Single Serve Packaging is Packaging that delivers a product as a single serve food, beverage or single use item that is can also bought in packs that contain multiple servings of the same product.
Included in the concept proposal should be: the single serve packet, a pack containing multiple units of the single serve packet and well as the shipper or transit carton.

I have decided to design my packaging for one of South Africa’s leading tea brand, Five Roses. Specifically they’re Fruit Flavoured Infusions range
I will have every tea bag in an envelope and each teabag will be tagged with a tag I designed.
Therefore I will be designing a tag for each flavour, an envelope for each flavour and a box that holds all the envelopes in store and can function as a display in homes.
Since there Is no existing multi-pack or single serve tea envelopes of this product, I will be using the individual flavour boxes as reference.
Research shows many people want to travel with their tea while keeping it fresh. Tea envelopes make it easy for tea drinkers to carry single servings without hassle. Many tea enthusiasts also enjoy collecting tea envelopes, and attractive designs can encourage purchases for their collections.
The box itself will be aesthetically appealing, encouraging people to display it at home. Offering multiple flavours allows customers to experiment before committing to a full pack of one variety. The lid of the box will be removable with a perforated edge allowing for easy storage in the home.
While the Fruit flavoured fusion range is often sold in packs with 20 teabags, a multipack with 24 teabags across four flavours will encourage and invite tea drinkers to sample a range of options without the burden of finishing 80 cups to enjoy variety.

This dieline was created by combining the designs of existing dielines.
I also made the dielines for the tea envelopes and teabag tags, everything was measured to ensure they fit together nicely

Here is the full colour dieline. I wanted to use the same colours that are known to the brand and can be easily recognized.
There is tw recipes on the sides of the boxes with a QR that when scanned takes you to Five Roses’s own website of recipes.

I made the tags with the intetion of them being printed on both sides and attacted to the string with staples.

The tea envelopes on the left is the front of the envelope and the ones on the right is the back of the envelope.
I have shown each envelope with their guides and without it.
I design the envelopes to be easily recognizable with colour making for easy and quick use in the home.
The little fruit in the top corners are visible even when the envelope is in the box, so people who are colourblind or even just people who are more visual, can use that as a way to indicate th flavours.

My product packaging addresses a combination of small inconveniences that make a big difference once solved. In the process Making Five Roses Fruit Flavoured Infusions easier to travel with and easy to identify with the bright colours when in a dark purse or bag. The tea envelopes and teabags tags capture the feeling and character behind each of the flavours and make them easily recognisable by their colour coded designs and illustrations.
With this packaging, people can try all the flavours in one purchase, and those who already love them can conveniently get them all at once. The Envelopes keeps the flavours fresh and prevent cross-contamination. This product is in an easy to use, convenient and aesthetically pleasing packaging, that can be displayed in the home, while fitting the Five Roses brand enough to be recognisable but still stand out enough in stores to catch your attention.
