In the world of live music at the Club, we are adding another amazing singer to our lineup. Deryk Cunnigham has several dates in the Rocks Lounge this month, including tomorrow. He is wonderful, and we hope you enjoy his live music.
Thank you for a large turnout at our final Music Under the Stars last weekend, everyone attending enjoyed the experience and all appeared to be having a wonderful evening.
Our Fitness Team is also rolling out a series of new group fitness classes and with more classes at times convenient to your busy schedules, so we hope that you will come out and work on your vitality and health at these fun classes.
Greg Heartt, our Director of Racquet Sports, is doing an excellent job and you will note an increase in clinics, junior programs, tournaments and fun events.
The Fall Festival that we added last year is back with the Great Pumpkin Patch, Beer Garden, live music and everything fall for an enjoyable and fun afternoon with your family and friends. Watch for your member communication and further details for the event on October 15th

Golden Tennies- (a twist on ‘Silver Sneakers’) is for people 65 & over; and will include movements and exercises to help improve balance, gain strength by increasing lean body tissue (muscle), and remind you that “motion is lotion.”
The goal? To help you stay strong in body, mind, and spirit. Regular physical activity keeps your heart, brain, bones, muscles, and joints healthy.
If you have chronic conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, or osteoporosis, safe exercise can help you feel better.
Plus, staying social is vital to good health.
HEALTHY SPINE CLINIC

Join Strata Fit trainer, Ty Arcilia, and learn about the role the spine plays throughout your daily activities and what the spine should actually be doing on a daily basis. You will be introduced to the concept of a neutral spine and what it takes to achieve that goal with demonstrations of various drills and exercises to help maintain a healthy spine. Proper biomechanics is key to sustaining a healthy spine and helps with awareness of the principles of lever ratio which is an important step in learning how to practice those proper mechanics and keep a spine healthy from one's head to the low back.

JUST A REMINDER…
As we move toward Fall, please remember to fill your divots with the sand/seed provided on your golf carts. The golf course will be better in the Spring if we all continue to practice proper course maintenance. Please repair your ball mark and 1-2 others when on the putting surface. Leave it better than you found it. You will be amazed at how much better the greens will roll!
Members bringing repeat guests to the course, please remember our policy is 6 guests visits per year with the same guest. We appreciate everyone being respectful of this policy. Please don’t forget to fill in member/guest names to your tee times a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your starting time. TBD’s will be dropped after 48 hours.
Shirt tails are to be tucked in on the golf course and practice range. We’ve seen an abundance of shirt tails out/untucked this season and we politely remind both members and guests about our policy. Hat bills are to be forward-facing on the course and practice range. Again, thank you for your continued support of our golf programs and for making the overall experience enjoyable for everyone. Tyke Hike and Rock Identification
$35 per Jr. Member
Join Kids Club for a slow-paced hike from the Visitor Center to the Central garden for kids aged 2 to 10. This is the perfect addition to your home school curriculum. As we walk, there will be an activity to engage the kids with the flora and fauna of the Garden. At the central garden, we will take a break and read a book and have a snack. After the hike, we will learn the skills to identify different traits in rocks that geologists use to determine the rock type. The class will begin indoors in the Red Rocks Room so that we can learn the traits that we are looking for and how to measure them. Then we will head out into the Garden of the Gods and put our new knowledge to work identifying any rocks that we find! This class will be focused on Igneous Rocks.

Junior Members are invited to join Michael Bideau, education specialist, at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, for this exciting, guided scavenger hunt. The program begins with a short movie in the Geo-Trekker theater followed by exploring the exhibit rooms using our Scavenger Hunt cards and finishing up with a fun read-aloud and snack. We will finish with an experiment, with a fundamental question that is asked by kids every day, and then hands-on science will be used as a vehicle for engaging, discovering, and learning through actual experience, not just explanation.
