Lo Wrestling is not just a sport but a test of strategy and determination. This year, our wrestling team has demonstrated incredible strength on the mat, overcoming their opponents and claiming titles. Donnell says his favorite part about being a coach is “ Being around the wrestlers and watching them go out and compete.”
One accomplishment this season was claiming 2nd place in the Clition tournament as a team and having 7 of our wrestlers leave as medalists. The team has welcomed two new members, Shawn Lang (12) and Chance Hensley (12), and aims to send multiple qualifiers to the state competition this year.

Reed Jackson ( 11 ) is a starting Glendale varsity wrestling team member. He has dedicated his entire life to wrestling, showing determination and commitment. Jackson looks forward to “traveling around and beating opponents.” Last season, he came very close to reaching the state championship, falling short by one match.

Lyla Smith is a passionate junior wrestler at Glendale High School, known for her fierce determination and competitive spirit. This marks her fourth year in the sport, having started in eighth grade and continuing through various school programs. Wrestling has been a great experience for Lyla, helping her build confidence and resilience.
