27th Annual Simmental/SimAngus Bull and Female Sale

Welcome to the 2026 Belles & Bulls of the Bluegrass Sale!
We are excited to welcome you back for the 27th annual Belles & Bulls of the Bluegrass Sale. Whether you have been with us since the beginning or are joining us for the first time, we sincerely appreciate your interest in our program and your continued support over the years. This sale would not be possible without the loyal group of cattlemen and women who return each spring to evaluate and invest in the cattle we work hard to produce.
We are grateful for the friendships and partnerships that have been built through this sale over the past two decades. Your confidence in our program drives us to continue improving and offering cattle that will add value to your operations.
Over the past 27 years, our goal has remained the same—to raise practical, functional Simmental and SimAngus cattle that work for commercial cattlemen. We are proud of the offering we have assembled for this year’s sale. The bulls and females represented in this catalog come from cow families that have proven themselves year after year, and we believe this set of cattle offers the genetics, performance, and maternal strength to move your program forward. The genomics are complete on every lot in the sale, every animal selling is tested for homozygous polled and homozygous black, all bulls qualify for Kentucky CAIP funding, and as we have said, they are all bred, born and developed in the fescue-based environment where many of them will run. They are hardy and will thrive anywhere.
It is clearly an exciting time to be in the cattle business. Strong cattle markets are creating opportunities for producers across the country, and it is rewarding to see cattlemen being paid for the years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance that it takes to stay in this industry. Quality genetics have never been more important as producers work to capture the value the market is currently offering.
We hope you can come see this set of cattle in person and sit in the seats and bid on them— they are worth the trip from anywhere! As always, we will be broadcasting the sale live online on DVAuction.com and all videos will be available there. See page four for our guarantee and some additional information about what we believe sets us apart. Please reach out to any of our consignors or our consultants: Ryan Haefner, Dalton Lundy, Brent Tolle, Thomas Lundy, Lydell Meier, Todd Alford, or Chad Joines for assistance. We feel that we have assembled a top-notch marketing team and that you have a lot of options to evaluate these cattle.
Thank you again for your support, and we look forward to visiting with you on sale day or any time between now and then. We will be continuing to communicate and share information via our DV Auction site, our website, and via Facebook. Follow us at facebook.com/ bellesbullsofthebluegrass for real time updates, sale order, etc. and www.bellesandbullsofthebluegrass.com.
Sincerely,
The Belles & Bulls of the Bluegrass Sale Team

We couldn’t think of a better place to start off the 2026 Belles and Bulls of the Bluegrass than with an elite set of Delilah bulls. The influence of Delilah in our herd is huge. These four Recharge bulls have been special to watch develop. M414 is a potential calving ease sire that is high indexing with lots of added look and presence. 12 EPDs rank in the top 25% of the breed. Take your pick on any of these four bulls, you can’t go wrong. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Here is the highest indexing Delilah calf to date at a 170 API. M412 is another potential heifer bull with a top 4% CE and top 1% BW EPD. Jared and Kassi Werning recently sold a full brother to these Recharge bulls for $19,000. Phenotype and genotype deluxe bull here! The full sisters to these bulls will not be leaving the farm - going straight to the replacement pen. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Loads of potential in this bull. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Some call it bad luck when a sexed heifer embryo turns out to be bull. We consider ourselves lucky. M411 is a solid Next Level x Delilah that can add some value to a calf crop. We sold a full sister last year to our good friend Brent Mithoefer. The future of this mating is exciting. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

To be upfront about this bull, yes that is a real 114 pound birthweight. We completely understand if you just pass on by this bull. He is the result of an IVF embryo and was 14 days past his due date. We just wanted to put that out there. However, with added BW comes added performance in a top 3% EPD for WW. In a time of record feeder prices, that could reap huge rewards. Two full brothers sold to seedstock producers Baribault Livestock and A&A Farms in the 2025 sale. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Woodford sired calving ease bull. M68 started out at 40 pounds and is top 2% of the breed for CE. We would like to think he would be a heifer bull. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Star headed Woodford son. His dam is a good footed, good uddered black baldy cow. This bull could add a little color to your calf crop if you are looking to make baldies. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

An interesting Woodford son that is well balanced in his EPD profile. The 3/4 shot of this bull shows you his true shape and dimension. Be sure to check this bull out sale day. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

If you like a little chrome, then 470M is your bull. If you like elite phenotype, then 470M is your bull. We love the build of this bull. Structure is awesome, packed full of muscle and has a look and presence to him. Backed by the breed legend HPF Victoria B396E and sired by one of the hottest bulls in the breed. A pedigree combining Vicki and Summer - you can’t go wrong. Be sure to study this bull. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

WHF POINT PROVEN H45
WHF 350K

WHF ALLEY 350A
This is the only bull out of The Deuce in this year’s offering. He is an absolute standout! This is a bull that never has a bad day. Every time you walk in the pasture and you see a stud of a bull from a rear 3/4 angle, it seems to always be M350. The dam of this bull has knocked it out of the park on her first two calves. This young cow gets us and visitors that see her excited. Be sure to check out Lot 5 - the half-sister to M350. Qualifies for KY CAIP.
Point Proven is continuing to prove himself as a go to sire for keeping EPDs acceptable while not sacrificing looks. We continue to breed all of our heifers to him that we can. They are making great cows and solid bulls. All three of these bulls add value in different ways. M877 looks to be the best heifer bull of the group. M305 looks to be the performance bull. M366 looks to be the balanced trait bull. All qualify for KY CAIP.

A trio of fall Sentinel bulls that have a bright future. Sentinel was our herd sire we could put any cows with. He was a complete outcross to all of our cows. The more daughters we get into production and bulls we produce, we realize we lost him way too soon. Disposition is great on all his calves, EPDs are solid and body type is great. He possibly might be our most underrated herd bull. All qualify for KY CAIP.

When this bull hit the picture pen, he got my mind going. This is the type of bull that will get overlooked unless you study the whole picture. His mother is an 8-year-old, huge footed, good uddered power cow that is easy to look at. Innovator is ten years old and still breeding cows. Sired by Sentinel who passes on great structure, solid EPDs and unmatched disposition. Look at the EPDs - no extremes just really solid. Always remember that slow and steady wins the race! Qualifies for KY CAIP.

We will say it again; Sentinel cattle are good. Functional cattle never go out of style, and cattle with good dispositions gain better. Simple facts and assessments from years of feeding cattle. Don’t overlook a set of bulls that don’t chase extremes. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Here is the kickoff to the WHF spring bulls. N454 is the first and only bull calf out of our 454H donor that sells as Lot 200. We have several daughters in production and starting into production. She is passing on her beautiful udder and great disposition while combining that with all that the Sentinel genetics have done for us. It is a no brainer to add genetics like this to your herd. We really like everything about this bull. Well balanced EPD profile, excellent phenotype and pedigree deluxe. We are strongly considering keeping half possession and interest on N454, so please reach out with questions. Our final decision will be noted sale day through the supplement sheet. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

These are the last two Sentinel bulls we have in the offering. We may sound like a broken record but again, balanced EPD bulls with solid phenotype. Bulls that will make replacements, bulls or feeder calves. N241 is backed by a power cow with huge feet and a great udder. N65 stems back to the legendary WHF Summer cow. She is another great uddered, good footed cow that is doing things right for us. Lot 20 female is a maternal sib to N65. Both qualify for KY CAIP.

WHF 382D

WHF DAWN 382D Birth Date 1/2/25
N382
This bull is in a league of his own as far as performance and efficiency goes. N382 has been a curve bender since birth, weaning off at 825 actual and 1306 adjusted at a year. If you want one that is massive in his build with extra growth on paper, this is the one for you. This is the second bull that 382D has produced like this. The first one sold to Hart Simmentals, WHF To The Point K382, that sired bulls in their recent production sale that averaged over $19,000. Qualifies for KY CAIP.
A really nice Point Proven son out of a first calf Sentinel daughter. This is a pedigree combination we would like to have more of. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Solid Point Proven bull backed by an awesome cow. She had a great show career for Eli Mundy and is making her way in the donor pen. We have a spring born full sister that, for a baby, is pretty neat to look at. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

The top open heifer from our 2021 sale was WHF Lila 045H, selling 1/2 interest to the Walther family of Indiana. Lila is becoming a great producer. The daughters are making awesome cows, and the bulls are studs. This pair of bulls out of one of the most dominant show bulls, Coping with Destiny, have look, style and are packed full of red meat. Maternal sister sells as Lot 25. Both qualify for KY CAIP.

Another WHF Lila 045H son that fits the mold - she is producing good bulls. To tell you how high we are on this family, we planned to sell a fourth son but due to injury he can’t sell. We are hoping he is well enough by breeding season to run on our cows. We believe in this family. Maternal sister sells as Lot 25. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Jared and Kassi Werning gave us a lot of marketing material in their past production sale. Full brothers to N502 sold for $50,000, $44,000 and $35,000. That’s a pretty solid ROI. Obviously, this has been a very successful mating. Delilah continues to solidify her spot among the breed’s elite with bull and female production. Qualifies for KY CAIP. WHF DELILAH 45D DAM OF LOT 134

Here are a pair of full brothers sired by Krypton. He was a high selling bull out of the great KCC1 SWC Harmony. We have used a little Krypton to inject some of the Harmony genetics into our cows. The dam of these two bulls is royally bred, going back the famous Vicki donor that has made a lot of money for the Hicks family as well as many others. Be sure to check these bulls out in person. Harmony, Vicki, A021close up in the pedigree screams cow power. Both qualify for KY CAIP.

Striking baldy Vicki son that has an EPD profile you can build on. 5206N is a bull that will add some length and frame. The Recharge cattle are picking up steam across the country and will continue to. We plan to continue using him. Vicki cattle are as hot as they have ever been, with show ring success followed up by making extremely productive cows in the donor pen and the pasture. This bull has 132 maternal sibs. Vicki is doing something right selling over 1 million dollars worth in direct progeny. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

This is a very intriguing red bull. WS Kandi K20 is the number sixteen marbling cow in the breed. Her individual scan data was awesome. On hoof, she is an impressive heavy milking cow - not your typical super high marbling cow. Out of over 500 registered calves to Bet on Red, 5218N is the number one marbling EPD, number one TI, number two API, and number three milk EPD. And, yes, this bull is as good as his picturejust watch his video. A bull where two different worlds came together to make something great. A true out of the box thinking mating. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Nice balanced trait, baldy with some high-profile cow families behind him. 5201N’s dam is a full sister to Executive Order. 8543U and C4 are in the second generation back in his pedigree. 6105D is a beautiful uddered, great built cow. 15 EPDs in the top 50%. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Moderate framed baldy with a good disposition, backed by a really good Double Down daughter. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

517N is a big ribeye and high marbling bull. Sometimes those two don’t go together, but on 517N they do leading him to being in the top 2% for Terminal Index. C426M is a bull we like quite a lot, so much in fact that we used him this fall on several of our heifers that we are keeping. We believe he is a true calving ease bull, but he also is extremely well made and balanced. He stands on as good of a foot as you can make and is ultra sound in his structure. This is a bull to use if you plan to keep heifers - they will be highly maternal cows. We have more females out of his cow family (Avery 405B) in our herd than any other line we have. Genomically, he excels for calving ease, birth weight, marbling and indexes and posted strong actual weights at weaning and yearling versus his pen mates. Recommended for cows and heifers. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Power Plus! Massively dense, stout and packed with muscle. Scottie Smith bought a half-brother to him a couple of years ago as a top seller, and this bull is made very much the same way—pure performance. His dam, KCC1 Victoria 54F is one of our very best cows and comes from a strong background of bull producing females! He is also a genomic standout with an outcross pedigree and 12 EPDs in the top 50%. Recommended for cows and well managed heifers. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

He is stout and rugged no matter how you look at him, being big hipped, wide topped, long bodied and standing on a big foot and bone structure. He has a bit more frame also to help drive the growth you are looking for! He came in at weaning at more than 800 pounds and grew well post weaning in a large fescue grass pasture, and posts high percentile ranks for WW and YW. This bull packs about as much weight and dimension on his skeleton as you could ask one to. Watch his video, or come see him in person! He is extra dense structured, huge hipped, wide topped with a huge rib cage and is ultra flexible in his skeleton. He is long-bodied, attractive and pure and simple a STAND OUT - he is always easy to find! He is the first calf of the up-and-coming Brew Time Simmentals, Greg and Carrie Dotson, herdsire Swain Advocate C309L, and his young dam is a beautiful young cow from our Victoria 54F cow family. C503N projects extraordinary calving ease, but he is so much more than a heifer bull. His actual performance to weaning and yearling is impressive and he boasts 10 EPD traits in the top 50%, including very strong indexes. This is a bull that will work for a wide array of producers and one you should be certain to learn more about. Recommended for cows and heifers. Video of sire available at swainselect.com. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

Here is an outcross calving ease bull that can do that and so much more! If you have heifers to breed and calving ease is your priority, C507N is perfect. But he has also performed at every stage, being born at just 67 pounds, he did exactly what you would want and grew well to weaning and yearling, coming in at 744 and 1198 respectively. To see him now as a yearling, he has a masculine, muscular look and is one of our most rapidly improving bulls right now –he is really coming on! Genomically he is top 5% for both CE and BW, top 10% for maternal calving ease and high for docility, marbling and indexes, being top 10% for API. Recommended for cows and heifers. Video of dam available at swainselect.com. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

This is the power bull of the Roll Call sons which he exhibits in muscle, length and added frame! He has been impressive from day one and has only backed that up as he has grown, posting a 904 pound weaning weight and a 1443 pound yearling weight! With 14 EPD traits in the top 50%, he backs it up on paper with an outcross pedigree. His dam, Swain Wendelin C122J, is from our Avery cow family, so maternal strength is bred in. Her first calf was a sale highlight and high seller last year going to Mark & Laura Clark of Campbellsville, KY. There is a lot to like in this one! Recommended for cows. Video of dam available at swainselect. com. Qualifies for KY CAIP.
Chunky made and muscular—this is an outcross bull with white on his face that is one of our favorites. We will be keeping several females out of our RFS Roll Call sire group. They are really good cattle across the board. This is a really nice bull out of an excellent cow stemming from our highly maternal Avery cow family that we think so highly of! This is a do it all kind of a bull who came light and has grown fast and who has the phenotype to work on pretty much everything. Recommended for cows and heifers. Video of dam available at swainselect.com. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

This is a unique and special individual. Simply put, we believe he needs to go to a progressive program that focuses on red genetics. If we had a significant red program, we would keep him here to use, but we look forward to partnering with whoever buys him - if it’s an AI stud, a progressive purebred program, a red angus herd, or anyone who truly appreciates good cattle regardless of their color! His phenotype is that of a powerful breeding bull - he looks like a BEEF bull! Structure may be his greatest asset, standing on an ideal hoof coming into a powerful and flexible leg that’s hard to create. His individual performance has been extraordinary; he fits right in pound-for-pound with the other spring bulls in the pen. From a pedigree perspective, his dam, Swain Dulce Leonita C109J, stems from our Avery cow family and is a special treasure for us who will never leave here. She is featured by ST Genetics as a representative of her sire OMF Epic, and her first son is the powerhouse, Swain Advocate C309L owned by Greg and Carrie Dotson. (Take a look at his sire and dam videos in the support videos on our website, www.swainselect.com.) He is an outcross to almost all of the traditional red gene pool and brings an excellent EPD profile along with that with 16 traits in the top 50%! He’s young, but he’s mighty and we believe he represents a significant investment opportunity. Video of dam available at swainselect.com. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

This red stripe faced bull is ready to go to work; a coming two-year-old that will catch your attention. As the 2025 sale approached, we realized he should’ve been in the sale. Being young, we held him out. Fast forward to now, he was slow grown the past year and looks like an athlete ready to go. M45 is an outcross to all of the hot red bulls out there. Loads of potential. Qualifies for KY CAIP.

All bulls purchased through the Kentucky CAIP program are required to have genomically enhanced EPDs or have an accuracy value for Calving Ease EPD of .25 or above to be considered. All bulls in the catalog have genomically enhanced EPDs. You can use the Kentucky Bull Assessment Tool to determine if they qualify for the program. As always, please contact your county extension office for more information and assistance.

Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs): EPD are the most accurate and effective tool available for comparing genetic levels. In using EPD, the difference between two sires’ EPD represents the unit difference expected in the performance of their progeny. For example, if sires A and B have EPD of +10 and –5, a 15-unit difference would be expected in their progeny (moving from -5 to +10 yields 15 units). Key to using EPD is knowing what units they are expressed in. For example, if the above case referred to weaning weight EPD, A would be expected to sire 15-pounds more weaning weight than B. If calving ease were the trait, A would be expected to sire 15-percent more unassisted births in first-calf heifers; in other words, if B sired 30 assists in a group of 100 heifers, we’d expect A to require 15 assists. A percentile-ranking chart is required to determine where a bull’s EPD rank him relative to other bulls in the breed. For percentile rankings or more detailed information about EPD and $ indexes visit www.simmental.org. Listed below are the units ASA EPD are expressed in:
All-Purpose Index (API): Dollars per cow exposed under an all-purposesire scenario. (See below for more details.)
Back Fat (BF): Inches of backfat.
Birth Weight (BW): Pounds of birth weight.
Calving Ease (CE): Percent of unassisted births when used on heifers.
Carcass Weight (CW): Pounds of carcass weight.
Maternal Calving Ease (MCE): Percent of unassisted births in firstcalving daughters.
Milk (MLK): Pounds of weaning weight due to milk.
Marbling (MRB): Marbling score.
Maternal Weaning Weight (MWW): Pounds of weaning weight due to milk and growth.
Ribeye Area (REA): Square inches of ribeye.
Stayability (STAY): Percent of daughters remaining in the cowherd at 6 years of age.
Ribeye Area (REA): Square inches of ribeye.
Warner-Bratzler Shear Force (WBSF): Pounds of force required to shear a steak.
Stayability (STAY): Percent of daughters remaining in the cowherd at 6 years of age.

Terminal Index (TI): Dollars per cow exposed under a terminal-sire scenario. (See below for more details.)
Weaning Weight (WW): Pounds of weaning weight.
Yearling Weight (YW): Pounds of yearling weight.
Yield Grade (YG): Yield grade score.
$ Indexes: Though EPD allow for the comparison of genetic levels for many economically important traits, they only provide a piece of the economic puzzle. That’s where $ indexes come in. Through wellconceived, rigorous mathematical computation, $ indexes blend EPD and economics to estimate an animal’s overall impact on your bottom line. The same technology that led to the dramatic progress in swine, poultry and dairy genetics over the last several decades was used to develop the following $ indexes:
All-Purpose Index (API): Evaluates sires for use on the entire cow herd (bred to both Angus first-calf heifers and mature cows) with the portion of their daughters required to maintain herd size retained and the remaining heifers and steers put on feed and sold grade and yield.
Terminal Index (TI): Evaluates sire for use on mature Angus cows with all offspring put on feed and sold grade and yield.
Using API and TI: First, determine which index to use; if you’re keeping replacements use API, if not, TI. Then, just as with EPD, zero in on the unit difference between bulls. (As described above, index units are in dollars per cow exposed.) The difference can be used to determine how much a bull is worth compared to another. Or, put another way, how much you can pay for one bull compared to another. For example, when buying an all-purpose-type sire, you can quickly figure a bull scoring +100 for API is worth an extra $6,000 over a +50 bull if both are exposed to 30 cows over 4 years ($50 diff. x 30 hd. x 4 yr. = $6,000). A percentileranking chart is required to determine where a bull’s index value ranks him relative to other bulls in the breed. For percentile rankings or more detailed information about EPD and $ indexes visit www.simmental.org.

We like to focus on a select few open heifers to sell. 513N was a no brainer to put in the sale. This WHF Delilah 453J (Lexie) x Woodford has the makings to be great. This early September heifer is stout, powerful and ready to go to town. This is one that is built to continuously get better with age. Woodford daughters are gaining steam in the show ring and the pasture - they just work. Study her pedigree here. AnnLawrence Allen has been showing one we call Jolene; she’s a 3/4 sister to 513N. We are starting to get more Lexie calves as well, and they are special; just check out Lots 2 and 3. Beginner heifer disposition.

We do not make a lot of percentage cattle, but these two make us think about making more. Encore has been very hot in the show world, and Lexie is having a coming out party in Lots 1 through 3. And wait until we debut her bull calves next year! This full sister to Point Proven is doing big things. Beginner heifer disposition on both of these females.

With the recent announcement of the Phenotype/Genotype show at the 2026 AJSA Regional shows, this heifer just got a little more interesting. 451N has an extremely balanced EPD profile and is very solid in her phenotype. She is exactly what we think of when talking about PGS heifers. Another Woodford daughter that goes back to a full sister to Point Proven. Beginner heifer disposition.

Have you noticed a recurring theme in these open heifers? They all trace back to the same cow in some way, WHF Delilah 45D. This was not by purpose and just hit me while writing footnotes. 350N is another PGS candidate with high growth and good indexing for a fancy heifer. Don’t let this fancy heifer picture fool you; she will make an awesome cow. Her mother has done an awesome job. Check out Lot 116, a maternal brother. Beginner heifer disposition.

Super complete, multidimensional, solid black female with layers of value. Phenotypically, she is complete, functional, deep made and sound. Genotypically she is compelling with 11 EPD traits in the top 50%. She is backed by the matriarch JM BF H25 cow family and a full sister to HOC Broker and is sired by the high accuracy cow maker, TJ Gold. Individually, she performed across the scale at every stage. Check out the planned mating EPDs!
This is a baldy version from the Fergie and JM BF H25 cow family sired by OMF Hard Right out of a really nice W/C Executive Order female who has consistently produced good ones for us. She boasts 13 EPD traits in the top 50% with excellent individual performance. This female is easy to be around and very easy doing, exemplifying the value of efficiency traits. She will click with Kodiak!

This is one that people will go crazy about sale day. She gets better weekly! The combination of Gibbs Essential on the Candy Cane cow, who descends from Miley Cottontail and the famous JM BF H25 line, really worked. This one is disposition plus, being super easy to be around and is genomic gold with 12 EPD traits in the top 50%. She epitomizes what selection for balance can result in; excellent, functional cattle that are easy to look at and profitable to raise. Her mating to Point Proven will only build on that. Check her out sale day - she will be a favorite!

This is a definite genetic gem. She is a direct descendant of our cornerstone Mindy cow and with being one of the few we have left; we should probably not be selling her. We have based everything we do on great cow families, and she comes from one of the breed’s best! Genomically, she has the numeric profile that could set her up to produce a great one, with 14 EPD traits in the top 50% and many in the top 20%. We can see her being ultra impressive as a 4-year-old and beyond! Video of dam available at swainselect.com.

C419M is designed as well as one can be. She is moderate, stout structured, sound and functional. Cow families are what generates predictability and consistency. She comes from the Rita 5H11 Angus cow family, which is one of the best in the history of the beef business, and with Victoria on the top side, she is deep in maternal genetics! With her stout design she should mate well with TERS Kodiak and produce the next generation of quality right off the bat. Video of dam available at swainselect.com.

When we targeted the Victoria family several years ago from Kearns to start a new family here, this one’s dam was the first one we acquired. We couldn’t be happier we did as they are consistently excellent cattle with great feet and udders and are some of the best bull making cows we own. This daughter of OMF Hard Right gets better each day and it is one we suspect will be a favorite come sale day. Genomically, she represents the sort of multi trait balance we are striving to produce with 15 EPD traits in the top 50%! Her mating to Schooley Haggard is off the charts!

The SAV Blackcap May 4136 family is aligned to greatness across the beef industry. C417M is a direct descendant of this great cow. Sired by the rare and valuable 20-20, she combines a lot to like and makes the choice to sell her a head scratcher for us. She exemplifies power and a cow look that is hard to find. She is great in her lines, massive in her rib shape, extremely efficient and remains attractive to look at. Her young dam gets better with age, and will be a prominent part of our future as we continue to focus on building on truly great cow families. Her mating to Point Proven is one that will add the great Delilah to the pedigree, and we can only imagine what that calf will bring to the table. This is a high-quality donor prospect, and we would like to retain a conventional flush or IVF cycle out of her at the buyer’s convenience. Video of dam available at swainselect.com

The Limestone Vale Bar W966 cow family is one that has produced at a very high level in both Simmental and Angus circles. They are highly functional, high-quality cattle built for the long haul. C413M is a daughter of the genomic standout, KBHR Quigley, adding another power cow family to her pedigree through his dam. We believe that the Bar CK Ms X38 106Z is one of the most influential dams in the production-oriented Simmental gene pool. Great cattle are built on great dams and maternal strength, and when you start stacking it up, you build in predictability. C413M has 11 EPD traits in the top 50% of the breed with 8 in the top 20%. She is a very unique breeding piece and safe to TERS Kodiak representing an opportunity to create a very interesting purebred calf in the late spring when the weather is good and the grass is green! Maternal sister sells at Lot 14. Video of dam available at swainselect.com.

C306L is another feature we wanted to present as we introduce our Vale Bar cow family. The only reason we are selling her is we have retained a heifer calf out of her by Quigley that we are very high on to continue her linage in our herd. Sired by the cow making TJ Gold, she is very balanced both phenotypically and genomically. She’s deep, long made, easy fleshing, efficient and great footed and sound! We mated her to the up-and-coming ST Genetics sire, KBHR Gratitude (sexed heifer semen) to add in another strong cow family in Sugar C4 and to leverage the genomic and phenotypical strength he brings to the table. This is a powerful 3-year-old that may just write her own chapter in the Vale Bar line! Maternal sister sells at Lot 13. Video of dam available at swainselect.com.

Super deep bodied, extra attractive daughter of our daughter of the famous Red Jewel! She is a different twist on the pedigree being sired by the cow maker TJ Gold and out of the outcross, Vantage Point. This one has the frame to be a bull maker, and with the look and pedigree she has, she could get off to a whale of a start when she has her Kodiak calf soon after the sale. She is growth oriented through and through with powerful individual performance and good EPDs and indexes across the board. Video of dam available at swainselect.com.
When we look at bulls that make great females, ones with Top Grade in their pedigree are always interesting to use because they just flat work. This direct daughter out of him from the YC BIK B80 cow family should do exactly that. She also has the frame to be a bull maker, and she’s bred to the one we would have mated her to in order to do that if she was staying here. She should be a perfect match with Bridle Bit Recharge. The Recharges have sold like crazy this spring and should get you off and running fast with her calf due in May! Check out her numbers and the planned mating EPDs!

Like Angelica C123J, Reese C204K comes from the Swain Avery 405B family. She is more moderate framed and is a super star calf mother! We have a few Boulder daughters, and they are truly excellent, hard-working cows that are beautiful to look at with wonderful udders! We have retained two exciting heifers out of her who continue our journey in this branch of the Avery family. She has calved easy and brought big stout heifers to weaning each year. We hate to see this one go, but with the daughters we are keeping, we know we have a foundation to build on. Check out the planned mating EPDs on her mating to Quadrant! To say the least, it’s an exciting cross, and we have already seen it work multiple times on the Avery cow family.
C123J and her page mate, Reese C204K, are the first two females we have ever let leave the farm out of our Swain Avery 405B cow family. They are some of our very best and productive cows. We have retained a daughter out of C123J by Swain Advocate C309L that we are very high on. This is another efficiency oriented, easy doing female with a beautiful udder who is big footed, looks like a female and walks on a great foot! She will be a year over year profit driver, and you will get an example of that really quickly when she has her Sentinel C102J calf. Video of dam available at swainselect.com.

We really like our Lila daughters and sons. She is set to have a March calf by Woodford. This cow is really impressive but this mating has us even more excited. Woodford is making a big name for himself across the breed. Maternal or full sib to Lots 131 through 133.
Elegant, well-made Delilah daughter that is making a great udder. Bred to Recharge for a March calf. The combination of Delilah and Recharge works - just look at the Lot 100 through 104 bulls.

We sold three full sisters to this female last year and another full sister, WHF Delilah 456K (Dolly), is a lead donor for Beshears Simmental and WHF. WHF Delilah 459K and calf sold in the 2025 sale to Sutton Hohn for $9,500. Fast forward 10 months and her bull calf sells for $35,000. We consider that a pretty great ROI.

Lot 28

PB SM | Homozygous Polled | Homozygous Black

The past several years we have been selling Andie daughters, and we are bringing another good one this year. 401M is a full sister to the recent Cattlemen’s Congress high selling female, WHF Andie 411M, selling for $21,500 after a great year of being shown by Ashlyn Popp.

Here are a pair of 198H daughters that will make excellent cows. 198H bulls and females have done well for us over the past few years. Both of these females are bred to Point Proven which could lead to a great ROI. Be sure to check out these two pairs on sale day.

A nice pair of Clear Advantage females. These two are setting up to make good uddered, productive females that will last. Green grass is coming on - turn them out and watch them take off.

Just the way the catalog laid out put this pair of Sentinel heifers as the last two lots. But like I said on the first bred we have listed, we would be glad to put any of these females back into production at WHF. Study the Sentinel bulls and the footnotes. We are very high on his genetics and these two fit in the same way, very good on hoof and balanced on paper.

Every year we try to think of a special lot to sell that makes us ask the question, should we do this? Well, here she is! This year we decided to sell half embryo interest in WHF Delilah 454H, a daughter of 45D. We are selling her natural calf as Lot 125. That is her only bull calf. Daughters in production are doing great and several more are in the replacement pens. We have not sold any progeny yet. You cannot have enough great uddered, productive females in your herd. 454H is a full sister to WHF Greater Good J45 and WHF Entourage H45, as well as a maternal sib to many other high-profile bulls and donor females. She is the cow that when you go into the pasture, you stop and stare and think man this cow is awesome. Selling half embryo interest.

WHF Summer 004J (Jazzy) was successfully campaigned by AnnLawrence Allen. She started off her career as Reserve Fall Heifer Calf Champion at the 2022 NAILE and ended her career as Supreme Champion Cow-Calf Pair at the Kentucky State Fair. Also, she was Reserve Champion Owned Cow-Calf Pair at the 2024 Junior National. Her Point Proven calf was the $36,000, half interest pick of our 2024/25 bull calf crop. She currently has a Greater Good heifer in our show barn and a Recharge heifer that won’t be leaving our pastures.
