WELCOME TO 2026
If winter is the season to slow down, then Tastes of Greater Geelong is your invitation to do it properly - with a full table, a great glass of something local and good company to match.
Celebrating 15 years in 2026, this much-loved festival continues to showcase the depth, creativity and quality of our region’s food, beverage and hospitality scene.
With more than 70 events across Greater Geelong, the program offers a rich mix of experiences, from immersive dining to vibrant markets, wine tastings and family-friendly events for little tastebuds.
Standout events include Tastes Ambassadors Darren Purchese and Cath Claringbold’s ‘From Soil to Sweet Nourish Workshop’ and Hamo Hospitality’s ‘The Heritage Table’, hosted by Simon Toohey, which celebrates Geelong’s historic spaces through seasonal produce and regional storytelling.
This year’s program kicks off with the first ever Geelong City Winter Night Market, which will transform Little Malop Street into a hawker-style market filled with local eats, music and roving entertainment.
Expect warming drinks, marshmallow roasting and indulgent flavours to begin our month-long celebration of the Geelong region’s incredible food scene.
At its heart, Tastes is about backing our local hospitality businesses and encouraging people to get out and explore during the cooler months, discovering new venues, new flavours and the people behind them.
Take your time with the program, follow your curiosity and make the most of what’s on offer, there is plenty here to savour.
CR STRETCH KONTELJ OAM City of Greater Geelong Mayor
AMBASSADORS’ WELCOME
Winter has a way of bringing people together around food, wine and shared experiences, and that’s exactly what makes Tastes of Greater Geelong so special.
What we love most about this region is its incredible diversity — from passionate growers and winemakers to chefs, producers and small local businesses creating genuinely memorable experiences. There’s a strong sense of community here, and you can feel it in every venue, every meal and every conversation.
Tastes is a chance to slow down, explore somewhere new and celebrate the people behind the food. Whether it’s a long lunch, hands-on workshop, family outing or beautifully curated dinner, there’s something for everyone to discover across the region this winter.
We’re thrilled to be part of this year’s festival and encourage everyone to get out and experience it for themselves.
