Welcome to the 4th Quarter of gearhead fun for 2020... This issue brings in October and the last quarter of the year for everyone.

51st NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville. There was a lot of wait and see if it would really happen, especially under Kentucky state guidelines, but it did and was a success for all things considered. Summer ends and now we are in the last of 2020. Flew by didn't it! Over the past 3 weeks there have been a LOT of gearhead events taking place across the USA. Again kudo’ to those putting the vents on and working with the local governments to make them happen. There are a lot more events coming up in October too. This issue like the last few are FULL of gearhead fun across the USA. You can have gearhead fun if you feel comfortable with going to an event. Most every event we have listed strongly suggests to follow the guidelines set up in that area to stay safe. No debate here...each person needs to do what they feel is right for them and their families AND think about other people you will be around. Courtesy and Kindness goes a long way...support each other, we are all we have. Now...go turn the ignition key...

I for one do not like to wish my life away to get to any particular date...BUT the sooner 2020 concludes the better. I know most everyone feels the same way. 2020 started out great with the ISCA and other indoor car shows as well as out door events in warmer climates in full swing. Gearhead events took a BIG dive in the middle of March to basically non-existent. So much for the 1st quarter of the year, Spring of 2020 didn't see too much of anything taking place. It was really a state by state and city by city situation. Participation was way done for any event taking place. Summer saw more gearhead events taking place, again depending on the local government guidles lines. Much credit goes to those car clubs and organizations who pushed forward with their summer events. Dodge Gives 2021 Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker, T/A 392 Widebody Package Dodge is expanding the availability of its Widebody Package, bringing it to the Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker and T/A 392 for the 2021 model year. “The Widebody on Charger and Challenger continues to gain traction, making way for wider wheels and tires, which means more grip and faster times at the drag strip,” said Tim Kuniskis, “Bringing that Widebody capability to the Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker and T/A 392 allows us to stick to that successful formula and offer more performance to more members of the Brotherhood of Muscle.” Building on of the Challenger R/T Scat Pack, the Challenger Scat Pack Shaker and T/A 392 are powered by the same naturally aspirated 392 HEMI V-8 that delivers 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. The Tremec six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission is available. The Widebody on the Challenger R/T Scat Pack adds 3.5 inches of overall width, rides on 305/35ZR20 Pirelli tires mounted to 20-by-11-inch wheels and has an SRT-tuned chassis and SRT-tuned high-performance adaptive damping suspension. It also features steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters (with automatic transmission), dual-extractor hood, SRT Performance Pages with drive modes and Line Lock, which engages the front brakes to hold the Challenger stationary, but leaves the rear wheels free for a burnout to heat up and clean the rear tires. Now, new for 2021, Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker and T/A 392 buyers who opt for the Widebody Package will get the same Widebody performance, which includes an improvement of close to 2 seconds per lap, or 12 car lengths, compared with the R/T Scat Pack, Dodge says. In a quarter-mile comparison, the Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody gains .2 seconds, running a 12.1-second ET at 112 mph. 2021 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody As the name suggests, the cold-air grabbing Shaker extends from the engine compartment, directing cooler air back into the 392 HEMI V-8 engine. Like the original 1970 Challenger R/ T with the Shaker hood, the R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody continues the Dodge brand’s tradition of an engine-mounted hood scoop that “shakes” with the movement of the powertrain. The functional Shaker hood comes with a Mopar cold-air intake, conical air filter and optimized air box for improved airflow and performance. Lift the hood and enthusiasts will also be treated to a “SHAKER” underhood decal — reminiscent of the original 1970 Challenger. 2021 Dodge Challenger T/A 392 Widebody Initially built for the Sports Car Club of America’s (SCCA) Trans-Am racing series in 1970 with only 2,399 ever built, the original Challenger T/A is considered one of the most soughtafter muscle cars of all time, Dodge says. The 2021 Dodge Challenger T/A 392 Widebody builds on this legacy with unique appointments and performance hardware. 8

2021 North American International Auto Show Moved to September The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) has announced it will move its reimagined indoor and outdoor show, originally planned for summer 2021, to Sept. 28 – Oct. 9, 2021. “We have talked with many of our partners, particularly the OEMs, and they are fully on board and excited about the date change,” NAIAS Executive Director Rod Alberts said. NAIAS will remain a fall show going forward after the inaugural event in September 2021, organizers said. Show dates have already been secured with TCF Center for the next three years. NAIAS organizers secured dates towards the end of the month, in part, to be mindful of the new IAA in Munich, which is scheduled for the first full week in September. “Our responsibility as an auto show is to host a global stage for current products as well as mobility innovations of tomorrow,” Alberts said. “September is an excellent time of year for new product, and at the same time, alleviates the challenges a now crowded spring auto show calendar presents for auto show stakeholders.” “Spreading out major auto shows is a win for everyone, particularly our partners. It gives auto companies an opportunity to give it their best at each and every show, which creates excitement for those who attend, too,” Alberts said. “With seasonable autumn temperatures and technology and experiential activations positioned throughout the city, show visitors will be able to enjoy fall in a walkable, vibrant Motor City while embracing the future of the industry right before their eyes,” 2021 NAIAS Chairman Doug North said. North said the September 2021 show will include the same product experiences that were originally planned for the June show, including dynamic displays and ride-and-drives. The NAIAS campus will include product and technology activations both inside TCF Center and throughout the city. NAIAS will continue to host seven shows in one: Motor Bella, The Gallery, Press Preview, AutoMobili-D, Industry Preview, Charity Preview and Public Show. Additionally, NAIAS is launching a new virtual thought leadership series, Q’d Up Mobility. The monthly series will provide a glimpse into what the 2021 show has queued up for guests. 9

The show will be from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM with registration open until noon. All years of Mustangs,

Shelbys and Ford bodied and Ford powered vehicles are welcome. The Car Show Registration Donation is $25.00 per vehicle, there is no entrance fee for spectators. As in the past this show will be a popular vote format with awards presentation at 3:00 PM. There will be over 25 classes available with top 3 awards in each class plus awards for Best in Class Early Mustang, Best in Class Late Mustang and the Jim Osborn Award. There will be show T-shirts available for purchase, with last year’s Best of Show Early Mustang; Best of Show Late Mustang and Jim Osborn award winners centered on the back, plus there will be a 50/50 drawing that will benefit Toys for Tots. The first day, Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, will

be exclusively a swap meet and car corral. Sunday October 11, 2020 will be the classic car show including a continuation of the swap meet and car corral. We invite you to participate in our event for both days. As it was for the last two years, the cost for each 20’X20’ space will be $25.00, if pre-registered by September 26, 2020. The one-time $25.00 payment will secure your spot for both days. There are no additional charges. The space cost is for the entire show, not per day. After September 26, 2020 each 20’X20’ space will be $50.00. We will have two swap areas for this year’s show, which will create nearly 700 swap spaces. One of the swap areas will be outside the fairgrounds main gate on grass this year located north of the center entrance. The second swap area will be inside the fairgrounds gate on gravel, which will also include indoor swap spaces in a commercial building as it has been for the last two years. The Vintage Drags are dedicated to vintage speed. You will see early style hot rods, racecars,

gassers, dragsters and more tearing down the same old dragstrip in the heart of Texas that has been raced on for decades. This is an event that you will need to experience in person to appreciate.
