Oxygen monitoring and Gas Monitor Training

Page 1

Oxygen monitoring and Gas Monitor Training Oxygen is a lifesaving gas and we cannot imagine our life without it. It is significant for all living creatures, but this is taken lightly by us. And this is because we know that we are surrounded with it but this is not true and there are certain times when its concentration in the air is not up to the mark. There are certain industrial setups where the workers do not breathe in the air with sufficient oxygen quantity and rather its presence goes for a toss in such environment where gas upstream industry is set up.

ODH or Oxygen Deficiency Hazards are the situations when the oxygen concentration is diluted with other gases like methane or natural gas used at residential and commercial settings or nitrogen due to leakage. When such a situation exists then level of oxygen in the air gets low that becomes the reason behind causing health issues and worse, can cause a death. In order to take control of such a situation, it is important that safety protocols are followed or the staffs get the gas monitor training to manage the situation. Safety equipment should be present in adequate amount. One important device here is the gas detectors and oxygen monitors to measure the real time air oxygen. Whenever there is a drop in the level of the oxygen, it will blow off, alerting the workers and the safety personnel to be ready with apt response.
