Girl Scout Fest 2026: Friendship, Farms, and Flight at the Military Aviation Museum Saturday, October 31 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Blast off into a new Girl Scout year! Enjoy the Military Aviation Museum, a field full of program partners, fun activities, and even skydivers at this family-friendly event. Highlights of the event will include: • Exclusive Girl Scout activities outside the museum: watch a skydiver, pull an airplane, and join our program partners for activities including art, STEM, and healthy living. • SWAPS Extravaganza: Bring SWAPS to trade or join us at our crafting table to create something new! • Hands-on STEM Activities: Participants can engage with exciting activities like coding with robots, weather forecasting, aircraft mechanics demonstrations, and more. • Admission to the Military Aviation Museum included! Explore the history and science of incredible aircrafts! • Juliette Gordon Low Birthday Sing-along: We'll sing "Happy Birthday" to our founder and then join our voices for other Girl Scout favorites. • While at Girl Scout Fest, be sure to stop by the Global Action Activity Area. Meet some amazing Girl Scouts who attended the 2026 Girl Scout Global Citizen Summit. 2026 Fall Product Program
Every girl who is a registered Girl Scout for the 2027 membership year is encouraged to participate!
Fall Product Program Dates: Program begins - September 11 Online Girl Delivery order ends - October 5 Program ends - November 8
Troops earn on average $290 from the Fall Product Program.
The Fall Product Program is one of the best and easiest ways for Girl Scouts to start earning troop funds! It also gets them started early learning valuable skills, including customer service, organizing, creative problem solving, money handling, marketing savvy, and goal setting.
*Average based on 2025 Fall Product Program with an average of 6 Girl Scouts per troop selling.
With the troop, go over the badges they want to earn or activities they’d like to do later in the year and have the girls work as a team to set a Fall Product Program goal. Even new members can feel a part of something bigger as they join their new friends in helping to achieve a common goal! Remember to get parents and caregivers involved. If they know the specific goal their girl has set (i.e., how much they need to sell in order earn their way to the awesome activities the troop has planned), they can better do their part to support and encourage them. Plan a fun meeting before the season begins, with both parents and girls in attendance, to ensure that everyone knows key dates, goals, and expectations for the program. Bonus points if you let your girls do the talking! Like the Cookie Program, the Fall Product Program is something many girls and families look forward to each year. Help girls reap the benefits of this entrepreneurial experience and kickstart the troop year through the Fall Product Program!

13th Annual Cookie Classic Run! Saturday, January 16, 2027 1246 Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, Chesapeake This multi-distance, family friendly, run/walk event is a great way to launch the 2027 cookie season & start runners off on their 2027 running year! All distances are out and back, on flat asphalt at Chesapeake's Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. Best of all, Girl Scout Cookies will be waiting for you at the finish! Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself, meet new people, and have fun! All abilities welcomed. Girl Scouts Rule in Schools! Community Troops
Reading Buddies Girl Scout Juniors from Troop 577 love reading and used this as a springboard to create their Girl Scout Junior Bronze Award project, "Reading Buddies." Research shows that when students have "someone" to read aloud to, it increases fluency, confidence and reading ability! The girls made and distributed reading buddies for students with reading challenges at four elementary schools in their community. Helping others couldn't be cuddlier!
Seven Little Libraries Restocked
Fun and learning the Girl Scout way was delivered to girls in several schools and recreation centers thanks to the GSCCC Community Troop Team. Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies from Troop 1113, who meet at Sedgefield Elementary School, learned about the basics of saving, spending, and making smart financial choices while earning financial badges. They also stitched their very own stuffed animals and learned beginner sewing skills while working on maker badges. Through guided discussions and activities, the girls also worked on a mental wellness patch, Resilient. Ready. Strong. They explored how to bounce back from setbacks, starting a journal, and how to support one another along the way. Girl Scouts from Troop 5018 who meet at Thurgood Marshall Elementary, had a pizza and ice cream party as part of their bridging ceremony. The leader and a teacher at the school, Barbara Patterson, presented bridging 5th graders with badges they had earned and a framed box with their sash. Girl Scouts from Troop 1231 spread the joy of reading in Williamsburg! They restocked seven Little Free Libraries with more than 300 books and 60 handmade bookmarks.
Books for Girl Scout Daisies Who Love to Read! The Amazing Daisies Level 1 I Can Read Books: The Amazing Daisies The Amazing Daisies Make Ice Cream The Amazing Daisies Hunt for Colors Girl Scouts: The Amazing Daisies Hunt for Colors (I Can Read Level 1) In this book, Ava, Hazel, and Ellie are in a race to find all the colors of the rainbow along the Daisy Lane nature trail before Hazel's sister Ariel and her friends, Maven and Sylvie. Whichever team can take photos of each color first wins a tray of rainbow cupcakes. This book also includes instructions for going on your own nature scavenger hunt!
BackPack Program
From Idea to Reality Girl Scout Junior Genevive Pachucki from Troop 269 took action through her Girl Scout Bronze Award project to help her school’s drop-off lane run smoother. After getting school approval, she recruited and trained a special patrol of 5th graders to become helpers. Drop-off at St. Mathews has become a breeze, and teachers, parents and kids thank Genevive for her work!
Care Kits for Norfolk Public School Students
Girl Scouts from Troop 371 packed 450 food bags as part of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia’s BackPack Program. The nationally recognized BackPack Program is an initiative aimed at combating childhood hunger. Through partnerships with local schools and community centers, participating students receive backpacks filled with nonperishable food items, such as canned fruits, protein-rich snacks, and whole-grain products. Project P.E.T. (Playmate Enrichment Toys)
Girl Scout Juniors from Troop 535 in Norfolk helped students in need at the Academy for Discovery at Lakewood (ADL) and Taylor Elementary through their Girl Scout Bronze Award project, "Care Kits for Norfolk Public School Students." They assembled care kits with essential hygiene items they collected that included deodorant, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, feminine hygiene products, shower wipes, and lip balm. They also included high-demand basics like socks and underwear. They used some of their Girl Scout Cookie proceeds for this project!
Girl Scout Juniors from Troop 371 made snuffle mats, no-sew catnip toys, tennis ball toys, sock toys and hay bags for the Chesapeake Humane Society and the Virginia SPCA as part of their Girl Scout Bronze Award project. They also made and donated five dog beds from recycled quilts and blankets!

Blankets for Operation Smile
Girl Scout Juniors from Troop 600 made a lasting impact at Alanton Elementary in Virginia Beach with two Girl Scout Bronze Award projects focused on friendship and community. They found creative ways to bring students together and encourage inclusion. They constructed a Gaga ball pit to promote teamwork and transformed a picnic table into a colorful “Buddy Bench,” complete with hand-painted friendship quotes to encourage kindness!
Family Fun Day on the Farm Many thanks to six of our program partners who hosted activity tables at our Family Fun Day on the Farm event held at Bluebird Gap Farm in Hampton. Partners included Code Ninjas, Navy Federal Credit Union, Okii Dream and Zeiders Theatre. Girl Scout Daisy Sienna Klassen from Troop 2623 enjoyed learning about toys that held the interest of past generations.
Girl Scout Cadette Charlotte Lee Ward from Troop 5114 partnered with Operation Smile to work on her Girl Scout Silver Award project, "Blankets for Operation Smile." Charlotte made and distributed flyers on how to make no-sew blankets. She distributed the flyers to community groups and made an instructional video that she shared. She also hosted a blanket-making party at her area library. More than 100 blankets were made and donated to Operation Smile! Scan the QR code to learn how to earn the Operation Smile Explore patch!
Hershey Park is a Sweet Place to Visit Girl Scouts from Troop 329 in Chesapeake used their Cookie Program proceeds to plan and carry out a fun trip to Hershey Park and surrounding area. A lot of memories were made!

Where Confidence Grows! CHKD Toy Drive
Bronze Award Project-Painting Bee Hives Girl Scouts from Troop 826 conducted a toy drive for Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters as a Girl Scout Bronze Award project. They created flyers and decorated collection boxes that were placed in several schools and community centers. All the donations they collected were delivered to the hospital during Girl Scout Week!
Pollinator Paradise Girl Scout Juniors from Troop 1014 chose to create a pollinator-friendly garden at the local Moose Lodge as their Girl Scout Bronze Award project, “Pollinator Paradise.” They chose several perennial plants for their garden to bloom and grow for several seasons. A beautiful garden that is beneficial to insects and small wildlife and raises awareness on the importance of pollinators and sustainable gardening!
A Friend to Our Coastline Girl Scout Cadette Eleanor Pierson from Troop 207 supported healthy beaches and marine life through her Girl Scout Silver Award project, "In Balance: Human and Marine Life." She held two events where environmental groups exhibited and did educational activities to raise awareness on ocean pollutants. She also hosted a table at the events that included a game she designed and created to help educate on how to make better choices that are Earth friendly.

Girl Scout Juniors Charlotte Ward, Kylie Macdaniel, and Isabella Barba from Troop 5114 in Windsor earned their Girl Scout Bronze Award for a project they titled, Painting Bee Hives. They paired with a local beekeeping club to learn about pollinators and beehives. They then painted bee boxes and donated them to support beekeeping research!
Something New at Camp Skimino! Discover the power of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math at Camp Skimino’s new STEM Center! Located in the beloved Norfolk Lodge, the Center offers a variety of hands-on, interactive activities in STEM subjects for all Girl Scout levels. With brand new equipment, educational materials, and STEM kits, Girl Scouts can earn badges in astronomy, robotics, mechanical engineering, and automotive engineering. Reserve the STEM Center through several rental packages. Package options are varied to fit every troop’s STEM interest and experience. STEM Kits must be ordered at least two weeks in advance of Center reservation to account for processing and delivery. • The Eyeclick OBIE Projector must be reserved at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of your Norfolk Lodge reservation. The projector is reserved in time blocks. • STEM Club Kits ($40/per girl) – Engineer and build real machines! Choose from Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and Robotics. Kits include 3 projects, 3 sets of instructions, 3 badges, and 1 badge booklet. Kits must be ordered at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of your Norfolk Lodge reservation. • Intro to Drones Program – Contact customercare@gsccc.org for information and scheduling.

During the event, GSCCC recognized 8 Gold Award Girl Scouts. As part of the celebration, project videos on each Gold Award Girl Scout were shown. Each Gold Award Girl Scout was also honored with a lifetime membership made possible by the Helen Kattwinkel Lifetime Membership Endowment fund.
Celebrating Leadership in Action! Norfolk State University opened the doors of the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center to nearly 400 guests on Saturday, June 6 for Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast’s annual awards celebration. GSCCC was proud to honor Girl Scouts earning the highest Girl Scout awards — Gold, Silver, and Bronze, and Summit — along with the Buck Harris awardee, the top entrepreneurs of this year’s product programs, scholarship recipients and graduating Girl Scouts bridging to adults. Dr. Leonard Brown, Jr., who also serves on GSCCC’s Board of Directors as Vice Chair, was on hand to welcome everyone to the venue.

Girl Scouts of Courage, Confidence, and Character Scholarship Gold Award Girl Scout Ambassador Marley Fenley
National Gold Award Scholarship Gold Award Girl Scout Ambassadors Marley Fenley, Lana Janas, and Nomi Reins were recognized as finalists for GSUSA’s 2026 National Gold Award Girl Scout Scholarship. This prestigious $5,000 award is presented to one Girl Scout from each of the 111 Councils across the country. From those finalists, Gold Award Girl Scout Marley Fenley was selected as GSCCC’s recipient! In addition to this national recognition, thanks to the generosity of passionate Girl Scout alums and former board members in our council, Marley also received an additional $5,000 scholarship, and each of our council’s finalists was awarded a $2,500 scholarship.

Girl Scout Marley Fenley knew without a doubt what she wanted to work on to earn her Gold Award. She was determined to help people understand neurodiversity and how it impacts lives. A senior honor student at Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach who had earned both the Girl Scout Bronze and Silver Awards, this Girl Scout was prepared to take on the rigorous planning and implementation to reach the Gold. Her project, “i wish the world knew,” was an awareness and education project on neurodiversity.

Neurodiversity is the idea that differences in how people’s brains work are a natural and valuable part of human diversity — just like differences in race, gender, or culture. Neurodiversity covers a wide range of diagnoses including autism, ADHD, speech delays, anxiety, and others. To Marley, it means that there isn’t just one “right” way for a brain to function, learn, or process information. Instead, people can think, learn, and experience the world in many different ways.

“Many people know nothing about neurodiversity,” Marley explained. “People in our community, including professionals, often do not understand the behaviors, actions, and abilities of children and adults with neurodiversity. Due to this lack of education and awareness, they often mistreat or misunderstand people who are different than them.” As a start, Marley designed and sold beaded bracelets with positive affirmations at a Girl Scout leader meeting, a local yoga studio, and to friends and family. Her small business effort raised over $500, enough to fund all the art supplies and publish a book connected to her project. She then invited 26 participants—children and adults who live, love, or work with neurodiversity—to make art pieces expressing what they wished the world understood about their experiences. Marley matted each piece of artwork and organized a three-week art show at Embrace Counseling, complete with an opening reception attended by over 40 guests. During her art show reception, Marley offered attendees the chance to paint kindness rocks—each decorated with uplifting words or designs. Later, she transformed these rocks into a Kindness Rock Garden outside Embrace Counseling and the Tidewater Psychiatric Center, complete with a handmade sign. She and Embrace Counseling continue to maintain the garden, ensuring it remains a symbol of understanding. Lastly, she compiled the artwork into a hardcover book, distributing 20 copies to counseling offices, schools, and other community spaces. Thank you, Marley! Your creativity and compassion will continue to grow.

The Colonial Coast Cavers are dedicated to spelunking! They take a bi-annual trek to the hills of West Virginia to explore the underground world through caving. The group also hosts an annual program in January at Camp Skimino called Cracks, Crevices and Crawlways; this indoor, simulated caving program introduces caving to Girl Scouts of all ages. GSCCC's award-winning Blazing Blue Herons took part in the 50th anniversary of the Girl Scout races at the General Clinton Canoe Regatta over the 2026 Memorial Day weekend in Bainbridge, New York. Canoers raced in several categories. Highlights included the 15-mile relay team of Valentina Gil, Cailyn Yerigan, Katie Keller, and Ava Cook who finished 2nd, and the 15-mile Endurance Race team of Allie McCardle-Blunk and Lilah Fairchild who finished first to earn the title Queens of the River! Meet Volunteer Alexis Majied A sense of purpose is what keeps Alexis Majied deeply engaged with Girl Scouts. She serves on GSCCC’s Board of Directors and is the mom of two Girl Scouts – Anisa and Amira. Prior to joining the Board, she served as a troop leader. Professionally, she is the chief communications officer for Hampton Roads Transit. She has nearly 20 years’ experience in marketing and communications and finds good communications skills can help no matter what your role! “At work, I’ve learned to listen, be patient, and make sure everyone feels heard,” Alexis explains. “On the board, I bring that same mindset to ensure that the decisions we make truly consider the girls and volunteers they affect. And my experience in marketing communications helps me tell the Girl Scout story in ways that inspire others to get involved.” For parents and professionals wondering how to make time for Girl Scouts, Alexis offers encouraging advice: “You don’t have to dive in headfirst,” she says. “Even helping out at a troop meeting or organizing a small activity can make a difference. The time you give pays off through the friendships you build, the impact you make, and the memories you create together.” For Alexis, Girl Scouts isn’t just an extracurricular activity; it’s part of her family’s journey. Her daughters, Anisa and Amira, have grown through new experiences — from camp adventures to community projects — and she cherishes the memories they’ve built together. Alexis and Anisa participated in GSCCC’s 2026 Legislative Day and had brand new experiences together – including meeting Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger. Her professional background in communications has also shaped her leadership approach within Girl Scouts. Through every role she plays — executive, mentor, mother, and volunteer — Alexis Majied embodies what it means to lead with purpose, heart, and a commitment to empowering others. “The world is increasingly complex, and our girls need support now more than ever,” Alexis shares. “They need strong role models and safe spaces where they can be themselves, without criticism. Girl Scouts helps girls see their own potential and know they’re capable of anything they set their minds to.”

National Delegates from GSCCC joined other Girl Scouts throughout the nation at the 58th National Council Session held in mid-July in Washington D.C. They voted on several national proposals and welcomed new national board members. The session was followed by Girl Scouts Unite, a national convention that was filled with exciting news of programs being launched this fall, exhibits by partner vendors, and so much more. Read about the National Council Session, the proposals voted on, and as well as exciting national news. Highlights from NCS include: • Delegates voted by acclamation to elect the proposed National Board and National Board Development Committee slate for the next triennium. • The Girl Scout Highest Awards Solicitation of Contributions proposal passed as written, allowing councils to establish their own policies and procedures to guide these fundraising efforts if they choose. • The Membership Dues and Procedures for Registration proposal passed as written, allowing dues to increase by up to 15% within a triennium, with continued input from councils and delegates before any change. • Delegates determined the Preservation of Girl Scout Leadership Experience Relating to the Entrepreneurial Program proposal was not in order and removed it from consideration. Girl Scouts Unite filled the week with hands-on activities, educational experiences, and moments of connection across generations. Plenary speakers Tatyana McFadden, Chrissy Teigen, Laurene Powell Jobs, and Rear Admiral Zeita Merchant USCG shared insights on leadership, resilience, and finding your voice, and Gold Award Girl Scouts were celebrated. The 59th National Council Session and Girl Scouts Unite will be hosted in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 2029, home of high speed, big dreams, and tight-knit community. Girl Scouts will fit right in!

Girl Scouts Have Always Made the Environment a Better Place! Providing opportunities and engaging activities – both outdoors and in – to learn about environmental stewardship, conservation, and responsibility is SO Girl Scouts! Whether she’s learning about endangered wildlife, developing creative recycling projects, or working toward a grade-level award, a Girl Scout goes “green” and takes action to make a difference every day.
From Learning Barge to Little Island Park: A Bronze Award Journey Girl Scout Juniors from Troop 948 in Chesapeake were inspired to do a Bronze Award project focused on keeping the environment clean while onboard the Elizabeth River Project’s Learning Barge. This sparked interest led them to partner with Clean Virginia Waterways to identify a local site where they could make a tangible impact. They chose to build and paint a Girl Scout Beach-to-Trail Toy Library at Little Island Park (3820 Sandpiper Rd), located near the Sandbridge Fishing Pier. This toy box serves as a "pay it forward" station. It allows park visitors to reduce, recycle, and reuse plastic toys, preventing them from becoming pollution in our trails, locks, and waterways. Included in the project was a coordinated beach and trail cleanup. By keeping plastic out of the environment, the troop is directly helping to save turtles, fish, and other local wildlife!

GSCCC Earns Community Youth Award
Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast received the River Star Business award at the Achievement Level for helping to improve the health of the Elizabeth River through efforts that reduce pollution, improve flood control, and restoring wildlife habitats. In particular, GSCCC was recognized for powering up GSCCC Tracy Keller accepts with Daisy, our SmartFlower the award from Elizabeth River that produces clean energy Project Deputy Director and avoids emissions annually. 2026 World Global Summit Global Citizen Summit Four Girl Scouts and two adults from GSCCC participated in the 2026 Girl Scout Global Citizen Summit in Washington, DC in July. They were among 100 girls to participate and collaborate with other Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from Girl Scouts overseas and international organizations within the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). They engaged in dynamic global citizenship and leadership activities, and worked with mentors, facilitators and speakers from several partners including the United Nations! The group will be preparing presentations and sharing what they learned and expand upon their passion for global sisterhood with GSCCC members this fall! Global Action Activity Guide for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors
Make a Global Goals Paper Chain (taken from the Activity Guide) In this activity, you will make a paper chain to represent the 17 global goals. You will need safety scissors, tape, paper, and pen. With adult help, cut out 17 paper chain strips of equal size. Before taping the chain together, pick one or two of the goals you might have an idea to reach. Then write what you would do on the back of the paper chain. For example, for “climate action,” you might write, “I will turn off the faucet when I’m brushing my teeth to help save water.” When you are finished making your chain, share it with friends or members in the troop and add their chains to make a even longer one! Hang it in a special place to remind you of your commitments.
Girl Scout Tree Promise We are heading to the end of the Girl Scout Tree Promise five-year program. Started in 2021, Girl Scouts partnered with the American Forests to plan, protect and honor 5 million trees by the end of 2026. There's still time to earn the Tree Promise patch. Did you know that all over the world in parks and forests, climate change is damaging the ability of forests to grow back on their own? Come to a free event in Chesapeake to Celebrate Trees on September 26 from noon until 4 p.m. at the Chesapeake Arboretum, 624 Oak Grove Rd., for a fun, interactive event. Activities will include tree climbing demonstrations, interactive butterfly exhibit, forest bathing, tree trail tours, food truck, giveaways and more. What's Rallyhood? It's all Good! Rallyhood is a wonderful way to see everything Girl Scouts has going on within our Council. Think of it as an exclusive, “Girl Scouts only” app, similar to Facebook, but designed just for our community! The Rallyhood platform is built of individual sites, called Rallies, which are organized into groups called Hubs. Our Council-Wide Hub is your go-to spot for important updates and exciting opportunities for all Girl Scouts and caregivers. Here you’ll find information like Fall Product program dates, Camp Early Bird registration, community service projects, contests, new programs, and more. Within the Council-Wide Hub, you’ll discover a variety of Rallies dedicated to specific activities and programs. These Rallies make it easy to find opportunities your Girl Scout will love, while helping ensure nothing gets missed! Some examples of Rallies include the Cooking Club, Fall Product and Cookie Program, Retail Shop, and Highest Awards. In addition to Council-hosted Rallies, troops and service units all have their own Rallies, too. Troop Rallies are an incredibly helpful tool for staying organized without juggling endless texts and emails. Troop leaders can: • Post meeting dates and activities on the calendar • Create snack or volunteer sign-ups • Share reminders and updates Everything your family needs to know, what to bring, when to show up, and what’s coming next, is all in one place. Plus, if there’s ever a last-minute change, leaders can quickly post an update so everyone is informed right away. Rallyhood also sends a daily digest email whenever there’s new activity in your Rallies. Instead of multiple messages, you’ll get one convenient summary with: • New posts from your Rallies • Direct links to learn more • Upcoming events and reminders from your calendar Rallyhood makes it easier than ever to stay informed, involved, and connected throughout your Girl Scout journey. Designed to make earning a Girl Scout badge stress-free, the Badge-in a-Box program is curated to include almost everything you need to complete a badge with easy to follow instructions, supplies, and even ways to make the experience girl-led! Volunteers can order multiple kits for their troop or individuals can order kits for their girl. You can enjoy the activities at home, during a troop meeting in-person, or even during a virtual troop meeting. STEPS TO EARN THIS PATCH: 1. With your troop, family, or friends, talk about environmental issues that are important to you. Some ideas include reducing pollution, protecting wildlife, restoring habitats, etc. 2. Determine a way to be kind to the environment. You could pick up litter, create wildlife habitats, or plant native plants! There may also be environmental organizations with ideas about how to help locally. Do something that is accessible to you and helps with the issue you discussed in Step 1. 3. Rally your team! Work with your troop, family, or friends to organize the time to work on your selected project. See below for some councilsponsored events that can qualify as well. a. Don’t forget that Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors can log their hours for a Community Service Bar. After they have 20 hours of service, a form will need to be filled out, find it on the Awards and Scholarship page of the GSCCC website. b. Be sure take photos! Please email them to customercare@gsccc.org and we may share them on our website or social media. 4. Use what you learned about your selected issue to encourage others to be kind to the environment. You could give a presentation to a class at school, ask to hang up a poster at your local library, or share what you learned with family members. 5. To claim your patch, fill out the post-program survey. Spread Kindness projects should be completed October through December 2026. Surveys will be collected through January 2027, patches will be ordered by January 31, and we anticipate patches being delivered by the end of February (whoever submits the survey will be notified). Patches can be picked up at A Place for Girls in Chesapeake or from your service unit volunteers depending on your selection on the survey. Find all the details at gsccc.org/kindness

This patch program gets Girl Scouts to step into the spotlight and work alongside leaders at their adopted school as they spread the word about Girl Scouting while making the world a better place.
As School Champions, Girl Scouts will build leadership and marketing skills, grow their confidence by learning how to communicate like professionals, and make a positive impact in their community.
Incentives • Each participating girl will receive the School Champions patch! • Each troop that completes all three steps by November 20, 2026 will be entered into a drawing for a $100 program credit; three troops will be chosen as winners!
Get Started Adopt and claim your school by posting the following on your Service Unit’s Rally on Rallyhood: • Your Troop # • Number of participating Girl Scouts • Name of School you are adopting
Get Connected Connect with the school principal and the school’s PTA president or parent liaison to find out how you can get involved, such as helping with a school carnival or holding a flag ceremony for a PTA meeting. Then, ask the principal if you can do any of the following: • Post a “School adopted by…” yard sign in front of the school. • Place a Girl Scout informational poster in the lobby or main entrance. • Create a bulletin board somewhere in the school to promote Girl Scouts. (GSCCC will provide troops with a bag of marketing supplies and official School Adoption sign.)
