More Than Fall Festivites

The Falcons focused on one goal this season: a discrict championship. Despite early setbacks like Cash Newberry’s (12) injury, the team showed resilience and strong leadership. Cach Tristan emphasized mental toughness and steady growth, aiming to peak by Week 10. Key win - especially over rival Kikapoo - highlight the team’s progress. With unity, focus, and determination, the Falcons built a season defined by grit and growth.

Glendales Homecoming was filled with excitement and energy as students and staff celebrated together. Homecoming queen, Kenzie St. Clair (12) and queen candidates Aden Brown (12), Maddy Denney (12) felt honored and thrilled to be chosen for court. English teacher Alee Money enjoyed chaperoning, calling homecoming her favorite dance, and students like Malique Fredrick (12) loved the crowd, saying the best part was when “everyone is having fun.”

Glendale Cheerleaders started training in July and returned to competition under new coaches, winning 1st at a 5A Large competition and 2nd at regionals. Samantha Harnden (12) said, “We want people who are going to be committed to the team and confident,” while Gwendolyn Denny (9) added, “One of the biggest keys to success is being coachabble.” Coaches emphasize patience, adaptability, and organization as they guide the team.

Glendales Marching Band thrives on teamwork and passion. Jaxon Parrish (12) “I’ve played percussion since 6th grade, the people there are super nice, and it’s a good community. It helped me before I came to high school to get to know the people here and what it’s like.” On top of the Marching Band being a supportive group, it is also a team effort.

(2) The Glendale Girls Gold team has had a strong start, placing 2nd at the Lady Laker Invitational with 340 shots. Seniors aim to leave the lasting impact while players focus on enjoying the game, supporting each other, and staying persistent despite challenges.

(3) The Glendale Boys Soccer Team ended an 11-year grought with a dramatic win over St. Louis University High School. Senior Grayson Singer (12) called the victory the highlight of his four years, praising the teams growth and strong dynamic. As his final season concludes, singer hopes to stay confident, enjoy the game, and finish proud of the teams achievements.
