Earlyin2022,CollegeBoardannouncedthatitwouldoffer thetestsdigitallyintheU.S.startingin2023and2024. KDCollegePrepfinalizes instructionalchangestoprepare studentsforthemigrationofCollege Board'sPSATandSATteststoa newdigitalformatnextyear.
Inadditiontoformatchanges,adjustmentsintestcontentcould posesignificantchallengesforstudents. ScoringonboththePSATandthe SATtestswillremainthesame, althoughCollegeBoardwillreduce thelengthoftheSATtestby approximatelyanhour.
Thenewdigitalformatwillalsobeadaptive,meaningit willvaryfromstudenttostudent. Afterastudenthasfinishedthefirst module,oneoftwopotentialsecondstagemoduleswillappearbasedon thenumberofquestionsthestudent answerscorrectlyinitially.
ThenewSATtestformatwillstillfeatureaverbalandamathsection. Theverbalsectionwillhaveshorterreadingpassageswithasingle questionaftereach. Withlessquestions,studentswill relymoreontest-takingstrategies tofindthecorrectanswerontime.
