FROM THE PRESIDENT Happy Summer! The beginning of summer can feel like New Year's Eve to educators, with the freedom and flexibility to reset personal resolutions. I tend to be overly optimistic in my summer goals. Maybe this will finally be the summer when I make it to the gym at 5 a.m., eat more vegetables, read daily, and finish projects around the house? History, however, is not on my side ... No matter your summer resolutions, I hope each of you makes time for yourself this summer. You are important, not just to your friends and family, but to your students and your school community. While you are enjoying your summer, there are students at home who are eager to return to school to see you. They look forward to your class, to make music, to be inspired, to be with friends, and to laugh at your jokes. Let's all resolve to rest and rejuvenate so we can be our best selves for our students in just a couple of months. Best wishes for a safe and happy summer!
