Scholarships Georgia Southwestern offers one of the most generous scholarship programs in the state. Beginning freshmen who meet the criteria below have the opportunity to apply for numerous freshmen scholarships. Some scholarships have a deadline of February 1, so we encourage eligible students to apply early. I have always wanted to own my own business, and the Business Management program provided the best opportunity for me to learn how to do that effectively. GSW has helped me grow as a leader and as a student. I’ve been able to step into many leadership positions on campus and start my MBA early.

SOUTHWESTERN PROMISE
Beginning freshmen who live in the designated, local 56-county area and who meet the scholarship criteria are guaranteed a Southwestern Promise Scholarship. Promise students are only required to submit a scholarship application if they wish to apply for additional scholarship programs. gsw.edu/SouthwesternPromise
President Carter Leadership program Inspired by former US President and GSW alumnus Jimmy Carter, this unique honors program hones students’ leadership skills through service and academics. The four-year program consists of two pathways, a Research Track and a Service Track. Application is competitive and has a February 1 deadline. Selected participants receive a $1,500 scholarship. gsw.edu/CarterLeadership
6 states - 1 rate Attend an out-of-state university at the instate rate. Residents of Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee who attend GSW receive a tuition waiver, lowering their total annual cost to approximately $16,000.
Nursing Guaranteed acceptance program GSW’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences offers an excellent opportunity for high school students who are interested in nursing. Eligible seniors may apply for the nursing program while still in high school. Acceptance into this program guarantees students a place in Georgia’s top-ranked nursing program. gsw.edu/GAP
