Middlefield Bank Merges With Farmers National

The Geauga Home and Garden Show returns this spring with its largest footprint yet, bringing together more than 120 vendors across three buildings and two locations in Middlefield. Now in its 19th year, the annual event will take place from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 27, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 28, according to an event press release. The show will span two buildings at Heritage Marketplace and one large building at nearby Fisher Flooring, offering attendees a full weekend of inspiration for home, garden and outdoor projects, the release said. “This year’s show promises to be better than ever,” said show organizer Paul Wengerd in a statement. “Utilizing three buildings across two locations allows us to offer more vendors, greater variety

Immediate changes are few for customers of the Middlefield Banking Company after the homegrown institution officially merged with Farmers National Bank of Canfield. Farmers announced on March 2 the paperwork for the merger is complete. Integration of the two banks is expected to take place between Aug. 20-24, according to both institutions’ websites, which provided the following instructions for customers. Geauga County residents who use Middlefield Bank will not have to replace their debit cards and they may continue using their Middlefield Bank checks. After August, new checks should be ordered through Farmers National Bank. “Middlefield customers should continue to bank at their regular branch location. On August 24, 2026, customers will be able to

bank at all 83 Farmers National Bank locations,” Middlefield Bank’s FAQ page said, noting customers can use ATMs at those locations without paying any ATM surcharge fees starting the first week of March.
