The Life of Dorothy Louise Pearsall affectionally called “Weenie” was a devoted wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. On Sunday, June 1, 2025, she peacefully accepted her angel wings surrounded by her family and friends at the age of 83. Dorothy was born on November 2, 1941, in Baltimore, MD to the late Benjamin Sr. and Mary Louise Richardson. She was adopted and reared by the late Leroy and Carrie Jackson in the Fentress section of Chesapeake, VA. She was predeceased by a step-sister (Adgie L. Johnson), a brother (Benjamin Richardson Jr.); her husbands: Woody Lee Evans and Hosey Pearsall; daughter-in-law: Denise Evans and two step-children. Education was important to her. She graduated from Crestwood High School and received a certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from Tidewater Community College. She worked over 20 years at the Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) until retiring in 2017.Dorothy aka “Weenie” was an amazing mother of sixchildren. She was a very quiet and meek lady, who rarely raised her voice. She loved to dance, shop, dine-out, and loved the color of red. Some would say that she never went anywhere without it on and her vehicle was red too. Dorothy loved and cherish her family. She always told her family, no matter what, “always stick together.” She loved attending Sunday school and bible study at Bethany Baptist Church. Left to cherish her legacy are her beloved children: LaRay Dasher, Woody Evans, Bridgette Roscoe, Kissell Evans, Quesean Rice (Keith), Donnecia Evans; several step-children; a brother: Ronald Nicholson; a sister: Rosaline Heath; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; special sons Kirk Roscoe, Anthony Dasher, and Robert Jones; two special sisters over 80 years: Shirley Wilmore and Olivia Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
