BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY DECOR SUPPORTS GIRLS INC.
BRIGHTEN YOUR HOME with a variety of greenery items that you or a friend can enjoy while supporting the important work of Girls Inc. at the same time!
Not wanting a wreath? Perhaps you would like one of three sizes of garlands or a festive door spray.
About 18" wide, the lovely Sugarberry Centerpiece is bursting with naturally scented mixed evergreens which stay fresh and moist from the floral foam base. It comes complete with decorations and LED candle and light set — both with a timer.
The live Table Top Christmas Tree arrives with all the trimmings including lights with a timer. It’s a perfect way to decorate children’s rooms, home entryways, office settings, elderly facilities, and more. These are nursery-grown dwarf Alberta spruce trees, 22"-24" tall, and may be planted outdoors after the holidays to enjoy for years to come!
Orders can be placed through any Girls Inc. board

We hope you will consider a greenery purchase to support our girls this year — what a great way to welcome the holidays! Hope to hear from you soon!
ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN A CHALLENGE adding a permanent Mental Health Advocate to our staff, our affiliate is committed to supporting the mental health needs of our members. All key staff have completed a variety of training sessions in this area including Youth Mental Health First Aid and Beyond Behavior. We are also implementing the Playground Project in several schools where girls in grades 2 and 3 participate in activities that focus on friendships: resolving conflict in a respectful way, learning what positive friendships look like, and developing the tools needed to be a good friend! We work to empower girls to navigate conflict and develop empathy for others.
Thanks to our incredibly supportive relationship with the Bethany Legacy Foundation, we will continue to make meeting these needs a priority.

Summer Fun in Switzerland Co.
GIRLS INC. IS PROUD to be included in the Live Well Switzerland County effort! Thanks to the support of the Community Foundation of Switzerland County, we were able to revisit one of our familiar sites this summer as well as make friends in a new one!
YMCA — Summer 2025 marks the fourth summer we have provided programming at the Switzerland County YMCA! In partnership with Excel After the Bell, girls participated in “Redefining Beauty” which focuses on building their self esteem and self confidence.
PATRIOT — This exciting new program met in the annex building where the main focus was healthy living. The girls also enjoyed doing crafts and all kinds of activities! Several partners showed up throughout the eight weeks to help with our program as well as provide food and snacks. The community support was amazing throughout the entire summer! Looking forward to returning in 2026!
Girls LEAD Summer
D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) was one of our new programs this summer.
WHERE TO BEGIN? Our 2025 center-based program was busy as busy can be! All of the girls participated in a variety of activities that align with the Girls Inc. Core Essential Services like STEM, crafts, yoga, clay work, water games and mindfulness. New on the agenda was D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) where our older girls read to our younger girls. Definitely made for some learning experiences and adorable photos!
Visitors abounded as the girls engaged in programming presented by Safe Pace, Safe Passage, Cummins volun-

teers, the Madison-Jefferson County Public Library, and the 4-H Southpaws! And the heat didn’t stop us from getting out into the community for visits to the Madison Senior Center, Jewel Place, Crystal Beach, the Ohio Theatre and the Hanover College Science Center.
Several of our older girls took part in our Strong, Smart, and Bold Outcomes Surveys and, of course it wouldn’t be summer without a visit from Kona Ice (thanks to the Stacks) and an end of the summer pizza party made possible by our friends at Teton Corporation.
