Richard's journey to becoming an English teacher began with his own experiencelearningSpanish."Iwasin aclassexactlylikemine,"herecalls."I became good friends with my classmatesandteacher,andwhenIwentto Spain,Isawhowmuchfuntheteachershadintheirjobs.Thatinspiredme todothesamebutinEnglish."

Richard's empathy for his students stemsfromhisownlanguagelearning experience. He understands the challengestheyface,particularlywithpronunciation and the unique Australian accent. "Pronunciation can be quite hardforthem,"headmits,"buthaving a small class allows us to customize the learning experience for each student.Intraditionalclasses,thefocusisoften on grammar, but in our small classes, students get more opportunities to speak andbeheard."

Richard sees many advantages in small class sizes. "In a traditional class, not everyone gets the attention they need. In small classes, we can tailor the lessons to each student's needs, making learning fasterandmoreeffective."

Richardenjoysincorporatinghisstudents' interests into his lessons. For example, he oncededicatedaclasstothethemeof�ishing because it was one of his student's birthdaysandhewantedtomaketheclass special. His ability to make learning relevant and fun is one of his greatest strengths.Outsideofteaching,Richardenjoys �ishing, hiking, and playing golf. He also has strong skills in programming. At home, he shares his space with a big, naughtyGreatDanesandaBullArabdog.

Melania Ciorciari

Melania is a graphic designer from Argentina who decided to study in Australia to improve her Englishandseizenewprofessionalopportunities.“I havestudiedEnglishformanyyears,”shesays,“but thisparticularyear,Itooktheopportunity to come to Australia and live this international experience. It's something I wishIhaddoneearlier.”

Melania's journey is particularly inspiring because she dared to take this step despite the challenges she might face. “ManypeopleaskedwhyI decided to come to study English in Australia at myage,butIwouldhighlyrecommendit to anyone,” she shares. Melania organised her life meticulously to make this move possible without leaving anything behind.“Atmyage,Ifeelmorecomfortable in small groups. My agent recommendedthiscollege,Ilikethelocation,I appreciatethegymaccess,andIlikethe personalisedandfriendlyattention.”She loves living on the Gold Coast for its beautiful climate and nature. “Australia is the perfect combination of advanced infrastructure and the warmth of the people,”shenotes.

Her experience has not only improved her language skills but also deepenedherempathyandunderstanding as a mother. “This experience has helpedmerelatetomychildrenwholive here. When they shared their experiencesofmovingtoanewcountry,Inowunderstand them much better because I am living it too. It's aboutbeingbraveandputtingintheefforttolearn aboutwhatyouareinterestedin”.
