FAQs What is the dress code for my clinical experience?

Business casual with closed-toe shoes. University program polo shirts are acceptable. Please wear your name tag that identifies you as a student/intern. No open-toe shoes, revealing shirts that are too short, too low, or too tight. Please check with your CI regarding attire.

Where do I park?

Please park your car in the back of the clinic or off to the side in front of the clinic. Save those good parking spots for our patients! Your CI might also have additional instructions depending on the location.

Can I bring my lunch?

Check with your CI, but most clinics have a refrigerator and microwave. You will be oriented to these your first day.

What is my schedule during my rotation?

Please contact your CI directly for the days and hours of your rotation.

How can I prepare for my clinical experience?

Come prepared to learn with a positive and engaging attitude! Review the basics such as anatomy, kinesiology, ROM, MMT, and special tests so you can focus on complex concepts with your CI. Ask your CI if there is any information prior to the rotation that is relevant to the caseload or specialty in the clinic.

What documentation system will I be using?

Prompt will be used for our documentation system in the clinic. Please see instructions on how to use Prompt on your laptop that you will bring to the clinic daily. Do not log in prior to your start date, as it will not be activated, and Prompt will be locked.

Any tips for a successful clinical experience?

This is your learning opportunity, so let’s make the most of it! Open communication, preparedness, professionalism, and a growth mindset are all components of a successful clinical experience!
