Glatz Morning Light colour world fabrics were designed to bring you joy throughout the summer. These premium fabrics maintain their colour for a long time, refusing to fade even in strong sunlight.
Lasting durability, lasting looks –Glatz fabrics are of the highest quality.
Our fabrics of fabric quality 5 have a wonderful premium feel, require little maintenance and are resistant to wind and rain. They block out up to 98% of UV rays, which is equivalent to a sun-protection factor of 50+.
These fabrics are also highly tear-resistant and have excellent water-repellent qualities. One thing is certainly clear: Glatz combines high-quality materials with a refined sense of aesthetics – for parasols that will bring you joy for many a summer.

Fabric quality 5 has a strong, matt look and feel as well as being extremely tear resistant and boasting lightfastness of 7 to 8 (at least 350 to 700 days), which means the colours remain vibrant even after exposure to very strong sunlight. All fabrics offer UV protection that is equivalent to sun-protection factor 50+. They also undergo a treatment process to make them water- and dirt-repellent, further increasing their longevity. And, if you want to get the most out of your Glatz parasol for many years to come, we recommend using the included protective cover.

The Glatz story is one of pioneering innovation. In 1931, Alexo revolutionised the world of parasols with his newly developed gear joint. The Pendalex – the world’s first side-mast parasol –followed in 1959. Innovations like this do not come about merely by chance, but rather are the direct expression of a deeply rooted culture of experimentation and thinking outside the box.
But Glatz refuses to rest on its laurels.
