester County Airport. The company operates flights across the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. Flying Zebra’s fleet includes Pilatus PC12 aircraft, selected for their flexibility and efficiency in regional travel. Under his leadership, the company has become known for reliable service and consistent safety practices.

As Chief Pilot, he handles many responsibilities, including scheduling, charter operations, pilot compliance, and flight tracking. He also oversees aircraft maintenance, insurance, warranty management, and leasing. His work includes addressing regulatory issues, coordinating pilot training, and advising on aviation tax deductions and operational costs.

Flight Time and Technical Qualifications

Glenn Allyn has logged over 30,000 flight hours, including over 22,000 as the lead pilot. His experience covers jets, turboprops, and helicopters, with 1,600 hours of rotary-wing time. He holds FAA Part 135 certification, which authorizes him to operate on-demand commercial charter services. In addition, he has written operational documents, including safetymanagement manuals,CanadianAOCapplications,emergency plans,and hazardous materials guidelines.

Beyond his professional career, Glenn leads an active lifestyle that includes golf, scuba diving, cycling, running, biathlon, kiteboarding, and waterskiing. He also takes part in motorcycling and competitive shooting sports. A lifelong skier, he has participated in amateur and professional events across multiple skiing disciplines, including aerials, moguls, and alpine racing.
