ENGINEERED FOR PROGRESS

Every innovation begins with a purpose— to create a bike that responds to the way women ride and race. The new Pique range brings that vision to life through deliberate design and uncompromising detail. From the precise carbon layup of the Advanced SL Composite frame to the reengineered FlexPoint Pro Suspension that maximizes efficiency and control, every element works together as one intelligent system. The result is technology that doesn’t just make the bike faster—it makes you stronger, more confident, and ready to take on more.

From the tarmac to the trail. The most advanced carbon we’ve ever built — now redefining off-road performance.

For the first time, Liv’s most advanced carbon technology makes the leap from road and triathlon to the trail. The same Professional Grade composite and one-piece molding techniques used to build the Langma—Liv’s flagship road racing frame—now form the foundation of the Pique Advanced SL and Pique X Advanced SL. Together, these advances deliver Liv’s highest standard in stiffness-to-weight engineering: light, precise, and incredibly strong.

Unlike many brands that reserve their highest-grade carbon for a single flagship model, Liv delivers its best to every rider. Every Pique Advanced SL and Pique X Advanced SL frame is built from the same Professional Grade carbon—no downgrades, no compromises. Whether you’re racing World Cups or pushing personal limits on your home trails, you ride with the same technology trusted by the pros.

THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND THE PERFORMANCE

MATERIALS

Professional Grade raw carbon fiber is engineered in Giant Group’s composite factory to achieve one of the highest stiffness-to-weight ratios in the cycling industry today.

RESIN SYSTEM

Our Professional Formula resin features Carbon Nanotube Technology (CNT)—microscopic polymers that reinforce the composite structure like internal supports. Frames using CNT are up to 14% more impact-resistant than standard composite frames.

ONE-PIECE MOLDING

A single-bladder construction process forms the front triangle as one continuous piece. This eliminates internal seams and excess material, reducing overall frame weight while maintaining exceptional torsional stiffness and ride precision.

COLD-BLADE CUTTING

Each carbon swatch is cold-cut for unmatched accuracy. Unlike traditional laser-cutting, this process prevents heat deformation and ensures tighter tolerances. The process results in fewer, more precise pieces for a lighter, more uniform final structure.

CONTINUOUS FIBER TECHNOLOGY

This advanced layup method allows the front triangle to be built using larger, continuous sections of composite material. With fewer joints and junctions, the frame achieves higher strength and lower overall weight.

Smarter. Lighter. More capable.

FlexPoint Pro is Liv’s next-generation rear suspension system—lighter, more efficient, and more responsive than before. Reengineered for both XC racers and trail riders, its single-pivot layout isolates the rear shock from frame flex and other uncontrolled forces, ensuring consistent suspension performance and easier setup. The result is a system that stays fully active under power, delivering smoother control and better traction across every climb and descent. Combined with Liv’s Advanced SL-grade composite frame, it forms the core of the new Pique platform—faster, smoother, and sharper everywhere you ride.

KEY BENEFITS

ULTRA-SMOOTH ACTION

This linkage-driven, single-pivot system produces consistent damping and spring performance throughout its travel. The reengineered kinematics use a lower initial leverage ratio to create a firmer pedaling platform that wastes no watts under power—without compromising small-bump sensitivity. The result is efficient acceleration, smooth traction, and active control across rough terrain.

HOW IT WORKS

SUPERLIGHT XC PERFORMANCE LESS IS MORE

By eliminating the lower rocker arm and using a single full-composite upper rocker arm, FlexPoint Pro saves significant weight over traditional dualrocker designs. Working with suspension partners Fox and RockShox, Liv optimized lightweight, compact shock bodies to complement the system’s 120mm (Pique Advanced SL) or 130mm (Pique X Advanced SL) front suspension for perfectly balanced performance across XC and downcountry terrain.

The minimal flexing action of the chainstay/seatstay junction creates a ground-tracking, fully active system with fewer complex pivots, linkages and additional frame reinforcements. This makes it a durable system that requires less maintenance.

01 — NO MECHANICAL REAR PIVOT POINT02 — LINKAGE-DRIVEN SINGLE PIVOT 03 — COMPOSITE SWINGARM

The full-composite swingarm, combined with our robust main pivot and Advanced Forged Composite linkage, delivers 120mm of rear-wheel travel. This patented design controls the swingarm’s flexing action to minimize unwanted influence under compression, making FlexPoint Pro the most active and lightweight XC suspension system available.

The refined leverage curve isolates the shock from unwanted frame forces. That means less pedal feedback, minimal brake influence, and a smoother, more predictable suspension feel from start to finish.

Superlight rear swingarm, made from our Advanced-grade composite, minimizes frame deformation—lab tests show up to eight times less compared to conventional single-pivot designs. This results in improved small-bump compliance, consistent damping, and better energy transfer for efficient climbing and descending.

While there are many flexing rear suspension designs on the market, none deliver the patented performance of FlexPoint Pro.

OTHERS

In most flex-based single-pivot systems, as the swingarm moves in its initial range, frame deformation immediately occurs, introducing spring forces from the frame’s chainstays and seatstays. Deeper into the travel, deformation continues and uncontrolled spring forces increase. This translates into both the shock and the frame providing unwanted suspension resistance. In summary, both the frame and shock are resisting travel. While the shock is custom-tuned to provide controlled performance, the frame is not—so it cannot provide controlled resistance.

FlexPoint Pro’s engineered kinematics keep deformation minimal throughout suspension travel. Uncontrolled spring forces are extremely low and occur only at the midpoint of travel, allowing the suspension elements to remain isolated. With no added “spring-ramp” effect from the frame, small-bump sensitivity improves dramatically. In summary, the frame provides minimal resistance throughout its travel, while the shock is isolated to provide controlled resistance—exactly what gives XC riders a higher level of performance in demanding situations.

BUILT FOR PROGRESS

At Liv, progress isn’t just designed—it’s proven. The new Pique Advanced SL embodies our belief that when we build better bikes, riders can build themselves. To validate every improvement, Liv engineers measured performance across four key areas: weight, stiffness, efficiency, and system integration. The results speak for themselves.

Compared to its predecessor, the Pique Advanced 29, and benchmarked against the Specialized S-Works Epic 8, the Pique Advanced SL delivers measurable gains in every category—confirming what you feel the moment you hit the trail.

TESTING RESULTS >

WEIGHT COMPARISON

RESULTS

//

The new Pique Advanced SL outperforms its predecessor by shedding 85.1 grams , while also coming in 66.8 grams lighter than the current Specialized S-Works Epic 8.

Weight savings were achieved through two major innovations:

Advanced SL Composite Technology: For the first time in Liv’s off-road lineup, our highest-grade carbon construction is used across every model of the Pique Advanced SL series. Using a higher modulus carbon fiber, Carbon Nanotube Technology (CNT) resin, and one-piece molding techniques, the frame achieves exceptional stiffness-to-weight and impact strength while minimizing excess material.

Reengineered FlexPoint Pro Suspension: A more compact, integrated design with fewer parts and a full-composite rocker arm reduces overall frame weight while maintaining stiffness and small-bump sensitivity.

STIFFNESS COMPARISON

TESTING METHOD:

Conducted using industry-standard protocols with size Medium frames, steering and pedaling stiffness were measured with a steel dummy fork to ensure consistent, real-world accuracy.

Each frame was fixed at the rear dropouts while lateral force was applied to the fork to measure torsional flex. Higher stiffness means more precise handling, better cornering, and more efficient power transfer.

RESULTS // While stiffness compared to the previous Pique Advanced 29 remains nearly identical, the gains over the current Specialized S-Works Epic 8 are substantial. The new Pique Advanced SL delivers 9% greater transmission stiffness , giving racers instant power transfer when charging up climbs, driving through corners, and sprinting for the finish line.

FRAME EFFICIENCY: Frame-level efficiency measures how well stiffness is balanced against frame weight – a key indicator of realworld speed and acceleration. Increased frame stiffness means better power transmission enabling the rider to reach and maintain higher speeds with less effort. The combination of lower weight and higher stiffness adds up to superior overall efficiency.

SYSTEM EFFICIENCY | FRAME + WHEEL INTEGRATION

Real-world performance comes from how the entire system works together. Liv engineers tested complete setups — frame, drivetrain, and wheels— to measure total transmission stiffness and deformation under load.

The results shown reflect the performance of the Pique Advanced SL SE, 0, and 1 models equipped with the Giant XCR WheelSystem—the specific configuration tested. They exemplify Liv’s intentional system integration approach, where the frame, suspension, and wheels are engineered as one cohesive performance platform. While results vary by specification, every model in the Pique Advanced SL range benefits from this same integrated design philosophy to deliver maximum stiffness, responsiveness, and real-world race-day efficiency.
