The fork design helps keep the front end composed over variable road surfaces. A wide tire clearance of 43mm (8mm more than the Specialized Allez Comp) lets you run high-volume tires for a more composed and efficient ride on everything from smooth roads to light gravel. The Giant P-AR wheels have an all-rounder rim depth of 23mm and robust aluminum construction that's lightweight and strong for everyday use across variable road surfaces. And the hookless-compatible 32mm Giant Gavia Fondo 2 tires come set up tubeless from the factory.
The cockpit setup features internally routed cables running through the Contact AeroLight stem and frameset to further reduce wind drag and create a clean, modern look. Add double-butted tubing, FluidForm shaping and Smooth Weld technology to the frameset, and Contend AR delivers the sleek profile of a modern road bike with the range to go well beyond where the pavement ends.
