Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a proud member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Newport News, where she nurtured her spiritual connection and shared her love for her Lord and Savior.
Shelia was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Willie J. Daniels and Willie Pearl Harris. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her beloved daughter Sherae Mullins, her cherished granddaughter Autumn Gentle, and her brothers Ricky Daniel (Cynthia), Jayson Daniels, Sr. (Betty Ann), and Jeffery Daniels. She also leaves a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends.
While we mourn her passing, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched countless lives with her kindness and love. Her legacy of faith, family, and friendship will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
May Shelia rest in eternal peace, knowing she was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed.
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I’ve found that peace at the end of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes, these things too I will miss Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life’s been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one ’ s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; don’t lengthen it now with undue grief

Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, If so, we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, As any friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all, Just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, We thank you so much, whatever the part.
