Music by Johann Strauss II Libretto by Karl Haffner and Richard Genée Enjoy this archival program from Georgia State University’s production of Die Fledermaus, a sparkling comic operetta filled with wit, mistaken identities, and unforgettable melodies. Performed by the GSU Opera Theater and Orchestras, the production featured a talented cast of student singers and instrumentalists under the direction of faculty artists. This performance also welcomed back guest artist Demetrious Sampson in a special appearance as “Marquis Demetrious Sampson of Houstonia,” adding a delightful touch to an already exuberant staging. Originally presented on April 11 & 12, 2025, at the Florence Kopleff Recital Hall, this production was a highlight of the season, celebrating the charm and enduring popularity of Strauss’s masterpiece.
