The most influential aspect of the Undergraduate Program at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business is its unique integration of global perspectives with ethical leadership. The program challenges students to think critically about their impact on society. Being in D.C., surrounded by policy, international organizations, and real-world decision-making, reinforced my belief that business can be a force for good. That mission deeply resonated with my values and longterm goals.

Georgetown’s emphasis on cura personalis — care for the whole person — continues to shape how I navigate my career. It taught me to measure success not just by results but by the good you create along the way. Within just a few months of joining my company, I have taken an active role in advancing our social impact initiatives, and I am proud to carry forward Georgetown's commitment to being men and women for others.

My professors are what made Georgetown McDonough so special. They were not only highly respected in their fields but also served as mentors and friends. They were always accessible, whether to discuss class projects, offer career guidance, or simply to check in about life. I am extremely grateful to have had them shape my academic journey.

Georgetown played a pivotal role in shaping my career path. McDonough’s core curriculum allowed me to explore a wide range of industries and functions, ultimately helping me find the right fit in finance and international business. Just as important was the access I had to an incredibly generous alumni network, as many were eager to offer advice and talk candidly about their careers. These conversations, combined with faculty support and peer mentorship, played a huge role in securing both my internship and fulltime offer at Boston Consulting Group.

“ The McDonough Career Center was very helpful because it employs a group of students as Peer Career Advisors (PCAs) who offer advice and share their experience navigating the recruitment process. This was a great resource; they helped me determine my career path and stay as up-todate as possible. Because of this program, I decided to become a PCA myself to give back to the Georgetown community, having benefited from it so much already.
“ Georgetown McDonough's strong international orientation fundamentally shaped the way I approach business and problem-solving. Through courses, as well as the Global Business Fellows program, I developed a deeper understanding of how global markets interact and how companies adapt their strategies across regions. This exposure proved invaluable when exploring consulting opportunities. It also strengthened my interest in working across Latin America and the United States, where I can apply both my cultural background and my global business training.

With a personalized approach to career development for students and alumni, the McDonough Career Center empowers individuals to build successful and meaningful careers.

The Georgetown alumni network is impressive, and the vast majority of alumni I reached out to for advice or insights gladly took time out of their busy days to hop on the phone with me. I also used many of the resources that the McDonough Career Center offered, including recruiting guides, networking advice, mentor connections, interview practice, and more. Simply put, Georgetown provided access to jobs to which I otherwise would not have been able to apply.

To support the advancement of women in the workplace, McDonough launched the Kosoy Women in Business program in Fall 2024. Made possible by the generosity of Brian and Andrea Kosoy (P’25), this initiative provides transformational leadership development, skill-building, and growth opportunities for undergraduate students. During the fall semester, the cohort participated in workshops, speaker series, site visits, professional dinners, and other immersive experiences led by top business executives. The program addressed key topics such as self-advocacy, negotiation, and personal finance, equipping students with practical tools to navigate challenges women commonly face in business.
