Es un verdadero honor recibirlos en esta hermosa Isla del Caribe Mexicano, un lugar donde la naturaleza, la hospitalidad y la pasión por el deporte se unen para crear experiencias inolvidables. Cozumel los recibe con los brazos abiertos, con el azul turquesa de su mar, la calidez de su gente y la energía que distingue a nuestra comunidad. RECOJA SU PAQUETE DE CARRERA EN 4 SENCILLOS PASOS

Paso 1. Encuentre su nombre y número de dorsal en el muro de participantes registrados. Los números de dorsal también están disponibles después de completar el check-in previo a la carrera de GFNY en línea a las gfny.cc. Paso 2. Diríjase a su puesto de recogida de paquetes correspondiente, que está identificado por su número de dorsal, para recoger su paquete de carrera, jersey y bolsa de regalos. Paso 3. Firme su nombre en el muro de registro tradicional de GFNY Cozumel y tome una foto de My Goal Time. Paso 4. Disfrute de la exposición GFNY Cozumel y de todos los juguetes geniales de bicicletas en exhibición. GFNY Cozumel EXPO es el lugar para recoger el número de carrera, el chip de cronometraje, la pulsera, la camiseta y la bolsa de regalos. La pulsera sirve como acceso a los corrales de carreras, estaciones de ayuda, área de recuperación y un boleto de comida gratis en el área de recuperación de pasta. -Placa de matrícula de bicicleta con chip de cronometraje y bridas que debe colocar en la parte delantera de su bicicleta. -Número de dorsal con imperdibles para sujetar al bolsillo trasero de su jersey. El número de dorsal también identificará su bicicleta y equipaje facturados. -Jersey GFNY Cozumel 2025. -Revista GFNY Cozumel Race 2025. -Calcomanía de perfil de ruta 2025. -Botella de agua Elite de 800 ml

Después de recibir su paquete, verifique que toda su información personal sea correcta. Sí, el uso de la pulsera es obligatorio. Se colocará en su muñeca cuando venga a recoger su paquete de carrera en la exposición y debe mantenerlo puesto hasta que abandone el área de meta al final del evento. La pulsera le identifica como participante y le da acceso a los avituallamientos, zona de pasta, zona VIP y muestra a la policía y al personal que eres participante. P: ¿Puedo comprar el bib short con tirantes a juego y otras prendas de GFNY Cozumel en la exposición? Sí, tenemos una cantidad limitada de ropa y accesorios de GFNY México disponibles para su compra en la exposición previa a la carrera. Las cantidades son limitadas y se venden por orden de llegada. PICK UP YOUR RACE PACKET IN 4 EASY STEPS Step 1. Find your name and bib number on the registered participant wall. Bib numbers are also available after completing the online GFNY pre-race check-in at gfny.cc. Step 2. Go to your corresponding packet pick up stand which is identified by your bib number to pick up your race packet, jersey and goodie bag. Step 3. Sign your name on the traditional GFNY Cozumel sign-in wall and take a My Goal Time photo. Step 4. Enjoy the GFNY Cozumel expo and all the cool bike toys on exhibition. GFNY Cozumel EXPO is the location for race number, timing chip, wristband, jersey and goodie bag pick up. Advance pick up of your race material is mandatory. In order to check in please bring your government issued photo id and email confirmation. Packet pickup can only be done in person. Please note that there is no registration or packet pickup on Sunday race day. THE EXPO IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Wristband which will be attached to your wrist at packet pick up and must be kept on until the end of the race. The wristband serves as your access to the race corrals, aid stations, recovery area and a free meal ticket at the pasta recovery area. Bike number plate with timing chip and zip ties that you must attach to the front of your bike. Bib number with safety pins to attach to the back pocket of your jersey. The bib number will also identify your checked bike and bag. 2025 GFNY Cozumel jersey. 2025 GFNY Cozumel Race magazine. 2025 Course Profile Sticker. Elite 800ml water bottle

After you receive your packet, double check that all your personal information is correct. If you have any information changes like updating emergency contact info or changing your team name, please go to the DATA CHANGE / REGISTRATION stand. The jersey is mandatory attire for the race. You will receive the jersey size that’s marked on your envelope, which is the size you selected during registration. If your jersey doesn’t fit then you may go over to the Jersey Exchange area to see If they have another size available. Jersey are supposed to fit tight. Next you will enter the GFNY Cozumel boutique & expo area where you will see a large selection of cycling vendors and toys.

18 Q: How do the jerseys fit? The GFNY Cozumel jerseys are standard European/race cut, and therefore more fitted in the torso than typical American size. We suggest ordering 1 size larger if you usually wear American-cut jerseys. Here is the size chart: http://gfny.com/sizechart.jpg Q: What if the jersey size I selected doesn’t fit me? Can I exchange my jersey? We have a limited quantity of jerseys available for exchange. If you find the jersey size you ordered is the wrong size, go to the JERSEY EXCHANGE stand and request the size you’re looking for. We may not have the exact size you need to swap to, but we’ll do our best to get a jersey size as close to your exchange size as possible. Q: The waiver asks for my race number. How can I find out my race number before the expo? You can get your race number by completing the online GFNY pre-race check-in from your personal GFNY account. Q: Do I have to wear the wristband? Yes, wearing the wristband is mandatory. It will be attached to your wrist when you come to pick up your race packet at the expo and you must keep it on until you leave the Finish area at the end of the event. The wrist band identifies you as a participant and gives you access to the aid stations, pasta area, VIP area as well as shows the police and staff that you are a participant. Q: Can I buy the matching bib shorts and other GFNY Cozumel apparel at the expo? Yes, we have a limited quantity of GFNY Mexico apparel and accessories available for purchase at the pre-race expo. The quantities are limited and sold on a first-come- first-serve basis. If you are worried about item availability, we recommend ordering online in our online shop, http://www.gfnymexico.com/ or coming to the expo early on Friday to have the greatest selection and size availability. The online store will close 2 weeks before GFNY Cozumel to prepare for the race and opening of the boutique at the expo. Q: Will there be mechanics at the Race Packet Pick Up and Expo to put my bike together or minor mechanical repairs? Yes, Shimano will have a team of mechanics right outside the expo ready to help with any mechanical needs or to put your bike together from your trip. Q: My schedule changed and I can’t come to Cozumel. Can my friend pick up my goodie bag for me? Yes. Send an email to your friend, authorizing them to pick up your goodie bag, along with a copy of your photo ID. TEAM COMPETITION Individuals can register as members of a team to take part in the GFNY Cozumel team competition. The four fastest times from a team will be added and ranked to determine the fastest team. The podium 4-person teams will be awarded prizes. Every finisher either long or middle distance receives a GFNY Cozumel finisher medal. Every podium winner must wear the winners jersey while on the podium which will be handed to you before you enter the podium.

HIM & HER CATEGORY A female and male rider of the same Him & Her team have to cross the finish line within thirty seconds of each other. Because it’s tough to find two riders of the same ability and fitness, pushing, pulling, dragging, encouraging, shouting and any other means of working together is allowed. The Him & Her team competition consists of two age categories: sub90 and 90+ years old combined. Members of Him & Her teams are not eligible for individual age group prizes because rider assistance between the team members in this category is permitted and encouraged.

EMPACA TU CÁMARA DE REPUESTO, CO2 Y PALANCAS DE LLANTAS: Lo decimos una y otra vez, aprende a cambiar tus propias cámaras y lo pasarás mucho mejor. Empaca todo el equipo necesario para reparar una pinchadura durante la ruta por ti mismo y ahorrarás un tiempo valioso.

EMPACA TU NUTRICIÓN DE CARRERA: No hay alimentos ni bebidas disponibles durante el inicio matutino de la carrera, por lo que es mejor empacar algunos geles y bocadillos que duren al menos la primera hora de carrera. Hay 8 avituallamientos en el recorrido para los 160 km, pero si puedes meter algunos geles en el bolsillo de tu jersey, no tendrás que parar tan a menudo.

PUT YOUR BIB NUMBER ON THE BACK POCKETS OF YOUR RACE JERSEY. Attach the bib number on your non- dominant side. If you’re right-handed, attach the bib number to your left and center pockets.

ATTACH THE BIKE CHIP PLATE TO THE FRONT OF YOUR HANDLEBARS. Make sure the Bike Plate is attached to the front handlebar of the bike with the supplied zip ties and are tight and secure to your bike. If your bike computer prevents you from putting the bike plate directly on the bar, the bike plate should be placed facing forward, under the computer.

GO TO A MECHANIC AND GET A FULL TUNE-UP: There’s nothing worse than not being able to start a race because of a mechanical. Make sure before you travel to take your bike to a mechanic who can check your bike and make all the necessary adjustment. It’s a small price to pay and you’ll be happy you won’t get stuck on the side of the road in Cozumel waiving for a mechanic.

CHECK YOUR TIRES: Check your tires for holes, glass, or overall wear and tear. If you have any of the above it’s better to get new tires and avoid a flat on the GFNY Cozumel course.

PACK YOUR SPARE TUBE, CO2, AND TIRE LEVERS: We say this again and again learn how to change your own tires and you’ll have a much better time. Pack all the necessary equipment to change a flat by yourself on the course and you’ll save valuable time.

PACK YOUR RACE NUTRITION: There is no food or drinks available during the morning start of the race so it’s better to pack some gels and snacks that will last at least for the first hour of racing. There are 8 aid stations on the course for the 160KM but if you can pack some gels into your jersey pocket then you won’t need to stop and refuel so often.

PLAN YOUR RACE MORNING: We recommend that you arrive to the start line by 5:00am to get a good position in your starting corral. This will give you enough time to go to the bathroom, clear security, do a final bike check and get into your start corral. If you arrive late then you will be placed in the rear corrals by security.

CHECK THE WEATHER FORCAST: Make sure you wear the right gear for the days weather. Cozumel is known for having sudden rain showers so you want to be prepared just in case maybe with a light rain jacket or vest.

El seguimiento comenzará automáticamente el día del evento sin necesidad de iniciar la aplicación. Recuerda llevar tu smartphone durante el viaje. El seguimiento finalizará automáticamente al finalizar el evento.

ZONA DE INICIO El área de inicio abre a las 5:00am., no llegues más tarde de las 6:00 a.m. Tomará tiempo hacer que todos se registren y lleguen a los corrales. El acceso a los Corrales cierra a las 6:30am. Si llegas después de las 6:30am correrás el riesgo de no tener acceso a los corrales y no estar en los resultados. También tiene sus chips de sincronización adjuntos, y los chips de sincronización solo funcionarán si la placa de la bicicleta no se altera y se coloca según las instrucciones. ¡Sin matrícula de bicicleta, sin inicio y sin cronometraje!

48 P: ¿Cómo se organizan los corrales de carreras? Los números de carrera se asignan por tipo de boleto, estado de calificación, grupo de edad y distancia. Puedes comenzar con tus amigos si están asignados al mismo corral de inicio que tú. Si están en un corral de inicio diferente, puedes retroceder para comenzar con ellos, pero no pueden avanzar para unirse a ti. “Saltar” hacia adelante en un corral (comenzando en un corral no asignado a tu número) resultará en una penalización de 10 minutos agregada a tu tiempo de finalización.

P: ¿A qué hora comienza la carrera? La carrera comenzará puntualmente a las 7:00am llueva o truene. Habrá una ceremonia de apertura y una caravana para comenzar la carrera. Habrá una carpa designada con un letrero que dice entrega de equipaje donde podrás entregar tu bolso. Tanto los ciclistas de larga como de media distancia pueden dejar sus maletas allí y recogerlas en el mismo lugar después de la carrera. No dejes ningún objeto de valor en la bolsa porque GFNY Cozumel no se hace responsable de ningún artículo mojado, perdido o robado. Todo debe recogerse en la meta antes de las 4:00pm o se desechará. P: ¿Cómo entro a los corrales de salida? Para ingresar a los corrales de salida deberás pasar por seguridad. Una vez que pases la seguridad, avanzarás hasta que veas la entrada del corral que tiene tu color de corral correspondiente, que es del mismo color que tu brazalete GFNY Cozumel . Ayúdanos a mantener limpia el área de inicio depositando basura en las bolsas atadas a las barricadas que recubren los corrales de salida. Tu chip de cronometraje no comenzará a contar tu tiempo de carrera hasta que tu chip cruce el tapete de cronometraje de la línea de salida. P: Somos parte de un grupo, ¿podemos empezar juntos? Siempre puedes retroceder si quieres empezar con un amigo, pero no más adelante. Si hay varios miembros en su grupo, la persona con el número de dorsal más bajo puede moverse a un corral más atrás. Todos tienen que hacer fila en el corral del miembro del grupo con el número más alto.

50 ¿SE CERRARÁN COMPLETAMENTE LAS CARRETERAS? GFNY Cozumel trabaja con agencias policiales locales, estatales y federales para asegurarse de que La ruta sea segura para todos y moderado por la policía. Moderado por la policía significa que todos los vehículos tendrán que obedecer todas las instrucciones policiales mientras circulan por el recorrido. Las ubicaciones exactas de las estaciones de ayuda se pueden encontrar en el mapa del curso en esta revista. Los avituallamientos contarán con una combinación de todos o algunos de los siguientes productos. • Sport beans • Bebidas deportivas GATORADE • Barritas energéticas • Agua • PEPSI • Varias frutas de temporada • Varios tipos de alimentos envasados del tamaño de un bocado. No hay “alimentación sobre la marcha”. Usa tu botella para rellenar. GFNY Cozumel es un evento ecológico. No proporcionamos vasos ni botellas.

SI NECESITO ASISTENCIA MÉDICA, ¿QUÉ HAGO? Los botiquines médicos estarán disponibles en las estaciones de ayuda, en el campo y de guardia, con ambulancias circulando durante todo el día. Your family and friends can follow you during the race. You are safe because we always know exactly where you are. The app only uses 10% of your battery during the whole race

Tracking will automatically start on the day of the event without the need to launch the app. Remember to carry your smartphone during the ride. The tracking will automatically end at the conclusion of the event.

START AREA The start area opens at 5:00am do not arrive later than 6:00am. It will take time to get everyone checked in and to there corrals. Access to the Corrals closes at 6:30am. If you arrive after 6:30am you will risk not having access to the corrals and not being in the results. The green GFNY Cozumel 2025 jersey that you received at the expo is mandatory attire for GFNY Cozumel participants. Any other GFNY jersey or any other jersey is not permitted and will result in a 10min penalty. Make sure you have your GFNY Cozumel wristband on. It is your all access pass to the GFNY Cozumel start area, aid stations, closed public roads, Post race party, raffles and bike check at the finish. No wristband, no start! Place the bike number plate at the front of your handlebar and attach it with the provided zip ties. Your bike plate identifies you as an official participant to police and GFNY Cozumel staff. It also has your timing chips attached to it, and the timing chips will only work if the bike plate is unaltered and attached as instructed. No bike number plate, no start and no timing!

56 Q: How are the race corrals organized? Race numbers are assigned by ticket type, qualification status, age group and distance. You can start with your friends if they are allocated to the same start corral as you. If they are in a different start corral, you can move back to start with them, but they cannot move forward to join you. “Jumping” forward a corral (starting in a corral not assigned to your number) will result in a 10-minute penalty added to your finish time.

Q: What time does the race start? The race will start at 7:00am promptly rain or shine. There will be an opening ceremony and a lead out caravan to start the race. Expect fast speeds during the start as riders are racing to get into position and form their groups. Q: Should I bring any personal items with me? Make sure to put on sunscreen and eat breakfast in the morning. Bring your ID, cash, credit card, and cell phone with you. Fill up both water bottles and stow some food in your jersey pockets. There will be a snack/coffee station only for VIP participants at the start line. Q: What services are available at the start area? The start area has: bag check, toilets, mechanical service, medical service and the VIP morning tent and area. There will be a designated tent with a sign that says baggage drop where you will be able to hand in your bag. Both Long and Medium distance riders can drop their bags there and pick them up at the same location after the race. Don’t leave any valuables in the bag because GFNY Cozumel is not responsible for any wet, lost or stolen item. Everything must be picked up at the finish by 4:00pm or it will be discarded. Q: How do I enter the starting corrals? To enter the starting corrals you will need to go through security. Once you pass security, you will proceed forward until you see the corral entrance that has your corresponding corral color which is the same color as your GFNY Cozumel bracelet. Please help us keep the start area clean by depositing trash in the bags tied to the barricades lining the start corrals. Your timing chip will not begin counting your race time until your chip crosses the start line timing mat. Q: We are part of a group, can we start together? You can always move further back if you want to start with a friend but not further ahead. If there are several members in your group, the person with the lower bib number can move to a corral further back. Everyone has to line up in the corral of the group member with the highest number.

57 WILL THE ROADS BE FULLY CLOSED? GFNY Cozumel works with local, state and federal police agencies to make sure that the race course is safe for everyone and police moderated. Police moderated means that all vehicles will have to obey all police instructions while riding through the course. Participants however must stay to right of the road and cones at all times to avoid disqualification from the race. IF I HAVE A MECHANICAL ISSUE ON THE COURSE? Riders are expected to know basic repair skills, especially fixing a flat, and must carry a pump, levers, and a spare tube. Shimano support vehicles with mechanics will patrol the course, and transportation is available if repairs cannot be made. However, waiting for help may take time and risks missing the cutoff. To prepare, visit a bike shop, watch tutorials, or ask an experienced friend to learn basic repairs.

DURING THE RACE Where are the aid stations and what can I find there? The long course will have 8 aid stations at kilometer 4, 28, 48, 73, 80, 106, 125 and 151 and the medium course will have 4 aid stations at kilometer 4, 28, 48 and 73. foods. There is no “feeding on the fly”. Use your bottle to refill. GFNY Cozumel is an eco-friendly event. We do not provide cups or bottles.

IF I NEED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE WHAT DO I DO? Medical kits will be available at aid stations, on the course, and on call, with ambulances circulating throughout the day. Police, marshals, and mechanics will patrol on motorcycles and in cars, while officers at intersections and volunteers at turns can also assist. If you need help, inform anyone on the course—they will call assistance and stay with you until it arrives. Help will always be close. IF YOU HAVE A BAD DAY AND REALIZE I WONT BE ABLE TO FINISH, WHAT DO I DO? SAG vehicles will assist riders unable to continue. Try to reach an aid station for food, water, and medical help. If you can’t, move safely to the roadside and wait for SAG or mechanics. If you see another stopped rider, report their location to the next police officer or volunteer. ARE TRIATHLON BIKES OR AERO BARS ALLOWED? For safety reason triathlon bikes or bikes with aero bars are not permitted. Q: THERE WERE PHOTOGRAPHERS ON THE COURSE TAKING MY PICTURE, HOW DO I BUY MY RACE PICTURES? The world’s best participant photo company, Sportograf, is on the course taking your race photos. Shortly after the race your personal photos will be ready for purchase using your bib number.

TIMING GFNY Cozumel is timed from start to finish. Results will be available in your gfny.cc account immediately following the race. You will also be able to see your race results at gfny.cc/results. If you have any questions about your result, please consult with the timers directly at the finish line or via email to mexico@gfny. com. The disposable timing chips are attached to the back of your bike plate. Make sure to attach the bike plate at the front of your bike and not bend your race number so the timing chip is read correctly at the checkpoints along the course. COMPETITION Only the finishers of the long course are eligible for category rankings and Overall and Podium awards. The riders of the medium course will be provided their start-to-finish time but will not be ranked by finish time. All finish times will be listed in alphabetical order. ENVIRONMENT GFNY is committed to protecting the environment. Any discarding of trash or food outside the designated trash receptacles at the aid stations or “eco zones” is prohibited and can lead to a time penalty or disqualification and a lifelong ban at GFNY. 61 ¿CÓMO VUELVO A MI ESTANCIA DESDE EL LUGAR DE LA META? Dependiendo de dónde te alojes, puedes viajar de vuelta o tomar un taxi de vuelta a tu hotel. Habrá un montón de taxis en espera esperando para llevarte de vuelta. Si alquilaste un automóvil y lo estacionaste cerca de la línea de meta, la mayoría de las carreteras secundarias estarán abiertas para que puedas conducir de regreso a tu hotel. NO ME QUEDÉ PARA LA CEREMONIA DE PREMIACIÓN, PERO QUEDÉ ENTRE LOS 3 MEJORES DE MI GRUPO DE EDAD, ¿ME PUEDEN ENVIAR MI PREMIO? No, no enviamos ningún premio por paquetería. Debes estar presente en la ceremonia de entrega de premios para reclamar tu premio. ¿A qué hora empieza la entrega de premios? Habrá dos ceremonias de premiación. La primera comenzará a la 1:00pm para los ganadores absolutos femenino/masculino de la distancia larga. La segunda ceremonia de premiación comenzará a las 2:00 p.m. (tentativamente) para los ganadores de los grupos de edad y categorías de distancia larga. La entrega de premios comenzará en la zona de meta junto al escenario del podio. La entrega de premios es solo para los participantes que completen la distancia larga. La distancia media no es competitiva. Todos los participantes deben verificar sus resultados para ver si obtuvieron una posición en el podio y, de ser así, deben ingresar al área de ganadores que se encuentra en la parte trasera del podio. El área de ganadores es donde todos los ganadores serán llamados al escenario para recibir sus premios y trofeos. ¿Habrá sorteo? Este año se entregarán los premios del sorteo al final de la ceremonia de podio. Para poder participar, primero debes asegurarte de haber completado y depositado tu boleto de rifa durante los días de la expo en los stands de Giant y Shimano. FINISH What happens after I cross the finish line? GFNY Cozumel finishes with spectacular views of the Mexican Caribbean ocean along the oceanfront avenue. The finish line will be the same location as the start area which is across the street from the city hall (Municipio). Long and Medium courses finish in the same location. Make sure to smile once you cross the finish line since Sportograf photographers will be taking pictures of everyone crossing. You will then enter the recovery area and receive your GFNY Cozumel finisher medal and nice selection of fruits, Gatorade, cold water and various snacks to help cool your muscles. Can I get a massage at the finish area? There will be a team of massage therapists at the finish area ready to help relax your muscles after your long day on the saddle. We will also have a team of massage gun therapists walking around offering pistol massages as well.

Where can I find my results? Preliminary race results will be available on the GFNY Mexico app. Make sure to download the app before the race to keep track of family and friends. Is the Pasta Party free to everyone? Yes. All GFNY Cozumel riders receive one free meal with their wristband. Sit back, relax, and listen to live entertainment while enjoying the oceanfront setting as you go over your days achievements and challenges with all your family and friends.

63 HOW DO I GET BACK FROM THE FINISH? Depending where you’re staying you can either ride back or take a taxi back to your hotel. There will be plenty of taxis on standby waiting to take you back. If you rented a car and parked it near the finish line most side roads will be open for you to drive back to your hotel. I DIDN’T STAY FOR THE AWARDS CEREMONY BUT WAS TOP 3 OF MY AGE GROUP CAN YOU MAIL ME MY PRIZE? No, we don’t mail any prizes. You must be present at the awards ceremony to claim your prize.

What time does the awards ceremony start? There will be two awards ceremonies. The first will start at 1pm for the Overall female/male winners of the long distance. The second awards ceremony will start at 2:00pm (tentatively) for the age group & category winners of the long distance. The award ceremony will start at the finish area by the podium stage. The awards ceremony is only for the participants who complete the long distance. The medium distance is non-competitive. All participants must check their results to see if they placed a podium position and if so they must enter the winners area which is located in the rear of the podium. The winners area is where all winners will be called up to the stage to receive your prizes and trophies. Will there be a raffle? This year we will be giving away raffle prizes at the end of the podium ceremony. In order to participate you must first make sure that you filled out and deposited your raffle ticket during the expo days at the Giant and Shimano booths. All participants are able to participate. This years prizes include a Giant bike and Shimano components and much much more. We invite everyone to come and celebrate with us. All participants must be present at the raffle in order to win.

Los finalistas cruzarán la línea de meta alrededor de las 9:15 a.m. Sugerimos que si desea ver a los corredores cruzar la línea de meta, lo haga desde la avenida Rafael E Melgar detrás de las barricadas de la calle. Si desea acercarse a la acción, venga antes y espere detrás de las barricadas de la calle lo más cerca posible del arco de meta. Si vas a tomar un taxi o conducir desde el lado sur de la isla, puedes ir a la Calle 5 con 11 avenida. P. ¿Cuáles son los mejores lugares para ver la carrera en el recorrido? Si se encuentra en la sección norte de la isla, en la intersección de blvd aeropuerto y Rafael E Melgar es un buen giro donde puede ver a los ciclistas pasar. Si quieres ver a los ciclistas correr por el centro de la ciudad, cualquier ubicación en Rafael E Melgar (avenida principal del océano) sería genial para animar a los ciclistas a medida que pasan. SPECTATORS Q. What time will the first riders cross the finish line? The finishers will cross the finish line around 9:15am. We suggest that if you would like to watch racers crossing the finish line to do so from the Rafael E Melgar avenue behind the street barricades. If you would like to get closer to the action then come earlier and wait behind the street barricades as close to the finish arch as you can get. Make sure to arrive early as those spots obviously fill up first. Q. My family would like to follow me in a car is that allowed? The GFNY Cozumel course will be closed to cars and traffic. Only permitted race vehicles will have access to the course with special passes. . Where can spectators park or take a taxi to by the finish area? If you are taking a taxi or driving from the northern side of the island go to calle 10 con 11 avenida, from there you just walk down 11ave to the finish area. If you are taking a taxi or driving from the southern side of the island you can go to Calle 5 con 11 avenida. Q. What are the best spots to watch the race on the course? If you’re located in the northern section of the island then by the intersection of blvd aeropuerto and Rafael E Melgar is a nice turn where you can see the riders race by. If you want to see the riders race through the downtown then any location on the Rafael E Melgar (main ocean avenue) would be great to cheer the riders as they go by as well. From those locations you would still be able to walk to the finish line as long as you leave in time. GET READY TO MAKE SOME NOISE! No matter where you are cheering from make as much noise as you can. GFNY racers love to be cheered and to hear all your excitement.
