7) Gage Weston (12) is a senior on the soccer team. When asked how he felt during the Joplin game Weston said “ I felt very calm and composed during the game and felt we played as a team pretty well.” Reflecting on Westons senior year a favorite memory is “ going down St. Louisand Kansas City and staying the night in the hotel.” A current goal for Weston is to win districts again, and see how far we can make it post season.”

5) Kruse Mitchell (11) surveys the field during a rainy match. Before a game, Mitchell said he gets himself into a headspace to play with music. “Usually, I’ve already watched film on the team, so I already know some of their strengths. I like to zone in and work on getting to that point of beating them.” Kruse when asked about his favorite memory states “Beating SLU on a game-winning penalty”. Kruse feels the energy on the team is electric and inspiring.

Built on Memories,

For the seniors of the Glendale Boys Soccer Team, the 2025 season is the result of a mission which began freshmen year.. Greyson Stenger (12) mentioned that the main difference he has seen is the team dynamic.“The grade levels were split up,” Stenger said. “If you were a freshman then you hung with the freshman and nobody had a say.” Now, Stenger said the team operates like a family working together to improve.

“Although there is still seniority and you have to respect that, the seniors always take the underclassmen’s opinions into consideration and we listen to them, unlike before,” Stenger said. Karsten Stack (12), said that bond has translated into on-field results.

“Overtime, we’ve been able to grow in confidence and believe in ourselves more,” Stack said.
